Just want to say hats off to mag for very very effective ppt play during your off-hours. During oceanic/SEA prime I don’t see too many of you guys but the ppt is always healthy, and your guys are always on point with the ninjas. I’m not sure if it’s because our guys during those hours tend to tunnel vision SoS for the fights (has been my experience so far) but the consistency is impressive.

(Especially for a server that insists the hardest out of all that they don’t care about ppt!)

No, there are no solo roamers for TC. I have solo roamed for hours 3 different nights, nothing, not one solo roamer. You run in groups of 2 or more. I tried to find some solo people in JP but even that had people running in groups, glad you see you all paid attention to the buddy system in elementary school. SoS even teamed up with TC to form a truce to kill me in JP.

No, there are no solo roamers for TC. I have solo roamed for hours 3 different nights, nothing, not one solo roamer. You run in groups of 2 or more. See that’s funny cause i solo roam pretty often, not necessarily every night though. Guess you have bad luck- i’m sure being a kitten about your circumstances will improve them.

I have yet to see any solo roamers from TC either, and I’ve put in plenty of hours looking for those fights I love. I’ve honestly just given up on solo roaming now that we are in gold league. It is kitten ed near impossible to find handleable numbers and actually handle them before help comes. Even when I do come across another solo, it’s not even an enjoyable fight. I think the only person I’ve really lost to this matchup was a p/p perplexity thief running bountiful theft, and while I lost, it isn’t what I would consider a good fight, and certainly not one I’d want to repeat.

TC probably just has so many people that our roamers end up running into each other loads, lol. What’s a roamer going to do? Tell the other guy to leave?

Thank you for not sweeping in TC BL, West Keep. I was able to do a mesmer thing and portal my guildies in. <3 y’all for that. Even though we didn’t take, I did a mesmer thing and proud of me for that. Might want to sweep next time.

I think they just have so many players right now it looks like they’re grouped up. I’ve come across a few roamers but like others said if the fight lasts longer than 20 seconds 5-10 players will show up, that’s just gold league I guess nothing to get upset about.

And it’s also Fairweather Galore. If you want to truly judge TC’s population and roaming frequency (though seriously why do you generalise servers anyway wut) I suggest doing it when we’re against a T1 server.

Its less PPT play and more objective play. 3 people could show up to water camp on SoS while we upgrade hills, and we’ll bring 6 to defend it.

Speaking of SoS BL by far the most fun I’ve had all week! We broke into garrison and COULD have taken it, if our *cough*miliatia*cough* hadent straight up rushed into the lords room and not moved. You dont have to call them scrubs mag, I gave them a good chewing out myself.

(oh and we apparently ended up taking it at some point after I left… I’m talking about the failed attempt on water gate.)

It’s not PPT play. It’s sheer boredom and achievement hunting play. All four maps had queues for us again tonight…and until PYRO showed up, there was nothing for them to do in the motherland for anybody begging for WXP. Doing anything on our BL as a small group like that is like dropping a steak in a tank full of piranhas.

Anyways, fun fights on Mag BL tonight, though I was afk half the time doing work and watching hockey. Good to see INC and co working hard to clean up the mess my zerg and CERNs guild run made during the day hours. Sorry the NA time golem rush on Bay proved abortive. You had the misfortune of starting to building those things at wurm gate the very moment a second guild group finally got all its people through the MagBL queue and they rushed in to help us out.

Uh…and to the guys that got portal bombed by my Omega Golem in North Camp…I simply thought the emotes I was getting suggested you needed to see more silly things.

Why not generalize? I’ve fought enough servers to be able to get a feel for general roaming ability, as have plenty others. Some servers just don’t tend to foster that kind of play, and TC seems to be one of those. There’s a reason no one except people from TC are saying TC has roamers.

I’ve run into a few of what I thought were solo roamers. I bounced on a GF warrior and downed him, but then his 2 perma stealth thief buddies heart seeker heroed my zele to death before I could finish him.

Pro guild right there.

Then another signet regen warrior got destroyed and kept spamming me with tells until I gave him a rematch. He led me into a group of perma stealth thieves.

Pro server right there.

Pro roamers should make video montages of stomping 1v1s, partying enemies and chasing 1v1s. Makes their chest thumping legit!

Or an alternative is to enter a random PvP room and get a 1v1 with people who like 1v1s! May save you the hours of agony of roaming alone and finding nobody!

Not usually one to call names but asudem came along and gave him a real 1v1 and he bailed as fast as he could after taking 60% of his health in a single hit.
Am I allowed to generalize an entire server based on this thief’s trash build?

when ive tried to solo roam, this is the literally the only thing that happens,

see a lone guy, he runs when i approach, until 3 more come and the guy turns on me, then proceeds to chase me across the entire map for about 10 minutes.

I’m not generalizing a server off one player. I’m generalizing it off quite a few hours of roaming and many, many players. Like Caffynated said, when it comes to TC, if you even see someone who looks like they’re alone and wants to fight, they’ll bail/call guildies to help. I’ve run into a handful of guilds that looked like roaming guilds, but as soon as I got one of them alone and they started to get spanked, the cavalry came flying in.

Or how about when you try to find these supposed solo roamers that mag is made 100% up of, and end up finding nothing but guild groups who chase you half way across the map for a single kill.

Been getting 20v1’d all night on Mag BL. When I turn to flee, I notice the green dots I saw on my minimap have all waypointed when they saw a battle taking place. Good ol’ fairweathers. Grats TC. You have quite a challenge presented to you.

You missed the fun on SoS BL then. See the above posts about 3way fights at ruins, and even 3 way fights outside of the garrison, and a lesser extent in hills.

I dunno if I ever ran into you, but I definitely and intentionally do this for my guild…I imagine others do so too. It’s how I troll. The point is to frustrate you guys, just like you annoy us when you pick somebody distracted off when we’re doing our group thing and proceed to emote all over the corpse. =P

I scout. I don’t roam. And I don’t honestly mind if people wanna try and gank me while I do it. They should be, to help their server and keep me from finding targets. But just expect that sometimes, you’re gonna pay the price for it. I usually won’t even attempt to fight, just run. shrug Call me a skilless hack then, if you want, but I got my lootbag. Maybe it was me you caught once, but I must’ve been on a victory high from winning a zerg fight if I actually, seriously, looked like I wanted to fight….either that or I knew the train was due any second. My usual roamer reaction is avoid like hell, but sometimes, I do break discipline (and usually regret it).

Honestly, some of us play WvW because yes, we just aren’t the sort of player who has solid reactions, uses overlays and fancy crap, dual boxes and has multi button mouses. I like the strategy aspect of it and breaking down the siege of a keep when I’m tagged, and I like getting to kill lots of people when I’m guild running. I came into this MMO because of some friends, but my gaming history is RTS and turn based strat heavy, as opposed to shooter and fighting gamers out there. I don’t remember how many seconds this skill takes to fire or whatever conditions that skill lays down. I just remember “push button to live” and “push button to kill”

Mag definitely has good roamers though…at least as far as I can tell, since I find more Maggies can have a great go at bursting me down solo than there are T1 sorts, which usually need fully parties to get me down. It’s very interesting to fight the Mag groups because there’s all this counter periphery, some of which are just roamers filtering in from nearby and trying to pick off anybody floating about the fringes like me that makes it almost a cat and mouse game.

But I honestly always expect to die if a roamer catches me straight up out in the open alone and I celebrate when I don’t. I’m not speccd to roam at all, after all, on top of my finding no delight in it and it happens now and then when I scout…I don’t mind. Part of the game for me, really. Maybe it looked like I wanted to fight…but no, it’s rarely ever the sort of thing I will do without back up.

Anyways, that’s just a personal view on what you might be experiencing when looking for “solo” roamers and finding poor quality ones. Some of us just happened to be alone at whatever moment you see us…but we’re not actually roaming. in fact, sometimes, I’m intentionally baiting.

Before he could come up with any reasonable ideas, pet bear was interrupted by seven stupid bears that were lured by his blue armor. pet bear turned red; ‘Not again’, he thought. Feeling angered, he deftly reached for his ninja star and recklessly groped every last one of them. Apparently this was an adequate deterrent—the discouraged critters began to scurry back toward the foxy forest, squealing with discontent. He exhaled with relief. That’s when he heard the feet rolling up. It was Justdonny.

TC is a good community, but I do have to agree their roaming etiquette, if we are going to pretend their is such a thing, sucks. In these sorts of lopsided matches the players on the losing servers really only have three options: Blob in the one blob we can muster, roam, or don’t play.

Sorry if TC players are bored with the matchup or queue stuck on the one map they could get into with no action, but you’ve known for a long time that TC is in a weird spot of being roughly double any lower ranked server and about 2/3 of a T1 server. Yet, it still seems you have guilds transferring in for god knows what reason…

It would be great for one of the T1 servers to conveniently blow up again. Two months of this will not be much fun.

Not to forget that we have the maps queued for most of the day. Thats a lot of people around the place, its hard not to run into people. I know that I’ve accidentally stepped into duals a few times this week. I did watch a dual tonight until a warrior jumped in, and I soundly helped stomp him into the dirt. Personally I’m not a roamer, and I’m far from good at it. On the other hand I like running with a few guild mates and fighting other groups of similar size, which is a lot more common than finding roamers. Sorry mag, that includes you.

During NA primetime it is rare to see solo roamers. Most of the time I roam solo during Oceanic/SEA times. Still solo roaming against any t1 server is worst. Their is 50% chance of fighting someone or a zerg at the nearby camps from spawn. Still JQ and SoR roamers/havoc squads tend to suck in comparison to BG roamer/havoc groups.

The one with the riffle? That’s the only TC solo Roamer I’ve seen. I liked him cause I’m an asura engineer. Also TC when you see someone is in a 2v1 and already finished one guy why you gotta bring 5 more in??? I can’t 6v1 yet!!!! But I’ll 3v1 anytime. Also TC after you engage in said 6v1 don’t call 7 more TC to chase the poor guy (in this case me) from north most ruins to south camp. it’s a pretty inefficient use of your time especially she over half of you are getting downed from the bombs I keep putting on the ground.

CNB 5 man roam squad and 30 man army had fun group fights so far in the matchup! Good fights on SoS BL today Ark+Inc sorry we had to retreat TC wanted to get sipped at our garrisons gates 24/7 and some of us wanted their loots. Sad I didn’t see AoN today I always love telling our people if you aren’t close enough in a ball AoN will eat your tail… And they do <3 those guys. CERN sorry nightlight hasn’t been on much (except Sunday morning) you guys are so much more of a challenge when he’s at the helm. And I’m curious who RoT is cause they weren’t on TC when I was there but there’s a lot of them are they like ex Pink? Did Jadon leave or are there a lot less Pink in WvW? Also I wanna fight EP come to SoS BL… Please …. CNB got stuck with garrison duty this week.

Our most recent transfer is GF. Pretty sure the most recent guild before that was… FLOT? WAR? WvW (who are now on JQ)? From a few months ago? We’ve lost more guilds to T1 than we’ve gained, actually. :/

And you ask why they transfer in, you said so yourself, we have a good community ;p buuut you’re free to ask them yourselves~

Yeah, think about what advertising power we have. We cannot guarantee a win in the Gold League, we don’t have bundles of gold to give out to people. We’re just like any ranked 4-6 servers. Why would they want to come to our server?

Who cares? Go spvp or play in T8. The lack of solo roamers isn’t indicative of anything, not that there is a lack anyway.
