Is it just me, or is it a little odd that in the week after ArenaNet anounced a nerf to berserker damage, the boss that comes out is pretty much a dps race? Not saying I dislike the boss, quite the opposite. I really like it. But I’m glad I don’t use a tank build for my ele. Especially the fight in the circles, is very hard for bunkers as it requires a substantial amount of dps, but the same goes for the champions that run to the gates. At some point cc simply stops working so if you didn’t dps it down by then, you’d better have enough dps for the last bit.

Just some food for thought…what am I seeing wrong in this picture? And mind you, my issue is not with the boss fight itself…it’s awesome.

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

It could just be about timing. I’m sure they’ve been working on the mechanics for the fight for months. Well before they started thinking about what to do with Beserkers and the new stat changes.

Is it just me or is it a little odd that people still misunderstand how DPS builds are actually going to be affected by them adopting Ferocity? They are not nerfing crit damage into the ground, that is an extremist misconception.

Well, the Giant Wurms are immune to crits and the “prepwork” for the three wurms that you need to do before you can damage them require little to no DPS at all. Which doesn’t really promote berserker. But the marionette definitely does.

balls to the wall DPS still helps in clearing out the mass of adds.

If ANet wants us to stop zerker zerging they need to give a way to predictably lure adds out of the way of the main boss mechanics, so that others can get that stuff done.

Right now the boss fights are explosions in paint factories, with little to no way for us players to take any proper control.

Husks in the Wurm event are nearly impervious to direct damage. Conditions are promoted here.

I can’t understand why everyone find the circles hard. I’ve never seen the one I’m in fail and have been doing it as a pure power no crit spec necro with minions.
