The heads still run all the way out on their own, except now they just become invulnerable to damage.

There is nothing the players can do to prevent this. We just had a run fail because Cobalt decided to go on a stroll and stayed invulnerable for 30 seconds.

Wouldn’t it make sense to just fix their pathing instead of making the fight even more RNG dependent?

Keep everyone between the wurm and the wall. You won’t have that problem.

We did. Wurm still runs out.

Woah this is what they did to ‘fix’ this?

I am very very VERY dissapoint.

Hopefully this is just a quick band-aid for now and they have a fuller fix in the works.

We (TTS et al) just had Cobalt again make a run for the water, noone was over in that direction, everyone was behind him. Boom, invulnerable. If they wanted to “fix” this issue, why not simply restrict it’s pathing to within the event circle? Very disappointed in this band aid “fix”. Kudoes to Attuned for having the luck to not have this happen.

How far away was your raid when you stacked? I’ve noticed that Wurm will not use Chomp if the raid is too far (900+), where it’ll sit there Flopping. If a creature or a player was in the wrong spot, and close enough, it would favor them instead.

It might even target pets and clones. If this is the case, I think it should only target players.

I believe that this may just be the start of the process of fixing the issues with the wurm. The gm on Deso the other day said that they were working on a way to prevent the wurm from leaving the combat area.

That said, we probably would have got 2 kills last night, if Crimson and Amber hadn’t gone invulnerable for a short time.

What causes the Invulnerability? Is it him moving far from where he pops up?

It seems like a temp fix so I’m not surprised and I hope there’s a more permament solution soon since this phase is RNG-ridden enough already.

Cobalt’s a lot hard to keep inside the arena since he can just bound into the water straight from the wall to make himself Invul. I don’t even remember the scaling bug triggering there.

On TTS’s last 2 kills Cobalt went into the water near the east keg spawn and became invulnerable and then leashed back, taking a good amount of time off our burning. If it had not been for that we would have killed it AT LEAST once tonight.

Here is video for proof:

Looks like it gains Determined if it goes anywhere near the boundaries of the event area. Do all the Wurms gain it together, or just the Wurm that goes near the edge?

I’m not entirely sure. It on Crimson he went invulnerable at the edge of the event circle on the north-east wall. Amber was stuck on a tree, I think, but I wasn’t with Amber.

I’m not going to look at the videos just yet, I’ll be taking your word for it:

Only thing I can suggest for getting the kill currently is to make it absolutely clear to people that they HAVE to stack on the commander, and if you’re worried you’re getting too close to the edge, stack between it and the middle of the arena. That doesn’t fix the problems that can come from it targeting pets, embers and whatever else, but it reduces the risk.
I’m in mixed emotion about this invulnerability, it is good that they are preventing people from exploiting the scaling to get the kill and easy loot… but they could have temp fixed it better (increase the event area – they don’t scale down if taken out of the arenas – and make the wurms able to swim? Add a small “ledge” that the wurm can’t cross just before the water at Cobalt?)

You guys were kind of all over the place and there were people who were on the other side of the wurm. This is assuming the videos posted by someone else is from your runs. The wurm then targeted one of them and did its dash. Stick to the SE part by the wall.

Has it ever run out for us? 6 kills and counting, and all I hear from other people is that our kills aren’t official for some reason.
