31/5 - EB - BP - AR
They were T3 with Yaks and Mag before the randomness. They have an extremely weak NA population – even less numbers than CD ever had in NA – but the nighttime pop of a much larger server. United,Korea is still there for SEA time zone. One of the most coordinated guilds eBay has ever faced with the added bonus that they play in our weakest time zone. This is going to be a long week. It might come down to who goes to bed last.
BP, looking good in your SBI match! Love that Azr is #2 too. Shows how out of whack the rankings really were before random.
I would love for BP and EBay to face a T2 together. We could pull a Borliss Rock imitation and give them everything they could handle…

Actually, right now Kaineng is ranked as a bottom T4 server. Right under us.
O’rly now? The mighty have certainly tumbled then…
Quick, hamstring their other leg! >=D
I take back what I said. Millenium said they were 12 and we were 11 last night before bed, but after waking up it’s now saying they are 9. =A=
Why you do dis Millenium? Play with my heart so.
Millenium right now is completely untrustworthy with the new matching system relying on probability as far as I know. Good for little more than keeping the scores… Which that alone it isn’t very good at, since it only updates every 3-4 hours.

Yeah, it’s too soon for another wvw match with ebay, but I could live with it because I do like the gvg with y’all.

So your saying get comfy in T5.
there are no more tiers. just likely matchups, and unlikely ones.
and ratings, of course. and rankings. those are still there, and still desirable for the bragging rights.

welp. Looks like ALS will be moving outta AR sometime soon. Bah.
To the Ebay crew, can I get your honest opinion of the Dragonband NA crew.
Thanks.
are the [ALS] who are already on Dragonbrand just scouting then? we’ve seen them on DB already (EB is playing DB and SoS this week).

nope, they’re there to stay. those are the one’s who’ve already moved over.

That’s our advance group. Some folks couldn’t wait and head over early.
Not sure what you want to hear. They’ve got good guilds and bad guilds like any other server. There’s a ton of people on at all times and plenty of opportunities for sieging and open-field fighting, but next to no opportunities to roam.
Try not to soil them too much. From what I’ve seen so far, they aren’t too fond of forum warriors and even less so of their own.
Enjoy your stay.

The first thing I did on transferring was pug along with a few packs of roamers, following different ones as I encountered them on the field.

[ALS] Anvil’s Last Stand Guild Leader
Those upper tier servers only know how to zerg. There is very little skill in them.
Should stay where u are and create a good wvw server IMHO
Thanks.
Just trying to get a feel for the mess I’ll be getting myself into if I head over there. As both Ebay has faced AR and DB i figured you guys could give an honest opinion of what DB has to offer in terms of a WvW environment.
So far from what I’ve heard from several sources, is the same, zergy blobby tactics with no skilled group/guild to speak of.
bleh.
Thanks.

Maybe you should of all swapped to a EU server, lol
Well K, I’m not going to try and persuade you because its your decision in the end but, from what I have seen its not just zergy blobby tactics. Its organized and they all appear to work together, something AR was severly lacking. I’ve been there one night and had the most fun in GW2 I have had in months. It would be great to see you transfer but I have been in your shoes (when TCMM left) so I get where your coming from.
Dragonbrand:
Just like any other server their pugs zerg. Eternal is the same crappy mess it is everywhere else. The only things to note are the NA guilds (rB, BP, FIRE, and tg…I think). They have split up in their guild groups before and attempted multi-guild coordinated strikes. Unfortunately it was not very coordinated and they showed no regards to our forces movements. Needless to say, they accomplished all of nothing that day (Monday). So in terms of inter guild coordination, it is very lackluster from what I have seen.
Roaming is not extinct but the fights are few and far in-between. Most players will run on sight if they do not either outnumber their foe or have at least a 30 man zerg behind their backs.
Coverage wise you will enjoy having one of the strongest Oceanic presences currently available. There just is no competition for it until T1.
sounds like I gots my work cut out of me.. I'll have to whip them into shape.Dragonbrand:

No you won’t because of 2 reasons.
1. They have ego’s and won’t listen to you
2. They always have the zerg to fall back on thus won’t learn
Ebay has repeatedly kitten d the DB zergs w/out problems. The only problems that arise are:
1. The numbers just don’t stop and eventually overwhelm you….
2. You’re bags become full and you have to stop to sell……
That’s DB’s tactics on beating Ebay’s skill groups
Grim, don’t take the advice of people that use terms like “skill group” to describe themselves, who brag about loot bags in a game that awards those to all sides of the fight, and who use the word “zerg” every single time they die with more than one opponent standing next to them as their screen goes grey.
Observer bias is a leading cause of misunderstandings.
Talk to your friends in ALS, if you want to know the truth.
