Ehmry Bay, I came here to say good job (not sarcastically). You’re truly playing how you should play to move up a tier. If some Ehmry are not sure what I’m talking about, it’s the capturing of the keeps in your spawn side of enemy borderlands and holding it. That’s how you WvW if you’re the big server and how you do well. Before, all you did was zerg us in your prime time but this is different and I say good job. Keep up the good work guys.

I’m not sure if you’re aware but Kalkz does not live in NA time zone. He’s an oceanic and he can’t help knocking on your empty towers because that’s what WvW is when he wakes up until he goes to sleep.

To say ebay is only winning due to numbers is a lie. Ebay has some of the most skilled roamers in this game.

Uhh, sorry, but no. You win because you can raise armies for three maps all at the same time that are as large or larger than what we can raise for one map. Skilled roamers don’t take towers and keeps, and they don’t carry enough supply for siege.
Sorry, but we all have skilled players, but that doesn’t necessarily win WvW like it does PvP.

EB wins because they know there is such a thing as a seige merchant. BP considers seige merchants are similar to Santa Claus and the tooth fairy…all make believe.

EB also dominates in supply wars…including yaks. They also believe in defending and responding to attacks. Call out that a tower is under attack in BP and you likely will get the response …“don’t worry, we will take it back later” ..the karma/xp train ftw !

So yea, likely EB has a bigger WvW population (would be fairly equal if the BP fair weathers returned from PvE), and is better in the open field. That’s not the main reason they win. See ^^^above.

all your points just prove my point. ebay has more people. you can say you have more skilled people, but there’s no way to prove that quantitatively. having more people means you will have more skilled people due to the law of averages, which are in effect for all servers except for proclaimed pve servers. having more people means, yes, you’ll have more organized crowds. you’re stating the obvious with a slant to it in a manner that seems like a slight.

again, the truth/fact/proof is that you win due to the numbers being imbalanced in wvw. there’s no “likely” to it.

the only way you could prove that your quality of players is better would be if there was auto-balance on the servers that kept populations equal. there isn’t such a feature in place, so you can’t claim to have more skilled players based on a 1 to 1 comparison. it’s not possible to make that judgement.

a guy did a study months ago about how wvw turnout population has a direct result on scoring outcomes, and he was trying to devise a better scoring system to help landslides from occurring (i dont necessarily support the proposed system).

you can deny it if you like, but the truth, again, is that population is the reason anyone wins at wvw repeatedly. there will be the few skirmishes where the difference in population do not match the obvious outcome. however, those are few and far between, and usually have a logical reason (yes, strategy, too many uplevels, placement, positioning etc) as to the opposite occurring.

if you’re on the receiving end of much larger zergs on a regular basis it becomes clearly evident. the proof is in the pudding.

First, you over estimate your importance to your servers victory. Second, you are the smallest of the big fish servers; not sure why you think that’s so amazing, but whatever fills the hole inside I guess. Finally, I’d like to just say that you have completely erased the respect I had for your guild. They should be ashamed to have someone like you associated with their name, it only cheapens the brand. While I’ve met a few respectable Rekz players, the fact that someone like you is allowed in with them is enough.

Win all you want, you will never earn our admiration or respect.

I think BP has been in third place more than it has been in second, or first place combined. At least you’re consistent.

The facts are that BP and AR are well placed in this tier based on their populations and WvW tactics. I don’t think either server has illusions of climbing the ranks any time soon.

EB is the interloper. They are obviously in a different weight class. Yet here you are grouped in the same tier as a bunch of “bads”. There are 12 servers ranked higher than you and 11 ranked lower. You are a middle of the pack server. Yes Glicko is a little slow in reacting but it is the same for all servers. You’re like a varsity player that can’t cut it among his peers so drops down to the JV team and wtfpwns everyone. Then flexes and talks smack.

Go hard for 2-3 weeks, raise your score, and move up a tier. The sad thing is, EB has some fantastic players and good guys that are great to talk to and shoot the breeze with. All it takes is a few meathead internet warriors to ruin a servers reputation ….as you so often remark about BP.

I shouldn’t have to mention it by this point, but please don’t hold the [CHAR] trolls against AR. There’s not much we can do short of ignoring them and hoping they don’t get riled up. AR seemed to keep it pretty civil last week for the most part, leaving BP and Ebay to wage the forum wars.

That being said. I’ve been noticing a very unsportsmanlike trend coming from [Rekz]. Careful you don’t go the way of [PAXA]. You are a skilled group, but the trash talking is making it hard to like you guys. Its becoming as predictable and annoying as the select few trolls BP has been plagued with lately.

Its easy to get big headed when your server is up, but its far more satisfying for the ones you trash talked to see you fail after treating them so poorly.

You will gain respect by being gracious in defeat, but gain even more by being gracious in victory.
