If you watch their video and pause at 0:53 and start counting the dots, you’ll realize that they didn’t have anywhere near 2 to 1 odds let alone 3 to 1. They might have had more, but it really is not by much considering several bg posters stated they had 30 themselves. (That 30 might be a under/over exaggeration as well)

You can’t count the dots because it’s a giant blob of it all on top of each other.

At about 1:00 when he turns around and you get a good look at the amount of bodies, there is about 40 people close to him, about 10 on his tail. When he turns around to push into the enemy, there is about 20 MERCS and 10 on their tail.

1.5-2 : 1 is fairly accurate.

There is nothing wrong with winning with superior numbers, WvW is all about exploiting the odds into your favour. However bragging about it on the forums is one of the saddest things you’ll ever see in WvW.

The dedication of almost round the clock objective holds plus the spearhead of your Oceanic along with the shifting of some of your key Asian WvW commanders into EU time GMT+8 12am is very smart strategy.

Even without the Kaineng transfers you’ll probably hit No.1 this week, and with them I think BG certainly will be the top server in time to come if you can maintain the coverage and tenacity.

SOR is having a “just relax and have fun week”…. however, we will still be playing the kingmakers role, so i suggest BG and JQ keep their forum warriors in check.

What surprised me last night than anything else Fannwong last night was that all of SoR was centralised on SoR bl, and content to fight 30 guys (who stayed on that map for the very reason that even if we were overwhelmed in terms of numbers, that if you stay on one map we can take the rest of SoR’s ground with the other oceanics who log in). This is not trolling, but I’ve always been curious why SoR runs a full map float in oceanic, because we stopped doing that a while ago for the reasons that is hurting your current ppt.

That is that once you zerg a map to oblivion, you leave all of the rest of your assests completely undefended and often without defensive seige, and if we hit garrison when you are on another map, you can’t do it in halves as it seems to be an all-or nothing tactic.

A SoR commander who used to be on SoS with us PM’ed me last night to ask if I was commanding when the who lake thing happened, and their response is that they weren’t in it for the ppt, which is at odds with a lot of the NA staying up late (I often see a lot of TW and Choo hanging around in the OCX/HIRE blob, and yes I understand they are not technically the full force, just nightowls).

A lot of respect for some of the guys in SoR (a little less for one certain commander who I butted heads with when I was on SoR previously), but I can’t see how you think the fights are fun if you are literally sitting in a massive blob all the time and not achieving a whole lot. Regardless, we’ll you guys on the field.

The Kaineng transfers have also coincided with Waha retiring from WvW. I think this has really shaken up the SEA timezone and has made it a lot more even amongst all 3 servers.

JQ still have massive amounts of numbers and get the most PPT in SEA for now, but they’re lacking the sharp teeth that they used to have with Waha.

He is actually right, though SFR had a low PvE population which gave it it’s medium status it has an incredibly high WvW population with queues on all four borderlands similar to their competitiors who were on very high status.

So a server with a medium overall population comprised almost entirely of WvW players beat other servers with higher populations which…didn’t fight in WvW.

I’m still waiting for a relevant example…although sincere kudos to SFR for being the lone server going down in the books as the exception that proves the rule!

Numbers don’t always mean everything. We just beat off the big BG zerg on BG BL when they tried to take our tower with like 2x our numbers while out manned. They couldn’t move us for half an hour.

One thing I’ve noticed the past several weeks from any of the SF posters is they always try to impress T1 with their skillz and beg for respect. But everyone in Tier 1, friend and foe knows FOO > SF by 100 fold on JQ, both in terms of coverage, skills.

Very possible, I’m no expert in JQ guild sizes. I do know that no T1 server can claim to be better than another based on the weekly matchup scores. Give a T8 server JQ’s WvW numbers and coverage tomorrow, and that server will steamroll its way into T1 in a veritable cakewalk.

Winning individual fights in WvW can involve skill…but winning matches involves nothing more than outnumbering the other guy. It’s just numbers. Skill is irrelevant. I haven’t seen any evidence to the contrary since launch, else why do all the servers that “surge” do so ONLY after receiving some bandwag- I mean, valuable allies?

The Kaineng transfers are what gave Blackgate the extra boost that Blackgate needed to compete with JQ’s coverage.

I’m sure Blackgate can maintain or possibly do better since they tend to push harder during the later parts of the week.

These fights were fun. Running with the 30-35 BG on the map into a map cap zerg over and over and still scoring plenty of kills. After awhile me and my groupmate just started killing and stomping their bad commander every run and they’d scatter and start wiping even though they still had probably 150% of our numbers in the field.

Looking for duels tomorrow. I play west coast NA timeslot. Anybody interested whisper me. Looking to duel decent peeps, not peeps who are compensating for something by chest thumping about how great their server is.

Ahhh hire. I miss shattering those glass zergs. So many bags that I’m pretty sure garret broke one of his legs tripping over them on one particular evening. It’s kinda sad though, you can only ever best them once because they always change maps after being wiped… :,(

I know what you mean! I constantly see people from guilds who chest thump all the time and all they do is run from 1v1s against me. TW, Choo, Riot, etc. They all run. We should have another 20 minute duel neither of us can win so I can remember what its like to fight someone with skill.

I’m sorry but an Oceanic guild going to bed at 9pm AEST time means that either everyone is in primary school or they are teenagers/adults and that gave up after a few wipes.

Besides there being no request sent to our high command / GM, why would we want to waste valuable time we are using to beat Jade Quarry at the moment on fighting an inane fight with someone unable to see past his own hypocrisy?

This is done, maybe when WvW settles down you may have your little skirmish to validate yourself but until then, see you in WvW.

Why would anyone GvG a guild from SoR? The last time there was a GvG with SoR involved, SoR had a FEAR zerg come and interrupt the match and still got wiped.

I’d expect the same thing to happen again…
