I’ve had a lot of fun with this event, and I will be genuinely sad to see it go. While I would love to see this event stay, I know that it would inevitably die as people move on to the next “big thing.” These server-wide events are fun while they are in the spotlight, but they eventually become deserted when the attention of the playerbase shifts to something new. GW2 is already full of content that no one takes advantage of. Tequatl still ravages the coast of Sparkfly Den despite the fact that no one shows up to fire a single cannon against him. Its like an amusement park that is still keeping the rides running even after its turned into a ghost town.

I love these events, but the activity it receives will slowly dwindle until the Marionette will just be some mysterious thing that new players will always wonder about but never be able to actually experience because no one shows up to participate.

Maybe they should consider having events that actually scale as originally advertised instead of requiring an almost fully packed map. As it is becoming ghost town except during peak hours on high active population servers is inevitable. Why waste time and coin trying when you know you are not even going to get half the minimum number of people?

The marionette requires too many people.

It’s fun, but it requires a full zone to complete.

For this reason, it was dead on medium servers in less than a week (except for prime time).

Permanant boss content needs to be complete able by a smaller (say 30) number of players or it, too, will die.

It’s already dead don’t make it a zombie.

I vote bring it back for an encore at Queens Jubilee, but not forever.

I would love this event to be permanent, assuming they can figure out scaling properly.

I’ve added playing with my wife over 1000% because of this event. Keep it as permanent. If you need, tweak a little, it’s failing now waaay too often, but the average succeed should be 1/3 or 1/4.

Seriously people? This encounter is nothing more than “press 1 to win”. A lot of mobs, few champions (no bags), then finally one minute fight with the only one demanding champion, and most people fail. Never again, please. Even legends in Mad King labyrinth were better than this.

Completed this a few times. I don’t rememeber having any one minute fight at the end.

2:30 time to kill the champ in the center + regulator. Plus some champions had some inmunity to ALL damage at a point, wich requires more than pressing 1 and that’s why some people fails. Unless you know how to specifically disable their invulnerability, the odds of failing are high.

Anyway….. i started this thread the first days and i guess i will make a last comment in the last day. 27 marionettes killed, 48 server wipes, still was fun. I hope we can get her back someday.
