WvW Missed Connections.

You were a condi-clone-spam-super-stealth-look-at-me-I-can-portal mesmer from XPK. I was a GET-OVER-HERE-zoom-zoom-boots perplexity engie. We fought for 20 minutes from bravost to durios to SM back to durios back to SM to ogres to red keep. Best fight I’ve had in ages. Trying to lock you down was tough as hell.

Oh my gosh… Hey, I’m the APeX raid leader and I just want to clarify a few things.

There is no real reason to argue over numbers in the open field. The point of the open field is to have engagements with what you’ve got. If you have more, then more power to you; if you have less, then you better be ready to run or buckle down and fight hard. With the level at which APeX and RET both run, there really is no real reason to argue over who had more or less. The difference is marginal at best, being only a 2 or 3 member split more times than not. Obviously, that makes it harder on the smaller force, but nobody is keeping score in open field engagements and we’re all just looking to have fun, so let’s just fight and have a good time with it.
The night I made the post, we had a few engagements where we would hit RET alone and FEAR would swoop in and train through us with about 30 extra people. Because of this, I made a bitter comment in a public forum that I only regret because of the way it was taken. I understand that if FEAR did it of their own accord, then that’s that; RET has no control over what people do outside of their guild and I understand that.
I have since spoken with a couple members of RET, one in particular being Thundercat (I believe?), and we had nothing but nice words shared. I think that behind this whole debacle, we have a mutual respect for one another. I believe that our engagements, when we see one another in the field, and we both halt up and ready ourselves, exemplifies this point well.

At some point RET and APeX will have a GvG, but it will not be to settle any scores. It will happen because we know we both bring each other a challenge and it would allow us to hone our individual skill sets and have some really good fights. I have nothing bad to say about RET, and I hope the same can be said about us. I consider anyone who can effectively run a good composition with small-medium numbers an ally in the push for an overall better game experience for GW2.

Pugs flock to guild groups, particularly the really good ones. We also tell them to rally on the pins but there weren’t any so they milled about in SM and some tried to follow us.

Don’t see why I should have to be adorable to people whom openly BS and troll on forums making broad assumptions about whom I am and what guild I play for without even reading the facts. Pretty sure I actually had fairly little negative to say/was being positive in my initial posts. It isn’t my fault they can’t admit they openly pull militia to them when you run raid and they have acceptance issues due to pride/ego what have you. Even that in itself is funny because it probably means the people of the server place value in they’re guild and that is something you should be actually proud of. Instead they are so worried about it they made an “official” guild PR post to defend they’re guild and brought the rest of they’re cronies to troll. Who are the real dense people here?

At the end of the day I play WvW/roam for fun and sPvP. Your hang ups and assumptions based on that I actually care about all of the above stated is just hilarious to me as well as the lengths people go to just to make themselves look cool/competitive in a gamemode that has no competitive impact or relevance at all. The question you should be asking yourselves is why would I lie/make up a situation defending a guild that I have no affiliation with nor am in for the sake of a gamemode where all I prefer is roaming around having fun? If you honestly think I’m that choked up over a competition for a dolyak finisher and garbage rewards you are probably the biggest fools of them all (FYI I destroyed my golden finisher LOL :P).

Just counted, anywhere from 38-45 SoR, and around 33 of your guys, a few are dead as well, not to mention any others that already respawned. All in all, SoR maybe had 4-8 more people than you in that fight. In a spontaneous open field engagement, that is about as even as it gets.

Just want to give a big shout out to every one involved with the 3 way battle in SM last night during the start of Oceanic. There was much fun and epic battles moving up and down through SM. Things were lovely until nasty JQ went and ninjaed our tier 3 Aldons while SoR took SM off us.

That’s such a lame accusation. Is that all you guys throw out? “We’re just countering your blob”. Why don’t you be a man for once in your WvW career and maybe own up to your blobceanic tendencies. All three servers blob equally. It’s a joke to say anything else.

The points I make are purely of my own home timezone, oceanic, which I dubbed blobceanic due to its bloated nature of it. NA is a lot more dynamic now with smallman guilds, as are SEA and EU (of course EU, they’re the father of the smallman).

But yeah, your comment is such a cop out. “We’re only blobbing around like this because you do.” And what? You continue to blob against smaller groups because of some vengence you had in the past? Gimme a break. You do it because that’s all you know. Do yourself a favour and talk about something else.

Say that to when we have to counter ND’s 60 man blob, the only way we can counter that is by asking for help. You can’t beat a group that runs ~15-20 Necro’s with 20-25 ppl yourself. Especially when they just stack and wait for you to push.

I don’t know. That’s just how I like seeing things. You get the best fights that way. Tonight we had some good fights vs LAW and AT when we fought them solo and even some of fighting them together.

From my experience, most SoR guilds have been running tagless since the later half of Season 1.

He should create new account by the name ’’Slowpoke’’
