IOJ reminds me of a prison B. They can’t do anything on their own, they need to play in the shadow of another server. Don’t drop that soap IOJ, or you may have to prepare that A.

Here is the mentality difference of an NSP player. I know before this recent double team, this is how our group made decisions.

“Should we go into the DH or IOJ BL?” Score showed DH clearly in the lead, so our answer was, “We want to fight number 1, forget IOJ” so off to the DH BL our 5 man went, and took 2 towers and nearly the keep (Tuesday of this week I believe, the days all flow together).

Granted, when I run around solo, I don’t really care about the score, or pvdoor, or who is winning and losing. I want to kill enemies, and I don’t care who. This matchup ends tonight shortly after I get home from work, otherwise I’d get some footage and post a video up of the skill I am witnessing from DH and IOJ.

Hey, as Agrippa argued, maybe all small group and solo roamers just don’t play when I do, so I am not getting a good benchmark of quality.

Let me clear up something for some of you nsp players. Ioj never had any arrangement alliance or agreement with DH to double team on you. For the first part of the week it was common knowledge among most of the ioj commanders not to touch anything blue but after your constant poking and flipping of our stuff (for me it was on tuesday when you flipped our fully upgraded bay I really like having a wp in that keep) I decided without discussing it with the other commanders that I would be concentrating on NSP for the rest of the week and as it turned out several other ioj commanders had the same idea.

At that point ioj did not make a proposition to DH to target nsp with us. Simply of our own accord we decided to give most out attention to nsp in retaliation for flipping our stuff. Then of course you will retaliate back then we will retaliate again then so on and so on. DH attacked whoever they wanted that’s the luxury they had because of there massive lead. Did ioj take advantage of situations when we knew you were vulnerable and weakened? you be we did. It would have been stupid not to.

WvW is a 3 way fight by design it gonna be 2v1 constantly the fact the some people are complaining about it and going so far as to call it cheating is hilarious

Anyway great fight nsp some of you guys are really good had some good 1v1 and small group action wish you guys all the best for the reset.

A lot of our players from IoJ are very passionate when it comes to WvW. With how long we’ve fought DH previous to this match up and I think it is every Janthian’s dream to at least have a shot at beating DH. (Or it’s just mine, can’t really speak for everyone) So when our chances of doing this, is being taken away from us, we get a little emotional about it. I wouldn’t say though it was the actions in WvW that caused IoJ to switch their focus onto NSP. But what was posted in this thread by members of NSP. We’re tight in IoJ, I think all servers understand what this means. Now whilst not every commander see’s eye to eye, or agrees to the same strategies, we will back him/her. I personally didn’t care if NSP hit us, DH hit us or if we got doubled teamed by both of you. When I saw Nom’s post, I thought it was a bit over the top, so what if NSP did what they did, this is WvW. When I saw the responses though and the threats (one of your guys was “going to get his DH buddies to hit IoJ” or words to that effect) I thought to myself “Even though Nom’s responses were over the top (in my opinion), I think the responses he got is going to justify the whooping NSP is going to get”.

Some of you have said that you don’t care about winning, I do. If I can’t beat first place, then I’m going to make sure I come second (I apply this philosophy when I lead in WvW as well) Now, NSP’s actions jeopardised IoJ’s ability to come first (sure DH has a hand in it too, but they’re the ones we want to beat) through hitting us hard enough to make it easier for DH to suppress our points. The points gap between NSP and IoJ was down to <500 points, before we wiped your corner in EB and your BL.

Why did we do this? We don’t want to come 3rd and NSP’s actions after the forum flame session got in full swing, forced us to do what I thought was necessary and put DH so much further in front of us we weren’t going to catch them. So we ended up fighting for second, something I don’t like doing. I remember the few times I saw NSP hitting DH BL and I thought to myself “We need to get to DH BL asap so we can suppress them further as well, try and catch them. Take a shot at first” Then all this BS happens here and WvW, and I think to myself “We’re not catching DH, again, if we don’t do something quick we’re going to come 3rd and after seeing the stuff in the forums, NSP deserves this”.

Overall though, I enjoyed this week. It was challenging and interesting to fight a different server (NSP) and to see how DH was going (DH you haven’t really changed much imo)

I have 2 highlights from the week:
1. Wiping a NSP zerg that was larger than my zerg at Sunny. You guys managed to get our wall down, but we managed to wipe you at the breach. Don’t worry, I was stressing the whole time trying to work out a way to kill your trebs that you used. We couldn’t get organised quickly enough when I tried to flank your trebs, so I resolved to trying to hold you guys for as long as possible at the breach. I honestly didn’t think we would be able to hold the tower. I wish I had recorded it.
2. An NSP thief, quickly joining my party after a few IoJ had finally killed him (perma stealth, who had a buddy with him, that ran away after we killed his friend) Gloating how “While we’re camping his body, his buddy killed our ranger friend” then quickly left before we could respond. I thought that was funny as, what made it even funnier was his response after I whispered “lol” to him. “Don’t whisp me again or I’ll report you for harassment” Cracked me up even more. I mean, really? When you request to join our party, then say something like that and don’t give us a chance to appreciate what you say appropriately. Kinda says a lot about you and your guild. Still laughing about it now.

I find solace in a few facts that can’t be denied regardless of the PPT score.

#1. IOJ was the highest rated server in the matchup and performed beyond terribly. In fact the second highest rank loss out of 24 servers. In my book that is just simply pathetic. Factor in the huge Oceanic presence that faces almost no opposition and this glaring failure is even more monumental.

#2. DH Has the lowest rank gain out of any server who actually gained rank if you don’t include the match-up featuring the #1,2,3 servers all facing each other. Having superior numbers at almost any given time throughout the matchup they truthfully accomplished very little given the massive numbers advantage.

The facts don’t lie and anyone can go see for themselves. NSP is extremely outmanned and lacks any real oceanic presence….at all. For them to do as well as it did speaks volumes about DH and IoJ.

I don’t blame IoJ for desperately wanting and needing to doubleteam any server they can get to agree to do it. I mean look at that performance lol.

not sure if you realize how dumb you sound but according to how the glicko ratings work if you were to put ET in tier 1, even if they scored 10,000 points for the whole week there ratings would SKYROCKET, so imagine if you put a borderline t6 server against a t4 and a t5 server. You’d see a bit of a jump in ratings right? Also the only reason we did as well as we did was because we were playing defense the whole week while AR and SBI went back and forth getting first (first place switched 3-4 times that week, thats how close they were).

IoJ has fought DH alot longer than NSP has and we knew if we even wanted a chance at contending for first we would need the help of the other server. The constant double teaming NSP does with DH is BS. From fighting DH for a while I know for a fact they aren’t interested in anything other then easy points, hence the reason they always go straight for the server with the outmanned buff. NSP has done the same thing showing us they aren’t interested in making this a fun match up hence the reason we cap your borderlands every night. Don’t get mad at us when we retaliate. NSP isn’t a great server, sub par if you ask me. Your ratings will show that when they drop after you get matched up with servers like DR/GoM/HoD which share your WvW population/coverage

GoM has a much higher pop than us.
HoD did recently, but I think many of their players left. Could still be higher.
And DR is anyones guess. Last time I checked they were about the same except they like to team up with anyone not NSP.

NSP likes to lose by small margins.

When we got the treb up on top of the lords room I thought “Yeah we got this!” Then I saw you third treb hit our counter treb, and I was like “wtf did that come from, it wasn’t there a second ago” lol. After our failed attempts at trying to “flank” ( I use the term loosely here since we didn’t have the numbers) I thought “if we’re going to lose the tower(which I genuinely thought we were) I was going to drain it of supply with as much siege as possible and make a last stand”. Was almost going to throw a ram down, as I was out of AC’s, lol.
Was so surprised we managed to wipe you guys, honestly did not expect that.

After our failed attempts at trying to “flank” ( I use the term loosely here since we didn’t have the numbers) I thought “if we’re going to lose the tower(which I genuinely thought we were) I was going to drain it of supply with as much siege as possible and make a last stand”. Was almost going to throw a ram down, as I was out of AC’s, lol.
Was so surprised we managed to wipe you guys, honestly did not expect that.
