Basically it’ll be an arrow-cart driven meta I think, more open field siege and objectives will be far more stable if there are players to defend it using seige. The boon hate trait for the warrior looks to have promise, and I’ll be trying to theorycraft some builds around it, however I think its just a bit gimicky. Glamor bombs will still be viable due to the AoE blind, but the nerf to confusion damage will definitely pull things back a bit.

Yes, yes, arrow carts indeed. Now when two zergs meet on the field there will be time warped arrow cart building and they’ll just start firing crap at eachother from 3500 range rather than colliding into some kind of terrible dance routine.

You have to invest too much to get boon hate for warriors, it requires 30 into discpline. Zergs should be boon stripping anyway, totally negating the benefits of boon hate. Boon hate was intended for the meta in Spvp, not for WvW. And even there is it lackluster since you have to give up something much better like leg specialist or points into Arms. If you want more damage in a wvw setting, boon hate isn’t the way to go!

So yeah gimmicky.

Im surprised a MERC player would say that, with the way MERC plays. You guys always stay mobile and often split into two groups and bait with one and flank with the other (I assumed this was a rehearsed move because I see it often). This really doesn’t stand well for immobile AC which would get rolled over real quickly when they don’t have the protection of a full zerg. Meanwhile if you were to drop this tactic, the enemy zerg backs off or attacks another location rendering any AC you built in the previous place useless. Then the AC doesn’t get destroyed and hello siege cap.

Zergs don’t even collide now; they see other, rush at each other, then pull up short and start AoEing each other across no-man’s land.

I know what you mean! I constantly see people from guilds who chest thump all the time and all they do is run from 1v1s against me. TW, Choo, Riot, etc. They all run. We should have another 20 minute duel neither of us can win so I can remember what its like to fight someone with skill.

So BG is getting 2v1’d as usual (nice seeing you all in our garrison btw, you ruined my tea time kittens). Looking forward to the coming weeks, with the patch changes and the new guilds on BG it should be more interesting and more compelling combat (except for Arrow Carts which need a nerf pronto).

The “JQ BEAST” has awakened in order to prevent BG from taking first place. Coupled with the burnout by BG due to pushing hard over the weekend into monday, this resulted in nothing less of expected results and JQ establishing a large lead by tuesday evening.

In other news, anyone want to 1v1?

Since when is 10k a large lead in t1? I seem to recall JQ being ahead by 40k at the same time last week. I know SoR has never been in the position to even be a threat to JQ so you may not understand.

Right I’m sure you guys got called over to JQ bl just to have a tea party not because WM and ICOA couldn’t handle us themselves. =P

Also the fights around that tower where way more fun that map hopping to flip which ever keep/tower has the least defenders. I’ll take enjoyable fights around one tower over focusing on the ppt any day. I will give you props thou you and WM worked pretty well together in the open field once combat actually started.

Grats on your final rest, hope that makes up for your first push into briar before clearing our arrow carts. xD

Disappointing if you liked being a defender type without being confined to a cage. That’s what it’s boiling down to… if you want to defend something you need someone there constantly now. No more ‘first responder’ type of role. The strict 30 minute siege despawn timer was nearly as poorly thought out as the “30 seconds before a warning goes up” thing.
