It’s weird though, because usually Dzag pulls ahead in the weekend and then loses points during the week. Last week Dzag was ahead by more then double our points on sunday.

I want to congrats Ring of Golems with their successful Bay recap on their own BL, I see lots of improvements, it only cost you 13 golems, yesterday you assaulted our border all day long and and wasted atleast 50 golems I think (not much of a waste since they sit at 15s each but hey o.o).

This is an even matchup you should be enjoying it not crying, you’re making your guild look like whiners much like the last time we fought you guys just look at the thread RoF vs RoS vs WSR plenty of RiOT complaints there too :P

Dear Sceinna,
you know that you get points from keeps/towers/camp not from openfield battles?
That You need to capture some keeps/towers/camp so you wont loose rating and you have smaller chance to have FoW and Vabbi?
You know that golems are now very cheap? And golems are much effective than rams?
So that is an explanation why we are using golems. I know you would rather us to come under cannon fire and just stood there, but hey, we are not your loot bags.

Tbh I just couldn’t resist joking about, I wasn’t whining. Too bad some people take it personal as always.

I just wanted to shed a light at the golem problematic we are dealing with right now and I know RoS & Dz are doing similar things since golems are dirt cheap but imo it’s not the way WvW should be played, if we don’t happen to have someone sitting in one of our keeps it’ll be gone within 5 minutes because golems cost less than a superior flame ram and they are being used at every assault now and atleast +5 of them everytime lol.

I’ma refrain from posting again since people in this matchup are always b*tthurt whenever you throw in some healthy competitive remarks and especially when it affects RiOT in any way so have fun in your dead matchup thread.

Ughm… This is like GH complaining about RoS in their matchup threats when we haven’t fought in weeks.

I agree. [Hot] is having a lot of fun so far, thanks to everyone, friend & foe ;-). And since i was leading [Hot] yesterday, special thanks to everyone whom i met on the borderlands, it was really great.

Regarding Dz weekend score, i have no idea what went wrong, but something for sure did. Anyway, see you on the field, and don’t build too many golems :P

RoF…. is the new vabbi…. for 4 minutes trying to get some ppl to defend garrison… we end up losing it with 5 ppl defending.

It’s called using numbers effectively. You chase 1 thief with 15 people while 6 people take your bay and Dzag is attacking your garrisson. We took your woodhaven with 3 people while your 30 man zerg was running past us to take a camp. You came with 15+ people to woodhaven when we tried to take it again, meanwhile dzag still had your hills.
We were outmanned in your borderlands for the past 5 hours but we still squeezed quite some points from it. Here’s a tip: split your forces, don’t dispatch 20 people to stop 3 people from capping a tower. Send 3 people to deal with them and use the other 17 to take back your hills.

Oh well, thats the good ol’ RoF problem… It was the same yesterday night: we had the numbers in our BL to kick some kitten but the people spread out all the time – that how we lost our garrison to RoS and didnt’t get it back 3 times… noone seems to listen – sad but true.

I swear RoS and DZ are like on TS together. 95% of the time you both hit keeps literally at the same time, like really? I have not seen you guys not take a keep without the other in the at another or if we’re being nightcapped.

Mainly just frustrated at RoF though, we have almost no scouts, no defenders, hard to get people on ts or to hop maps too >.<

Borderlands are meant to be 2 vs 1 you have to deal with it. Its not like we never get pushed at 2 keeps at the same time from both enemies. And im sure Dz also sometimes gets pushed from Rof and RoS at the same time. Its only natural to apply more pressure on the enemy that appears weaker when the matchup is at least a bit even.
And (this is my opinion) youre not supposed to have the keep if youre not able to defend it either by siegewars or manpower/fighting skills.

And you having no scouts may be sad for you but your server has the bigger population so you should try to organize the people you have.
You were also the ones who started with the sneak attack golem rushes this week so ofc we have a few scouts who try to watch our keeps after you took our hills once. We whiped you a few times in the lord rooms of garri and hills because we spotted you very late.
Pls dont complain about nightcapping. Your server is usually active in the night. I just remind you that from sunday to monday you ticked at 500+ points and got to the first position with your nightcapping. Its a game so deal with what happens, dont take it too serious and adapt to the situation. Wish you lots of fun even when its not looking good, thats the situation when a server gets better!

We could learn a lot from DeX, you all are great scouters, you just hide behind acs too much and RoF does that enough already too. As for the night capping I wasn’t even complaining about that, I’m used to being nightcapped all the time being one of the few Americans on RoF. It was just in my example of the only time I don’t see DZ and RoS hit at exactly the same time.

Anyways have fun and don’t kill quaggans. Cooo00oo0o0o.

Maybe RoF has the bigger population, but even when we’d bring up all ourWvW’ers, RoS would outnumber us with e.g. VcY, DeX or RIOT. WvW hasn’t improved much on RoF since GW2 start, a lot of guilds left because of that, so most of the time we seem to be a bunch of unorganized roamers. Tell me the trick to organize people – i’d use it… ^.^

You are right that our guilds are really strong, the old RoS guilds really improved, we learned a lot from our new guilds.
But i think the biggest factor is to get the whole community together. Thats how we face problems, we nearly allways can call other people to wvw or to the specific borderland.
And to call DeX ac abuser sound to me like you never attacked a german keep :P
yesterday we got into hills and they had like 10 acs on every gate (and the people to man them). DeX tries to improve, we try to focus mainly on open field battles but our scouts would not be that useful if they could not stop an easy attack with 2 rams on a keep, and for that you need siege.
Also i think like nija said everyone gets double teamed from time to time. I remember in this match up the attack on our eb-keep, both of you opened 1 outer gate at the same time so yeah. We defended it though.

I am getting sick of all those golem rushes that are happening. Since the trading post patch I am seeing tons and tons of golems everywhere. I just want to see some more strategic battles instead of just charging in with tons of golems.

VcY spent a week on RoF and during that time we got people on to the community TS. Whether that was because of our tag or whatever I don’t know. Point is get your WvW guilds on community TS and advertise it in chat.

Also guilds need to support pug commanders. Let them know that you are on the map and will support if he needs it while you do your own thing. Problem seems to me none/guild on RoF is willing to stand up and do something.

Everyone uses them and it is kind of silly to golem rush everything. we have plenty commanders which were using golems most of the time and now they are using them all the time. He is just reminding, that there are more than GOLEMS, don`t you agree?

VcY and RiOT are blobbing too much. So is blobbazor. Moar quaggans are needed everywhere. OMFG what is with all these noob thieves one hitting me fight fair noobs. RoF has some of the worst 1v1ers I’ve ever seen as well.

yeah every1 use them… i also do… i did also before, if they are 20s or 1g i dont care when i wanne use 10 golems i use 10 golems…

most of the time our nightCrapping team uses superior rams, like 3 or 4 at 1 gate, but you should know that…

sorry to the Dz mesmer who wanted to 1v1 me at their camp on RoF bl… I couldn’t get a party and wasn’t going to 1v1 a clone shattering build without being in a party to allow me to place a target (I am not that much of a noob)… and knowing my luck you would attack me in the middle of changing my build around. I tried to take it under water where we would have been evenly placed but you seemed not to like water – even after most of my skills were on recharge after killing the RoF party crasher.
So I used the camp npcs to defeat you. Still you were buffed to hell with food etc. and I was not prepared to buff up when I was about to log off for work.

Good fighting with you though… not sure but I think you are probably the same mesmer who beat me behind the windmill yesterday… once again I couldn’t get a party so was not able to target you (anet need to fix that)…

good luck and sorry for using the npc like that… I was not going to defeat you 1v1 on land without a party. Next time engage me underwater though… it will be fun

Sure, if the map oriented channels were muted to all but commanders and designated scouts. As things stand right now on the RoF community chat we have nothing but a bunch of background noise, music and some idiot player with pre-recorded messages.

I’ll go there for reset night, but the rest of the time I can’t be bothered. I’m not going to put up with that much background noise in my chill out gaming time.

Nope, and that shows you exactly how much interest I have in that process. I actually get more from the commander with simple and short instructions, and I reply with simple and short scouting reports.

Our guild doesn’t normally run with the zerg to begin with. We don’t need more than “short and simple” communications.

Dear RoFers,
today I was commanding on our bl. Not for the first time,not for the last time. I get some people to TS to designated channel. And guess what? It was perfect.
Guys on TS spoked only when they had something to say. No background noise.
I hope guys on TS were satisfied with my lead. Yeah we wipe Dzag a few times. Even bigger groups. RoFers actually listened to me, stacked when I said, run when I said, used skills when I said. And we were just one perfect group(ok who put those fire fields when I said static?).
So Herr der Friedhoefe, not going to TS you actually harm RoF.

And to those players today on TS. Almost every week day at 7pm Uk time you can find me there again. We can repeat what we did today. Thanks guys you were great.

And i know the first gvg can be very frustrating, we had our first last week against [Hot] and got totally beaten. We failed to even down a single of these [Hot] guys (pun intended, badum tss).
I think you did good for your first(?) try of gvg keep going and never give up

That Bay Defense was fun. It took you guys ages to attack. But props RoF for splitting up in guild groups and trying to coordinate your attacks to flack us. We lost alot of players who logged of on the second push and couldn’t defend it.

That was a hell of a fight! You guys were locked in there for over an hour or so
Our italian guilds did a great job moving as one and kicking some serious kittens then^^
Even better was DZ an hour later or so – see screen 2 (for those not into german: these are flame rams(!!))

Lol, that’s hysterical.
I was defending our borderland all night, with 4 players, vs 20+ ros.

ROF Bl, where you failed to cap anything but already broken bay and woodhaven (3rd time lucky I guess). My highlight, 2 defenders in dawns with 1 ac 1 cannon and you guys ran off. You went to go hit garrison south east gate, where 4 defenders made you run off, thanks to our fast wping from Dawns. All this preceeded by a garri watergate attempt, where 1 balista stopped the 25 in their tracks, destroying 3 superior rams 1 balista and making you run with tail between legs back to EB.

ROS Fail attempts in our BL, 2 hills, 3 dawns (4 if you include the oh look 2 defenders run past moment), 2 woodhaven, 3 garrison all vs 4 people. So yeh you beat back 1 half hearted attempt, well done.

Even more impressive is your screenshot, nice, the +555, those missing points, yeh that was rof borderland and a few camps for DZ. Congrats on the fail +695.

Am I supposed to end this sort of post with: “Thanks for the loot” ?
