Primodus comming
Its clearly the revival of Abbadon, God of secrets and once imprisoned in the realm of madness. Kormir didn’t destroy him, she simply became a vessel for him to escape. She was too blind to see this trickery. There’s a reason the Gods left, internal turmoil after Abbadon released Dhuum and helped Menzies take back the fissure.
Why else would there be a potential fractal about him if not to show he was never destroyed?
I happened to notice for the first time that the creatures coming out of the portals in Queensdale happen to have 6 eyes (not the Aatxe which also happen to be allies of Abbadon iirc)

There was a communication from anet years ago (after the Nightfall expansion of gw1) that Abaddon was terminally dead. The exact message has been reposted somewhere in this forum recently. As for the quote, was the pun intended? It made me smile.

There was a message from an ANet developer that they don’t make grindy games and that as soon as a character hits level 80, they should have access to the best gear in the game like everyone else.
TLDR: Things change.
sigh…

Kormir gained Abaddon’s power, not his “soul” to say it in some way. She isn’t a vessel of Abaddon she’s the new God of secrets, just so everyone gets it straight ABADDON IS DEAD.
But props for the blind part, even if it wasn’t meant as a joke.

The Abaddon fractal wasn’t about the moment we killed him, it was way before that when the Gods imprisoned him, so there’s no possible way that it would had shown us his revival.

That’s a demon from the Underworld, not a Margonite. Margonites are associated with Abaddon, demons/shades/aataxes are with Dhuum.

Simply because I will always hope for the return of Abaddon….

I thought she was referenced as the Goddess of Truth, which yes I conceded would just be revealing the secrets. I’d be interested to see when Anet posted that he was dead. Assuming it was before the Scarlet arc, it could easily be retcon’d, movies and comics do it all the time.
But props for the blind part, even if it wasn’t meant as a joke.
It was a joke which I thought was highly amusing as I wrote it. Glad others did too

Who’s to say that we wouldn’t see some plan of his for getting released? The Lich and Shiro were both parts of his plans towards creating Nightfall (or maybe just failed plans to escape…). What if everything including him being “defeated” was known to him and he planned appropriately. If the powerful psychic Xavier can come back from being vaporized, I’m sure the God of secrets, and the god that blessed humans with magic, could too due to planning ahead…waaay ahead.

I forget the mission/area, but the demons from the UW (and Dhuum himself) were allied with the margonites, and it’s been shown that the more influenced by Abaddon one gets, the more they change(see Varesh), did the demons in gw1 have 6 eyes?
Oh don’t get me wrong I would also like the return of Abaddon (but specially that of the Margonites, those guys were amazing), but we can’t live in the past he’s already dead, it’s been years since he was defeated everyone (NPCs) pretty much doesn’t cares about him anymore (only place where you start hearing about him is in the Personal Story in Orr I think).
Yeah sorry she’s the Goddess of Truth, forgot to place her real title back there. In this interview Jeff Grub said the he would had like to revive Abaddon, but as we know everything is subject to change so one day we might see him back, but as of now he’s dead, dead dead dead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGJvedNjZI0
Hmm I don’t think it would matter much if he had a plan for getting released now that he is dead, I’m afraid that even if Xavier is a kitten he can’t be applied in here xD Buuuut who knows, they might had placed some sort of cinematic showing Abaddon placing a part of himself somewhere, gaining power with time allowing him to revive.
Do you mean this mission? http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Gate_of_Pain (Emissary of Dhuum), I can’t see the 6 eyes on the demons.

There’s been no connection made so far between Dhuum and shades & Aatxes. Dhuum commanded dryders, riders and skeletons in GW1, but not Aatxes, which were just referred to as “demonic guardians” of the Labyrinth.

Aight thought everything that was placed in there was with Dhuum, thanks https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/lore/lore/Dhuum-Mad-King-and-Underworld/first#post3075891
Also it seems that the Realm of Torment and Underworld are connected, there’s a lot more lore that I need to Google http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bone_Pits
