You guys are Taking Tarkus’s post out of context. When he says we lost alot of “dead weight” we had 400 members before we moved to JQ, many not serious bout wvw, not sure if they knew the tactics, read the forums etc.

Theres obviously still a great deal of MERC who did know thier stuff and stay on BG which we respect to this day 100%

We are not a 400 member guild no more. The dead weight is gone, we know who knows what now, if that makes sense

so please stick that in your notes guys

Fun fights in the ruins last night anyone who was there.

Also a PSA to thieves: maybe if you actually risked something you’d get kills. You’ll never win a fight if you backstab for 3k because you’re 30 into the vitality line. Thief is the only class with a high risk / high reward payout and I know that 98% of D/P thieves are wussies. MAN UP!

If you’re talking about how you guys lost your bay last night, I don’t have any regrets. BG golem rushed SoR hills in that map 3 times within 30 minutes, while JQ was hitting north hills. JQ would hit our north hills, and BG would hit south or lake tower. SoR was getting double teamed hard, however we did what was appropriate and defended in a smart manner. Eventually JQ got bored and hit BG, so we had had time for revenge. IIRC what screwed BG over was the fact that they took all the supply for the golems in their bay to 2v1 SoR…oh how that backfired on them. The irony….

No supply inside Bay was used to build those golems. And BG was attacking SoR Hills on JQ bl while wearing the outmanned buff with the intent to pull one of SoRs two main float forces onto the map.

What screwed BG over was JQ finally realizing BG was enormously outnumbered on the map and taking advantage of it.

Good fight yesterday at SOR BL – was fun getting all the bags, especially when we caught “BG” hiding at the vista area at sor hills, right after we (JQ) snagged Hills from SOR!

Not really, if you looked at the score history of this week, BG tends to tick the lowest during oceanic zone most of the time.

Personally i only play within EU prime and despite what many will claim to be night capping iv seen anything but it all 3 servers have a strong presence the only pve door i encountered was taking hills from BG on SOR bl but JQ [Foo] rushed in behind us and ninja capped it lol

Later JQ had a tier 3 bay locked up like Fort Knox tried a few times to enter and got knocked back by the huge defence effort on the objective lot’s of diversionary tactics also with random tower, garry tagging to lure us away from the real target etc thankfully we had scouts on some of those objectives.

Despite what goes on outside of my EU prime this is a pretty tight matchup in my opinion the outcome is not set in stone everything seems to change at a moments notice thank you everyone for making it so. EU gold league table will be a 1 server blow out with SFR the No 1 stacked server now also actively recruiting NA guilds and players to supplement it’s strong Russian night capping team to not just win but dominate. Now since the majority of EU servers only have a single prime time unlike NA those players joining will be the true definition of night capper’s and pve door specialists who will encounter little more than a few scouts and a small rag tag of pugs.

I think most MMO players think if their server is losing it is because they are either out-manned or getting 2v1. If they lose 1v1, it is because their class is under-powered or the other needs nerfing. No way they would ever lose an even match-up.

It was a good fight, have to admit. Even being double teamed by both SoR and JQ, we still held out. Those SoR numbers though, omg how do you guys even move around with that amount in your groups, you must lag just running to get there nevermind when you’re inside.

The fight lasted ages, it was so intense that some of us were dying randomly up to 20 minutes after you’d all left the Garrison. People were just dropping like flies out in the open, we all thought there was a hacker under the ground killing us but it was just the server catching up. I think the lord also just dropped dead at one stage and had to be bannered, 15 minutes after Garrison was cleared.

Some forum warriors are easily confused and struggle to understand anything except the normal trolling. Trying new material can be misunderstood as talking rubbish to the uneducated.

I was running with people in team speak last week, person calls out that a “zerg” was inc, the zerg was 5 people, we had six. I dunno maybe people get nervous and forget to count or something.

Great fights so far guys! HzH has had a blast fighting…. LUN/FEAR/Choo/HL/HeL/OnS/PLX/ and ICOA. Sorry for other guilds I may be missing! Keep the fights coming.

This week is just amazing as far as how balanced and intense it’s been.

It sucks on one hand, because a random scrub roamer like me finds it harder to be useful amidst all these hard fought battles.

That said, it’s amazing to sign in at any time of the day or night and to be able to find intense fights within a few minutes.

It’s awesome that the score is so close too.

All this complaining about Blobbing from all servers is kinda getting stupid ( yes even i complain from time to time im not denying that) Every server blobs from time to time, its the way Anet have made the game, and the only way to beat it is blob back.

But this is the closest I can remember the match-up being in ages, cant for 1 week we just stop with all the kittening and play the game?
I suppose this is probably to much to ask but worth a try xD

That’s simply not true. Tarkus has previously criticised the quality of the MERC members – particularly the Commanders – that stayed. He did so in conversations with me about why he left. These conversations were due to our shared history long before he joined MERC.

I’m glad to know that JQ ticking for over 300 for hours isn’t “boring for all parties”. The fact is that Tarkus and Ralikh showed poor knowledge of the T1 meta and poor judgement in moving.

Neither Shakira’s hips nor the PPT lie – no matter how much apologists post otherwise.

Yesterday SOR had full pressure on JQ stacking them back to their spawn on EB until a random group of BG tried to ninja Stonemist so we all had to run back to save it thus allowing JQ to regroup.
