So anyone else noticed things like KB, hilt bash, or counter attack are not working.. or am I just lucky.

We weren’t in a group or anything, just a few other people who happened to be in the same area. I have literally never seen worse play in the entire time I have been playing this game.

The last time I saw something like this, I was a fairly fresh lvl 50 paladin still running in the zerg. The premier gank group of the time, CKD, bombed said zerg, killing more than 100 of the people around me. When they finally died, I was stunned. While I waited for mana regen to rez, I asked my group (who had all died asides from me), how the hell could so many people die to so few? No one said a word. That was a bit over 10 years ago.

That was what watching these people die felt like.

While I sincerely doubt you have ever killed 5-6x your numbers open field with random ungrouped people you’ve never met before, that is besides the point. It wasn’t our skill that won, it was theirs that lost. Like I said, in 10 years of DAoC, and 11 months of GW2, I can only come up with one other memory of such bad play.

Because Kzar and his zerg were a challenge ? Besides, I congratulate you and you get all defensive ? Sounds to me like you were part of the 20 that got rolled by 4.

I guess you would have had to be there to understand. This was on a different level, and I’ve wiped quite a few zergs.

Was never big on screenshots. Plenty of things I was more proud of will never have any proof besides my memory. Like I said, I didn’t post that to brag. I didn’t do anything impressive that fight. I was just blown away by the insane lack of skill. We didn’t win because we played amazingly. We won because the AR zerg played ungodly bad.

The only one who lived in my group. Was plenty of people alive besides me heh. An oldschool DAoC zerg would be enough to fill a GW2 map to capacity.

Each time it happened I was fighting a melee type of thief, could be something im not aware of or something else that got broken from the last patch I dont know.

But other fights against warriors and even mesmers they all worked no problem.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Twenty AR in a zerg sounds high but maybe it was reset night or something. We usually only have 8 or so when we take keeps but I’m in the Eastern Time Zone.

Well, let me tell you guys a tale of how 4 ungrouped people can beat 20+. I honestly don’t remember which map it was because most of the time I don’t know. However, it was the borderland where DR is in the SW corner.

So I was roaming around as usual, and I roll up to the SWT which was owned by FC and see some siege up and a Siegerazer. With my awesome map awareness, I figure someone is doing a breakout and I should just steer clear. However, upon closer inspection, it was not quite what I thought.

It turned out it was five or so AR building the siege, but the Siegerazer actually belonged to DR but had, for whatever reason, been abandoned and left to stand in front of the tower alone. After seeing this, I, and another DR or two, killed them and started to leave.

As we were leaving, in rolls quite a decent zerg. My first reaction is to run, but they don’t seem to care about us at all. The zerg mostly ignores us and starts trying to build siege and kill Siegerazer. Now, as you might know, Siegerazer is a pretty tough guy. It ends up with about a third of the zerg downed, another third trying to mass rez, and the remaining still trying to kill him.

During this time, we DR were of course keeping ourselves busy. I was rez bombing every time my cds were up, and the others were doing what their classes were best at. A handful of times some of the 80s would try to kill us, but they either died or quickly gave up and went back to rezzing.

Eventually, the damage outpaced their rezzing (especially after they started trying to mass hard rez), and their numbers dwindled, and eventually they were all dead.

During this fight, I had very little pressure on me. I was pretty much left to DPS freely. I said repeatedly that I didn’t do anything impressive in this fight, and that was true. We didn’t win because the four of us happened to be GW2 gods. We won because that commander led zerg tried to facetank Siegerazer while four people bombed them over and over and over.

I roam from SE – SW and back, with detours when appropriate, and had been on a run for 15+ minutes by the time this happened. But yes, I am terrible at keeping track of where my spawn is. I have given up far too many kills by running past the DR spawn or trying to run into someone else’s.

By 4v20ing Drez probably means he zapped in, aoe channeled his bleed, and then mist formed out. Meanwhile the other 3 picked up the heavy lifting for someone clinging onto a 6 month old build.

And Drez actually is an insult to refer to you as the original Drez left 1 month after release, and you ebay’d the leftovers.

You should have quit with the rest of OG after they nerfed the l2play confusion damage you and your group hid behind and mysteriously broke up after Anet kicked the crutch out from under your feet. You are only embarrasing yourself now.

Actually I’m clinging to an 11 month old build. I’m seriously outdated.

This match up is actually good. I barely see any outmanned buffs on every battlegrounds. It’s a good chance to teach everyone on how to do the proper zerg and from what I’ve experience YES! it is getting there especially when DR join our TS – EB channel since they usually don’t get on TS but when they do, We can do a lot more than Defending and FYI – WE DID. Hoping to see more DR get on TS – EB channel or wherever.

sadly enough his tale is mostly accurate. the numbers are slightly off on our side we probably had maybe 10-12 but they all had a wild hair to kill siegerazer instead of trying to get into the tower (we wiped the group doing the breakout prior to these guys showing up, that bit was pretty fun). sometimes folks get distracted by the silliest of things… like big champ npcs that they’re not going to kill (and is responsible for 99% of our wipe not these guys though they did annoy us by spiking our remaining rezzers keeping us from moving when it became apparent that that objective was going to be impossible in present company) despite being told repeatedly that they’re not going to kill it and to come build these rams and take this tower :S

OK, this is just too funny. Thx to Janx, we now know what REALLY happened. The story melts down to “we ganked some noobs who were messing with Siegerazer” vs. the story the OP wanted us to believe of how “bad AR is”.

I’m going to be laughing about this for a while. What a lame story, and to get caught at it! ROFL!!!!

I’m sure it looked differently from the other side though, you don’t see how the champ destroys your team from the other side (been there done that) especially when they’re all unaware & trying to cap him like a normal claiming lord.

it was pretty embarrassing tbh not one of my finer moments (& I debated claiming it) but you win some you lose some; that was not a good night for meh.

this match i haven’t played a whole lot, and the solo/skirmish fights I had pretty much won them all…. EXCEPT not long after reset I was playing my warrior and came across a DR condi-necro somewhere near the SW tower in… I think our own BL. That kitten necro owned my face off harder than I have ever been owned. Before I died I did /cry /sit and he let me live. True I didn’t have a ranged weapon or the right skills equipped for the fight but still my build can usually make 10 players chase me across the entire map, but this little kitten necro….. holy jebsus you rocked my world.

Let’s face it, down here in T7/8, there are going to be a high percentage of new players who are just trying to figure WvW out. Coming onto the forum and spouting off about “you bad”, blah blah blah just looks ridiculous. There are some really good players on each server, and LOTS of new players, so there will be a huge variation in what everyone experiences. Chest thumping in T8 about “you bad” is, yeah, just being a kittenhead.

I see things have changed for Fergs.
