I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone mention this yet, but those red circles during the Twisted Marionette battle are so much clearer! Thanks for making those better to see. I can see some of the criticism regarding Liadri, did not fall on deaf ears. Please do this with more large boss battles. Completely filled in red circles are way better than those subtle red outlines that we’re used to.

I believe the reason those circles look different is because they’re signalling an attack that you actually can’t dodge, so you need to get out of the circle entirely before it hits.

Hopefully it’s something we see more of in other places for “undodgable” attacks.

Yeah they are a really nice improvement.

It especially makes a huge difference for Death Should Necros like me(in DS most of the time).

The little red circles are hard to see in my green-and-black-tinged world of darkness. But the new ones fix everything!

When I get that feeling I want… spectral healing.

They should replace all red circles with these.

When I saw these I thought they might of changed the look of all red circles. I was disappointed to find out this wasn’t the case. make it so!

Last time I played, I dodged the attack just fine…

I like this new design too. Not sure if I’d like it EVERYWHERE, but it’s definitely much more clearer and helpful when indicating the attacks of big bosses. (It could actually serve as an indicator to players that “This is an attack that will one-shot you”, as opposed to “This is an attack that hurts, but if you’re tough/tanky enough, you can shrug it off.”

please add these new circles (and their white equivalents) to player skills. you want GW2 combat to be clearer, that’s the first step.

i don’t think anyone minds that. i’ve seen games borrowing from GW2’s ideas, i don’t see why they can’t borrow some stuff back.

Yea this is great and awesome. I love it. I think the colorblind gamers really appreciate it, if they still play and haven’t quit by now from all the abuse.

The problem with Liadri for me wasn’t the circles, but that blasted ceiling. Camera was jammed in my back all the time as Charr, could never see.

con confirm 2 things:
- these can be dodged
- they are harder to dodge. could just be the delay of dodge giving you evade, but you pretty much have to be in the middle or end of your dodge to evade these red attacks.

Praise me, cause I suggested this like a half a year ago, that they should improve this by the inspiration of Wildstar ^^

I only hope now, that they build up now also onto this improved telegraphing of attacks and update all the rest of the game with it too as a next step.
I see this features now beign used with the Marionette now just only as a “Field Test” to see, how people are reacting on them and if the community likes it and responses very positively about them, or if most people don’t like it out of whatever for reasons….

But from me Anet simply gets a big thumbs up b^_^d for this and this is for me personally just the proof, that our suggestions get really read here by the devs

These orange circles could potentially destroy the artistic integrity of the industry. But I’m sure you have no idea what I mean, and probably don’t care either… Anyone who laments the state of music devolving from things like Pink Floyd to Skrillex, then you know what I mean.

Go play Wildstar if you want that. I for one desperately hope that Anet doesn’t sink so low as to literally steal another MMO’s combat system, and shoe horn it in to GW2.

I’d like the option to use these circles in place of the existing system, the existing rings are often incredibly difficult to spot on a lot of surfaces/fights for me because I’m colourblind. Oddly enough red-green colourblindness means a faint red circle on brown/green surfaces surrounded by awful bloom and other particle effects does not mix well. The more options for colourblindness the better.

The movement effect that was added to the circles doesn’t help as much as I’d like sometimes it makes it harder to spot the the exact edge of the circle.

Sink so low? You have no idea how incestuous the entire industry is.

Good ideas propagate. That’s actually one of the strengths of the industry.

I really do hope they add these new telegraphs to the rest of the game in place of the old ones and hopefully add some to fights that need telegraphs but don’t have any at all currently. As someone who has spent most of their time playing a thief, unless I am familiar with the content it is insanely difficult to play because I cannot see well enough to dodge. Sometimes the enemies animation doesn’t even represent where it will hit me either, meaning I have to get slaughtered over and over until I finally learn it. This makes new content torture for me. This new update has been a breath of fresh air because I can take the skills I learned from playing the other areas of the game and apply it to these new fights instead of having to fail over and over until I finally know every single little move I have to make. Also, for eles and engis it is very hard to pay attention to the animations of your foes or thin little rings when trying to manage CDs and a ton of skills so it’s a huge help there too.

I love these new telegraphs. Best thing to happen to GW2 since SAB.

I’m only here because sometimes I just like to watch things burn.
