Ambers spinning attack bugged?

Is there something bugged about Ambers AoE spin attack? Yesterday we did the fight against Amber and when we stack on the arrow with the debuff he tried his spinning attack which has a small radius. Now I’m seeing the same attack and animation but with a much larger radius. It alternates randomly between 2 different radii. Is it suppose to do this?

He has 2 separate spin attacks based off the size of his animations. The first one is small and just out of range of those important locations. This is when he performs his “Drool” attack and spits out the green goo at players. The second one is much larger, and can occur when players get close to the Wurm.

Can you tell me what exactly triggers the larger one though? I don’t remember seeing the larger one the first time so I’m just wondering if it was luck.
