So my theory has been that Scarlet, with all her brainpower, weapons and armies could start a war against a dragon. Now, it wasn’t making much sence before, because of the sheer madness she seemed to be. But now with this patch it seems to make more and more sence.

So, Scarlet: the mad genius but in the end protector of the whole of Tyria ?

I sincerely hope not.

Then why try to kill everyone?

The killing and all is to test her army and weapons. Ofcourse that shouldnt be done on people , but again she’s mad too.

Have you seen crazy religious zealots? Its all for a good cause.

I seriously hope they don’t try to keep her as a “good girl” or try to reform.
Just let her end with some form of dignity by trying to kill whatever Eldritch horror that haunts her, ultimately failing at her job.

Perhaps she saw an attack on LA coming and wants to protect it for some dark reason.

How about this instead: Scarlet as a DEAD guy/girl/plant. She’s a symbol for everything that’s wrong with this “living story”.

I don’t get how they could get it so right with Guild Wars Beyond and then screw up so hard in GW2.

Maybe different teams are the reason, only Anet knows for sure.

New to game as of 2 months but I think you are on to it. Sometimes to save a thing, you must destroy a thing.

I don’t see how destroying everything they promised will save GW2 though.

This would be a fantastic solution. I, as one of the hero’s working to save Tyria, would be thrilled to find out that nothing I did since I helped defeat Zhaitan was actually my own doing, since we have all been manipulated.

I also think that it would be an amazingly well thought out twist to have the true hero of the story be a Sylvari NPC that was actually the focus of everything instead of the playe-
