We’re glad to be here too. after all, DB is the best named server. Dragonbrand sounds waaaaaaaay cooler than say, for example, piken square. :P

It is a fact that my small guild transferred to DB (during the free transfer period) in large part because of the cool name.

Also, I’ll be roaming a lot so if you see an [Agg] Guardian in full T3 armor solo or with a few people during the daytime be sure to give me a wave! I’ve been trying to find small scale fights and dueling opportunities but it’s quite a bit harder when A-net engineers T2 vs T3 vs T4 server matchups -_-.

Also thanks for fighting us at Garrison today Maguuma. We were worried there wouldn’t be enough people on the other side to make it much more than pvdoor but you gave us quite the tussle earlier tonight around garrison in Mag BL. Shoutout to the SBI in EBG earlier today as well!

Stupid forum ate my long winded post. To anyone who was defending Garrison with me between noon and 6pm EST, thanks for being patient with me. After it finally flipped (15 golems later?) I seriously just had to step away from the computer for a bit after losing all that upgrade/siege gold between the garrison, camps, and surrounding towers.

To Dragonbrand, I dunno. This is the 13th time I’ve fought you since October, and I’ll just leave it at “you’ve changed a bit.” Hopefully you can find some good fights from some of us when we aren’t trying to feverishly guard supply lines, and hopefully you get the match up a realm like yours actually needs in the future.

Had some really great fights on SBI Borderlands before we pulled off about an hour ago. Props to SBI – you guys gave a very strong and sustained fights. Fun fights in and outside bay!
We then switched to DB BL for some more bay fighting insanity with Maguma. Crazy and fun night of WvW – keep it up!

Good to see Mags being classy, as usual, on this thread. Keep rocking!

Yeah, I was impressed with SBI’s turnout today. Was fun watching you guys smash DB in eternal!

I’m a little disappointed.

Sure, DB has 50,000,000 players at all times. Sure, their oceanics can fortify all four maps while we sleep. Sure, they siege creep in 50vs25 fights.

However.

We cannot change any of that, as a server. Maguuma cannot force DB to not play. We cannot forcibly disband NNK, and send all the bandwagoners to their home servers. Complaining about it will not help.

On reset night, [PYRO] had about 25-30 on most of the night, and without upgrade advantages, I feel like we did pretty well. Today, however, when people logged on and saw everything fortified, they just gave up. I’m not going to name names here, but I’m used to seeing certain guilds running general numbers. Last matchup, around this time, we could queue up two maps during our primetime relatively easily. Tonight, I feel like [PYRO]‘s 25 made up about 30-40% of Maguuma’s population at times, with [DERP] and a few others making up the rest.

Giving up just because you know we’ll lose isn’t fun for anyone. It isn’t fun for me, it isn’t fun for you, it isn’t fun for DB or SBI.

Tomorrow night, [PYRO] will be doing guild missions, and hopefully running with 40+ around 10 PM EST. I invite any and all DB guilds to try their hand at us then. If you were on at reset and saw what 25 [PYRO] could do, you’ll love to see what we can do with 50.

I played WvW literally all day (farming badges) and while we got stomped most of the time, there were some endearing moments when us Maguumans banded together and kicked kitten . Even SBI and our server had somewhat of an alliance going after DB. Shoutout to all our great Commanders on Maguuma!

Our NA presence isn’t significantly better than yours (it really shouldn’t be at all, given how many guilds you’ve had transfer lately), and 695’ing us removes any advantage our NA crew has and then some (a lot). But to answer your question, yes, a lot of people have given up already because blahblahblah. I hope we get in some good GvG this week. Please pop our ego balloon because we are undefeated in our stunning 2-0 record. Looking forward to a challenge from Agg.

Honestly I don’t no wot all the fuss is about with these match ups.I have been on maguma since pre-launch,and play the oceanic time zone.ive been steamrolled by zergs,feared off cliffs arrow carted to death and set on fire.i have fun no matter wot the situation,to me the score means nothing im in it for wot ever twisted fun I can get out of wvw.i will follow my commander bony to the bowls of a db zerg if he so wishes or drink beer and sit in someones west keep on a battleship and laugh as the enemy wonders wot the hell we r doing.yes anet has some crap to work out but at least the match ups r for only a week.so just make the most of wot u have.So stand tall and just /laugh as u get run over by a 50 man zerg.

Look dude. Guilds went to different servers because their former server did not offer them what they wanted. People migrate cities players migrate servers. They are trying to have a more enjoyable experience, in the game. If their former server was not giving them the WvW nor server community experience they wanted, it is in their best interest to move. A lot of those who moved were on the verge of just quitting the game and good guilds with good players would of crumbled. Which would of left the former server in the same bad situation, it is in.

In some cases it was a failure in the server community. That allowed toxic power hungry players to destroy them, from within. With others it was a slow decline in people in WvW that was creating match ups that was not enjoyable. I know it’s rough on the people who stayed on the server and they are angry about the constant loosing streaks.

SBI had it bad. To go from Tier 1 to a kitten SBI fest every week. It really sucks for these guys. You can be mad about it all you want. The bottom line is this, though. The fault ultimately does not lie with the guilds who moved nor the servers they moved to. They changed for the betterment of their guild. That is who they are ultimately responsible to. They have no accountability to the servers they left. A server is your city and the guild is your family. Family comes first. Don’t be mad that they made a tough decision for the good of their family.
