Yeah dont expect much 1v1 with german servers; they have a completely different play style compared to others.

I was having a 1v1 vs a DL thief south of bay, it seemed to be going ok (i.e. not 10v1), then when I got the thief in a downed state all of a sudden the cannons and a treb started firing at me and a warrior ran out of bay. I killed the thief, and then killed the warrior :P

But yeah, dont expect fair and equal fights from german servers, they just want the points, they dont care 20 of them killed one of you, a stomp is an extra point.

There are people on german servers who want 1v1s, but even they cannot stop their zerg from butting in. I mean I’ve even had a 1v1 where the guy was actually just keeping me there whilst his friends had time to come and finish me, thats how low they can get.

No one wants to make 1vs1 because 80% of Surmia are FOTM warriors x’D

And all of Drakkar are cowardly stealth Thiefs

Also Millers attempted to take our bay and failed, then Drakkar turned up and helped Millers. Drakkar could have easily have wiped Millers but let them have bay and left. Was some of the most cowardly and kittenish stuff I have ever seen in GW2 xD

Sorry for hijacking this thread but i take it you haven’t faced 2 german servers a lot of times.
Whenever we have faced 2 german servers they go all out against each other.
Also with few exceptions people from german servers have a really nice attitude at the forums.

There will never be any 2v1 when drakkar and miller are involved. our servers have one of the strongest rivalry between servers.

but it’s nice to see, that the RoS whining team is still active, they were missed in our last thread.

We must not have played the same match ups then…

DL+Dzag against Ros ? DL ignored Dzag all day long till the middle of the week when they realized Dzag couldn’t do anything anyway, and then they farmed them for Karma (and easy PPT) because they had a far harder time against RoS.

DL+Abbadon’s Mouth against RoS ? Same, they both went out of their ways to fight us and ignore each others…. (to the point DL and AM spent over 3h both sieging our keep in EB if you recall, it’s all over that match up’s forum thread).

And now, it’s the exact same.

You can’t pretend there is no “teaming up” when you are above 60% of focusing us and really only go after each other with roamers or to get SM when the other isn’t there…..

All dual germans match ups ended up with them focusing the third server Ad Nauseam, EVEN when it’s something that hurt them in the grand scheme for future match ups.

Right now, servers should have gotten that the best way to go is to focus the leader but it’s impossible when week, after week, after week, you are faced with 2 german servers playing together and avoiding fighting each other all day, specially when bullying the third server means putting RoS third when we are ahead….

I guess it’s how WvWvW is supposed to be working, but having a 2v1 all day long, every week, against us, when the most profitable thing each match up should be to team up against the leader and put him down is pathetic, because it’s stupid and makes things worst for everyone :
- leader don’t have a fight, since they 2v1 against a weaker server, ie : less karma and loot
- second can’t do anything against the leader, and have quite a hard time fighting the third EVEN when left alone by the leader, ie : less karma and loot
- third is left up fighting uphills battles all week long, with no respite, and having to fend off the other server everytime they do something, ie : less karma and loot and xp, on top of painfully boring playtime all week.

In the end it just push more and more WvW players out the door, specially the not hardcore one, and everyone will face the consequences at some point, and start crying because it’s boring as Hell on top of not giving Karma/Xp/Loot anymore.

The “best” possible choice to make right ?

No 2v1 ? Is that a joke ?
MS spent the WHOLE night in RoS bl flipping things while avoiding the DL zerg which was doing the same, while totally avoiding DL’s dl that wasn’t defended at all (to the point a 3/4 man group managed to take 2 fortified towers there without anyone coming to defend at some point, when there was 40+ MS in RoS dl, and over 20 DL…..), and DL kept coming at RoS bl while MS’s one was virtually untouched and undefended.

Don’t make me laugh about “strong server rivality”, DL is at 55+% focus on RoS, MS above 60% RoS focus.

If that’s “rivalry”, i wonder what it means when you aren’t rivals ? 99% focus from both on the third server ?

Stop being hypocrit and admit you both go out of your way to avoid each other and bully us, be a man for once, instead of a chicken hiding behing massive zergs and 2v1 all day long…..

Nah. I played on both servers, DL and MS, and what I can say is: neither wants to help the other server in any way. It may look like ze germans team up but it might as well just be a coincidence…
I for my part can say that it was just the other way around yesterday. We tried to block MS where we could, so that they don’t reach second place (for instance blocking the bridge between hills and MS spawn while RoS was attacking it in the north).

And another thing I’d like to throw in here:
Please try not to overgeneralize everything. There are stupid, disrespectful players on every server. Even though they annoy you, do not forget that most of us (and you as well, I guess) just want to have fun playing this game and don’t even bother corpse-jumping, laughing and whatsoever…

I enjoyed this matchup so far. Sometimes there is a huge DL/MS/RoS zerg but playing with a guild (or a good public commander) you can still have lots of fun and there’s always something for you to do. Nice fights with DEX, Loot and Oo (or is it oO?)!

Because german servers arm their towers to the teeth with superior ACs and always has a couple people waiting for hours just in case an enemy shows up, they again move on. Since we dont do that often we’re the server with less resistance and so both german servers will obviously target us to get more points. But of course as you most likely have noticed now, even if they outnumber us 2-1 they prefer to move on than fight.

I keep saying, german servers are the most boring to fight/watch run away, but they are well organised which is why they have such a high tick point.

Not true.

Take last night, our Garri (and Hills, and Ogre/Pangloss/Keep in EB) were sieged to the teeth WITH people in it, and yet one after another, we had waves of MS/DL/MS again, rince and repeat grinding the supplies in it one after another, till each of those fell, with zergs of 40 to 60+ people (depending on the time), despite both having quite some objectives that were still paper…..

They are BOTH focusing us on purpose, like all German servers always do, they ALWAYS go for the non german servers first, until there is a HUGE benefit to attacking the other german server (be it fighting for a first place while they are certain the third server can’t catch up anymore, or feeling they are in dire needs of PPT to stay ahead of that third server that comes to close, and at that point sacrificing the other german server is worth it).

Otherwise, they’ll all, always play together. It’s nothing new, it happens in every match up with 2 german servers, and it’s been happening for months now.

It’s part of the game, we need to deal with that, we don’t have to deal with the hypocrisy, lies and insults they throw every 2 seconds pretending it’s not happening when they are actively pursuing it every chance they get, in every match up that happens to have 2 german servers.

At least they could have the decency to recognize that’s what they do H24.

It’s the same that when they pretend they don’t blob and complaing about other servers having 30/40 man groups…. when they run 60/80+ man groups all day long, EVERY. SINGLE. MATCHUP.

Reading the posts from the RoS forum warriors resembles a car accident: It’s horrible, but you just can’t turn away. I would almost go so far to say that I’ll miss posts like this once this forum is closed… but almost doesn’t count.

Just to let you know…
For Drakkar it is almost 50/50 attacking RoS or MS. I would not call that “focusing RoS”. And since RoS and MS are closer together (regarding points) it is only natural for MS to focus more on RoS than Drakkar in order to get to second place/defend their second place.
Not that it changes much, given how ignorant some of you seem to be =P
(It’s always easier to complain, I get that.)
