I have no idea what all the lion/AoA vs FSV/PunK stuff is about, I’m not on your server so I can’t really judge, so not gonna comment about that.

About GvG in general though; people go on far too much about what “rights” they have, and don’t talk nearly enough about respect. Respect both for you server-mates and for your enemy.

If there is no queue, or a very short queue, for a map, and a guild decides to do some GvG in an area of the map that is completely out of the way of the rest of WvW, then it is disrespectful to interrupt and ruin their fun. They aren’t hurting you, so why are you hurting them? There’s no rule saying you can’t, but it’s still disrespectful. It’s like seeing a group playing football in the park, and then going and setting up your own game right in the middle, even though there’s plenty more room in the park for you both to play. Pointless and childish.

And at the same time, if there’s a half-hour queue for a map, and a commander/guild is desperately trying to gather enough players to defend a T3 keep, then it’s disrespectful to have 40 people sat in the corner of the map refusing to help.

I know you have a right to do whatever you want in WvW, within the rules. Nobody can demand you do anything. But respect isn’t something that should be enforced by rules. It should come naturally to any decent human being.

Also, consider that FSV and PunK are two of the best fighting forces you have on FSP, just as JDGE, TDA, Dius and YaK (and others) are for Gandara. Without them, both our servers would be a long long way down in the rankings. They spend hours and hours each weak tearing apart zergs and busting open T3 keeps. Now, that doesn’t mean they have a right to boss people around and demand things. But why can you not show them a little respect when they want to take an hour out to do something different? If you make your server hostile to the guilds that make it competitive, then they’ll either stop playing or transfer. Is that what you want?

TLDR: Show some kitten respect!

That blob you talk about was TDA & XxX combined and you had pugs with you and at one point it was actually an even fight at bay or briar, can’t remember which.. I have submitted a suggestion to Youtube to be able to double thumbs down a video because just one doesn’t seem enough when it comes to your Blobstone Goobers video showing absolutely no coordination with your members scattering all over the place except for at one point at a tower on catas and I believe every scene flip you had a random amount of pugs with you.

At the end of it showing you can take down 15 people ( was there ) with 50, your just showing why there should be a double thumbs down option on youtube.. If you took our 15 on at that time and times by 2 it would of been a fair fight vs your 50-60.. You talk about growing up to nem yet you ego stroke in a poopy video displaying zero skill/coordination/proper running?? Laughable.

As we speak, we blos are a pvx guild while u xxx are a www roaming focussed guild, so what are we talking about?
We never started a flame war about losing or winning, and about the numbers we had each evening, however on this and in another forum was a nemesys idea to start whine about our blob so we responded to him…
In addition we blos, and im talking about only of the BLOS tag, are something like 30-35 max on our average www evening event, if u still don’t believe us go to our facebook page and watch our guild cover photo: with a lot of pve player we hardly reached the 50 online that evening.

Yes, we are a guild focus WvW, but we have new members (i’m a new member in this guild) and we don’t know too much, but we listen to the commander.

TAC is a PvX guild, now they do 2 times/week WvW, they don’t have members like XxX, banana and others have. They do better then cry and find reasons like others.

I don’ t know anything of Punk being against AOA. Before the GVG interruptions we didn’t had anything against lion ( at least not that i know and i am playing regular). I still don’t see the reason why spoiling the fun of another guild on your server.
I still had a good week. Kodash was to strong as expected and gandara is always nice to fight, less blobby than most other servers we face.

You are always being in WvW, means you are a WvW guild. Stop hiding behind the lie you are not, since you are ALWAYS in WvW.
U are always blobbing and you only know how to play in the middle of 40/50 or more people. Hiding behind the excuse you are not a WvW guild is only to hide your unskilled playstyle. U killed 15 ppl with 40/50 and u have done a video because u think we care a single bit?
When the day comes you can kill us with the same number or sort a like, I can care about it.
But for now continue to hide behind the excuse you are not an WvW guild, while somehow you are always in WvW.

ps: FSV and Punk continue how u are playing and just ignore all the pug/zerg/blob who dont want let u continue this way.

Considering the fact, that after several departures (for different reasons) Kodash is not exactly blessed with loads of big WvW guilds any more, we felt that loss.

Maybe it’s not such a good idea after all to try to discuss disputes like this on the official message boards…

As for the matchup – thanks to both Far Shiverpeaks and Gandara for the fun fights we had this week and good luck for the next one!

Nemesys u don’t know the meaning of pvx guild, not at all.
Pvx doesn’t mean we don’t have players on the border all day, it just imply wich on a day basis only our focused www player do www, while our pve and spvp players do what they want in their playtime. The number of our www core players is a number minor than yours roaming team.
In our monday and thursday evening www event some of ours spvp and pve guildmates join the fray with their build and playstile wich hardly fit in a www enviroment.
We never try to force our guildies to a www setup not to a setup similar to yours boring like hell “half guardian all soldier/cleric gear” we let them come with what they have.
The fact is: in our video u will ever see some scattering of players or some random positioning (we also have upscaled player on our www event :P) and this is caused by our nature, a pvx guild; but while we’re being a pvx guild, we, now and in the past, gained the hate of our enemy for our battlefield merits and this is only one of the thing wich cause our guildies to be proud of their tag.
So pls nemesys stop saying bullkitten about thing u don’t know..
The blos are a pvx guild, and a good famed one, in our server noone have a grudge against us and we are a polite community, stop to call us into this flame war, u don’t have anything to gain attacking us on forums.

There seems to be a misconception that GVGers (particularly at the borderlands windmill) “aren’t affecting the game”. Sorry, but you are. You’re taking up (say, for a 20v20) 40 slots that could otherwise be used by people who want to play WvW. If you want your own private map, buy a custom arena. If you’re too cheap to buy a custom arena, ask Arenanet to introduce a GvG mode.

They are playing WvW. It’s those 60+ people running around in a single blob that are taking away spots in WvW from real WvW players. If they want to run around farming PvE they should go to orr. GvG wouldn’t be necessary then.

See how easy it is to fling random opinions at people? Just let everybody have their fun and stop the whining. And once again, sPvP maps and the whole structure of sPvP has nothing to do with how guilds want to fight eachother. WvW maps are perfect for guilds fighting eachother, guess why they do it there?

They aren’t playing WvW though. Zerglings might be playing WvW less than optimally, but they’re at least playing WvW: taking/defend keeps, camps, towers and so on. They aren’t taking up WvW slots simply because they’re too cheap to pay for a custom arena.

If the GvG is going on when there isn’t a queue for the map in question, I have no problem at all (since the whole point of GvG is equal numbers, they won’t even be risking giving one team an ‘outmanned’ buff).

I’m pretty sure every single guild has a private sPvP server or access to one. It just doesn’t play anything like a normal GvG. Guilds fighting guilds is more in the WvW spirit than giant blobs just auto attacking gates for wxp.

The thing with GvG is some people play for fights, because that is what they like to do, and that is where they get their enjoyment and where through rivalries with other guilds they create content.

When you seriously play the point system, fighting is not really optimal. The best way to win is to have everyone blob up and just bounce around the map, with a bigger blob than everyone else.

A lot of guilds do not enjoy that playstyle.

Ganadara has a lot of fighting WvW guilds, and a lot of guilds transfered to Ganadara for that reason.

It may be annoying if your waiting in queue, or trying to play for points with GvG players on the map, but it is not up to them.

This kind of falls into arenanets court.

Don’t fault guilds for having fun playing in a way they enjoy.

And you can also be polite about it. Most of the GvG guys will come and help out if you actually ask them nicely. Say “hey we got this huge zerg at garrison tons of guys flailing around waiting to get killed, can you come help for a minute or two?”
