Guess I’ll have to be the one to clarify what is going on with this pact thats been brought up.

Yes, I was offered a deal by Hybrid on Monday (I think, maybe Sunday) in which we’d stay out of each others Borderlands. There were a few reasons I had to reject this;

1. I don’t control Fissure of Woe’s World v World forces like some people seem to have got into their heads. (I probably chat to more Vabbi Commanders than Fissure ones.)

2. The segment of Fissure World v World I do have some influence over were planning on focusing down Blacktide in order to steal some ratings, this much I made clear to Hybrid.

3. The fact that whilst making said pact offer 2 members of Hybrids last known Guild were spotted dying to the guards at Champion’s demense.

Obviously none of that mattered anyway in the end.

Way too much “political” talks going on. BT can work with vabbi they don’t care one way or the other… they know they will “win” the matchup. Lets just have fun primetime and beat the crap out of each other. Vabbi visitors can night cap no one cares its always a huge discussion on altering points during off hours… NA complain about oceanic and pacific island presence all the time too.

Also you have the same numbers as BT ^^ You get queues on border, that is unheard of on vabbi And we never said we was good, it’s 8 people capturing at night 2-3 people could defend towers vs that but last night 1 brave FoW guy was around, he has lots of respect from me, meanwhile 2/3 FoW are on the forums moaning rather then playing But yeah it’s only game just chill out sound like your about to have a heart attack

Also just to say I have no alliance with BT so i’m not creating excuses for the alliance thing, although it seems pretty loose considering BT and vabbi take each others stuff But yeah I think this BT vabbi thing isn’t as big as people are making it out to be, then again what do I know :P I’m just a lazy commander ^^

Yeah, I get that. You’d be better off looking for Blacktide that early since they generally get on a couple of hours before us.

That said I only see a couple of you running around at the moment so thats about right.

Ahh but you see both of these numbers are true :P Yesterday LNA had a 5 man group, which is big for us. One of us decided to try SM where the 5 of us got both gates down with 1 ram on each one, at which point we called out in teamchat for people to come and help with lord. So really 5 of us did it but 8 people died to the FoW zerg

Guys I seriously don’t know why your moaning, we’ve done this before and honored the pact before it was broken, in a few weeks vabbi will be back to getting kicked in let people enjoy it, some people have been waiting months to get there completion and now they have a chance to get it
Also when you guys had this kind of success you posted on the forums too, oh and you came to our border and took our stuff too, breaking the alliance we had ^^

I am glad for the people to get their WvW completion done, since I’ve got mine, a few weeks ago as well. You didn’t see me and others make threads and comments like “Jesus christ we’re getting out completion, thank God and Allah and all the other Gods”.

Also thanks for pointing out the obvious, that this’ a game. But how you handle this whole situation, is what’s the problem. Not the fact that this’ a game. Which I enjoy, nevertheless, in WvW and PvE alike. So brag more, and post more absurd comments.

It seems you can “feel” or “see” my emotion over the internet, where ya hiding that genie lamp? You should rather read what the person is saying rather than how they’re saying it.

It’s just common sense if we, FoW and Vabbi, should team-up together to fight the third world coming into the equation. Seeing as we’re in this tier for months. Neither has one of us, gotten very close to defeating the other world. But anyhow, not like there will be anything like that anytime soon.

P.s – Like I said in my second post, I know exactly how you feel when you’ve gotten WvW completion, and I’m happy for them. But just the fact, that there’s a group in the night capping most of the borders, just doesn’t seem… (Someone else, or yourself can fill in that gap) Like one guy said in this thread – I guess they like hard doors, knocking it hard? And your “friends”, teaming up against us – which we aren’t even the dominating server.

Alliance Against Blacktide

As far as I know that guild is still there.

The leader of it is a Vabbi Commander, everyone else left :p

I have not been on guild wars of late ( due to a number of things that I had and some that I still have to do ) but when I do come back I will try to return to FoW, alot of people will not remember me but hi to those who do it may take me some time but I shall return …eventually!!!

Y’know I really do hate them. The time they kept me downed when I was alone in the JP in our own borders was the last straw so now I attack them on sight. That veteran giant grub outside their keep in EB… I’ve christened it Psychotic. Oddly enough I suspect the rest of FoW are actually half-decent people we could work with – but never Jd.

Whilst it’s true we do have enough people to get stuff done, most of them are on the karma train just taking stuff with no intention of defending it, in essence not that useful. And orange swords does not prove anything. At peak Vabbi probably has about 50 people scattered across all 4 of the maps (just a guess), and they quickly disappear when it comes to actually defending our objectives, whereas FOW has apparently had a queue to their borders on several occasions (that’s at least 100 people in WvW for you just to throw some numbers out). You could put 4 sets of orange swords up on one map with those numbers! So really, I think it’s FOW who doesn’t realise just how many people they have. Their population at peak seems a lot closer to BT’s than it does to Vabbi’s, I’ve seen some unholy FOW zergs recently. No matter which way you look at it we’re still have the lowest WvW pop in Europe, possibly the world.

And @ all the rage about truces and betrayal and backstabbing, who cares. One person on either server saying there’s a truce does not mean there is a truce. No one person can represent an entire server so it’s all irrelevant.

Look at the overall score, getting pretty close between FOW and Vabbi aye guys?!

Really depends, we tend to snowball quite a few people on the commander tag and very little elsewhere, then if the commander moves to another BL then the one they were just in will become deserted. It’d normally start in our BL cause that’s where people normally gather so there’s normally a bigger group there but they tend to appear when Vabbi’s doing well and like you said “take a break” when things aren’t going our way. And then there’s a few small groups doing their own thing but they’re few and far between, and we’re talking small small.

Very similar to us, though we have more presence in other maps at times too. When we cap our BL everyone moves to EB or something. Before we’ve capped the last thing people will be asking in map chat ‘where next?’. Then they attack Stonemist and BT comes…

The group I took a screenshot of had a fair few players I’d assume were new to WvW, which is good. I hope they stay when things aren’t looking so peachy.

I did that once when a Vabbi came flying past me in JP. Few minutes later I found another Vabbi there and suspected it was him. If that was you instead of the cheater I apologize because I usually kill you guys quickly (if I attack at all).

I had a thought. Morale on Vabbi is high at the moment yes? I hope it stays high after the people leave (I assume?). Why? For a long time FoW has had no competion. We can never beat the green server, but at the same time Vabbi was never a threat. Now we have competion after so long, and it’s going to take some adjusting too. Changing how you think takes time.

Having barely fought Vabbi it’s like having a new server to fight imo. As of right now Vabbi is stronger than us due in part to the night capping, but I saw a 35~ man zerg on EB earlier too. I hope FoW rises to the challenge and Vabbi stays around this strength and we can finally have an exciting matches, even if it’s just FoW vs Vabbi for second. Or fighting who ever is green in a loose ‘alliance’.

8/9 people I think and even with this high morale we still can’t match your numbers but we shall see hopefully we can attract more people in to wvw ^^

Morale is on and off, during the day we are still getting roflstomped due to numbers, but as it gets later in Europe numbers even out and we do better (and yeah the nightcapping is a big part of Vabbi’s points). There’s 10 that I’m aware of at the moment, 4 from [Deth] and 6 from [FoF], both of which are on later so that has a big part to play. They are from larger servers however so are better with large group fights so we’ve generally been better this week than we have in the past. When they go I have no doubt that our groups will be smaller but we will have at least learnt some things. I really hope that Vabbi keeps up momentum, as well as FOW, we’ve both been gaining rating the past few weeks so it’s a good time for all of us. I view FOW more as a rival server than a server to be allianced with, though it is logical to give the green server a hard time rather than irritate each other. We’re in a funny position where our average WvW players are unusually good on their own compared to the players on the larger servers, at least that’s how I see it. Anyway good luck to us, FOW, BT and whoever has the privilege of playing us next week.

You had some pretty nice sized zergs today at various times in the day, but of course we’re still bigger. There was some guild events today in WvW for us I think. So numbers might be a bit wonky. I think it would be fun if we had similar sized groups (multiple groups so I can enjoy smaller scale.) on at the same time. Imagine that, with a close score. That’s really the only reason I would transfer, for the excitement of a close week.

I suppose we’ll have to see how things turn out in the end, I’m hopeful. I might come to your BL and have my kitten handed to me and have some fun with people I’ve never seen before.

Edit: Yeah, I didn’t mean a true alliance, but as you say, give the greenie a harder time. We had a commander join us from RoS not long ago, he had a real impact. Commanders are actually trying some basic battle tactics instead of just being a blob with no focus. I hope the momentum keeps going for both of us.

I’m pretty active on WvW, and I had no idea that we had any kind of pact at any time (I’m on FoW, btw). Everyone likes to talk about how Vabbi and FoW don’t have any numbers; that’s certainly true, but isn’t organisation another reason we’re both in the bottom tier? I mean, if there was a pact, it might have been nice to know about it… Do the guild leaders ever talk to each other?

It was announced on the forums, which is how I found out. I think it was also announced in team chat, but I have a terrible memory. I agree about the organisation, on FoW anyway. There’s some under the hood though.

I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for that meddling Charr. There was no one from any server on EB, so I thought why not. I probably would have made a mess of the Lord fight though, and taken too long. I had a pretty long fight with an ele and a lowbie mesmer, in which I should have focused the lowbie since it made fighting the ele annoying. I disconnected which was annoying. :/

After I took a peek at how big the Vabbi night group was, from the safety of a cliff.

Well in about 8 hours we repeat the weekly ritual of finding out which high pop server we go up against for another week and whether or not one of us will side with them. I’m happy to repeat last week where we went up the west side of their BL and FoW went up the east side. They might be concentrating on EB if they’ve been up against a server that wouldn’t let them get the kite in OS.

On the subject of acheivements, I still have a mesmer parked at the Aetherblades JP in Gendarran so if any Vabs still need that we can head over from LA during reset (I’m assuming it’s still active – it was last night). Spread the word and we might even convince a few pve’ers to follow us into wvw afterwards.

Counting down the hours for the next matchup.. FoW, Vabbi and ….???
Nevertheless, have some great fun, and hopefully I’ll catch you later this evening in war/duel..
