I didn’t think ArenaNet could mess this up any more, but just now a new build popped up and kicked us all out, I actually logged out while my party was still present and got back to the same overflow, but the event was gone.

Words cannot describe how unprofessional this is.

Why Anet… Why. Many people were still trying to complete the event for the first time and you remove it?

Hey man, they REALLY had to update the game for routine maintenance.

Obviously, doing it during an event was the best time to do it. They couldn’t have possibly waited until tomorrow, when the event was done. That would make too much sense.

I don’t even know how to get in. Even the instructions don’t tell you. For example, I went to the boat Paranormal Bear wrote about and nothing was there.

Seriously, i sit 8 hours on a broken dragonbrand and finally suck it up and log. Lucky to get on another server and almost got to end and got booted at 10PM pacific. Lucky to get into another server only to have you introduce a new build. God, you just killed probably 50% of all the goodwill you created in your player base in 1 weekend. Way to go. I will gladly go back to my $15 subscription to WOW since you couldn’t get your act together. How ridiculous can you be!

What goodwill they created? It was a one off that everyone miss out on. Plus there are never instructions because in game information is incomplete.

Nothing about their game update behavior has ever been professional. The hardcore WvW folks have been getting reamed each time with about 30 seconds of forewarning every time. Just built all your trebs and golems. Too bad for you. Very little of the “customer” experience so far has been professional at all.

It’s a real shame. I guess we now see the true difference between pay-once + microtransactions vs. monthly subscription.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWW Anet! People have lives like me, i had to work on my friends car earlier so i couldnt make it at 12pst time. 30 minutes ago I finally made it into an overflow with the event happening. You guys did a new build to get rid of the event… you shouldnt of booted anyone until all servers was done with events. Im pissed.

Event was supposed to be over 5 hours ago, be happy you got to seen the content at all if you missed it then. 1 time event is 1 time deal with it and stop crying

PS: I didn’t get any loot from the event either but I’m not crying because I know it was my fault I had things to do today and could not put time aside for the game.

Dear “valued” customer, although you seem to be telling a really cool story about being inconvenienced by our unprofessionalism and the overall amateur nature of our Mickey Mouse outfit, we regretfully inform you that we cannot hear your cries over the noise of the money machines that are currently counting what used to be “your” money as well as the noise of the loaders we are using to deposit it into our money pool.

Of course it’s our fault we couldn’t wake up at 4am on a Monday morning over here in Asia to participate in a one-off event with great loot drops to boot and giving all those lucky enough to complete the event a big advantage over those who did not. I get it.

Yeah timezone’s are a biatch huh. Too bad ArenaNet haven’t figured out that the Earth is round.

I couldn’t finish my first attempt for the event so I’m gonna whine about it.
Arenanet – “Geta chance 2 getz teh precursorz but do it now! F the people who have lives and need sleep!” Good job Arenanet you managed to get most of your fanbase to hate you. Serious slap on the face to the people who have been loyal to this stupid game.

Some of us were there during the hours the event was suppose to happen, but crash/disconnected/lag occurred so we missed out on what was rightfully ours. It was your choice to leave before the end, so you have no right to complain, but those of us who stuck it thru til the end but still missed out, they have every right to complain
