So I could use some advice on this new Marionette boss fight.
Specifically during the second phase where you go on to those five platforms.
When fighting that champion that you need to drag over its own mines, I’ve found that the thing consistently focuses on me no matter what I do. The only time it doesn’t come after me specifically is when I’ve been downed. This is causing me two fairly large problems:
1) I just don’t seem to have the defenses necessary for that level of sustained focus fire. I end up using my two dodges and a full bar of life force, but inevitably the thing pummels me into a corner and I end up downed (haven’t died yet though, which is good… I guess…)
2) Much more importantly I’m terrible at dragging the thing over its own mines, which means that no one else can damage the thing, and it’s causing our group to fail breaking our chain (there’s a lot going on and a lot of people are failing right now, so I might not be the sole reason we’re failing currently, but I’d like to be part of the solution rather than the problem…).
If I go around the mines the Champion follows me around them too— it doesn’t matter how closely I hug them, the stupid thing can apparently turn on a gosh-darned dime. I tried evading over the mines, but even when they don’t damage me they still detonate, meaning they don’t stun the Champ. I’ve had some success using Spirit Walk— I let the champ corner me then teleport away from it, but the cool down on that is too long to do it consistently.
I know the fight is still new, but if anyone has any advice on how to either a) survive this thing’s undivided attention, or b) get it over its own mines I’d be immesnely grateful!
Just to give you an idea of what I’m working with, I’ve been running the event on my 80 necromancer. I run a fairly standard 30/x/x/x/30 build, with Zerker weapons/trinkets and Knights armor. I also have an 80 Guardian or an 80 Engie I could do it on, but I’m far and away more comfortable with my necro.
Thanks again!
