Dansey Pants! Tell Jela I’ll be looking for him. We have a score to settle from the last IoJ/SBI matchup. Haven’t been able to play yet as work has stole half of my weekend from me, but I was checking scores regularly and SBI definitely has a hell of a better Oceanic crew than the last time we bumped heads. Which is good. Now IoJ might stop getting called the “Nightshift PVDoor Zerg” and see some good fights and less name calling.

Also a big hello to the rest of my old IoJ friends on SBI! Looking forward to putting some arrows in your necks :P

I can’t imagine how many people are playing WvW on our server (SBI) either. Where did all these people come from? I don’t think we’ve queued all 4 maps since like October. What the heck? We could’ve used them last week.

They will be gone when all POI and Vista have been checked in the Green region.

AR’s my original server. Scrappy kittens that fight hard, just lack an oceanic presence. Never count ’em out, though.

About 2 hours ago all 4 maps were extremely colorful. Nice reset night. AR pushed out hard, but momentum quickly went into SBI’s corner with #‘s. IOJ had a consistent queue on our map (which is a nice change of pace) while EB kinda swung back and forth around outmanned. TBH outmanned is a much nicer feeling, you really have a better idea where you’re at on people-power.

Maybe Anet can do some sorta in-between? Like Under-manned? something between Outmanned and Not outmanned so you have a little more of a feel for how many people you really have? And maybe a more scaling level of a handicap? Just a thought.

ANYWAY, matchup stuff. Was nice to exploit SBI’s overextending up north on AR by sucker punching stonemist but we promptly evacuated, expecting to hold it no longer than the 5 minute invul timer

AR COMMANDAHS I’ve asked IoJ commandahsi to hit SBI whenever possible, at least on EB. I know it won’t always happen. kitten happens. But if you’re willing to push SBI more often than not, then so am I If either of us tries to “play for 2nd” the reality is neither of us “win” 2nd…SBI will decide who “gets” 2nd. So throw 2nd out the window, and let’s both take SBI down!!!!!!!!

I am hoping to see more tactics out of SBI wvw guilds. Other than the blob tactic I really haven’t learned anything. No wvw guilds stick out due to the blob and I am pretty sure SBI is starting to be aware of wvw guilds here on AR. When our wvw guilds fight the “blob” it only boasts our morale because it is nice to wipe or hold out against groups twice our size. You guys just remind of a bigger version of DH/BP…just more loot bags!

AR capped SBI with about 4 guilds in under 30 minutes and we didn’t all strike at the same location. Granted we could of but what would be the fun in that!

IoJ if you see WAR in your BL don’t get it twisted. If we are on a roll we like to run with that momentum so….either stop us or get out the way.

SBI’s fairweathers are rusty. Pug quality is the worst I’ve seen in months – no situational awareness at all. So, if they seem bad, it’s probably because they are.

I think it’s only the sheer numbers of them preventing AR from capping all our stuff at this hour.

This is the best night of WvW i have had in a long time.

Getting Bay reinforced in SBI borderlands.

AR (for some stupid reason) Decides to attack us in bay, they wiped on south inner losing their golem. SBI decide to join the party and they come to south inner and lose 3-4 catas and ACs. AR then go to north inner and wipe again losing another golem. SBI then come to north inner, give up, retreat and decide to treb from the cliff
AR then decides to go and wipe SBI and kill their trebs thus saving our keep.

Mind you IoJ has been outmanned during this long battle with ~10 people defending and hurriedly building arrow carts!
Best night of my life and its not even over yet!

Walls are damaged, Gates are broken and we’re still standing strong.
Just goes to show strength is not always in numbers!

You might be sorely disappointed. SBI is a pugway server. We don’t have any huge WvW guilds. Most guilds you see are PvX guilds who are either having a WvW night, or the select few who WvW often are together. xD

We fight together. We die together. One big blob of friendliness.

P.S. Our EB crew is always a blob, better chance looking in the BL for smaller fights.

I gotta say my guild “The Balance” has been having a great time in wvw. These fights are a lot more fun than last weeks! Also there are a few guilds on SBI that focus on wvw like TB or a few others! Good luck out there guys, keep fighting the good fight!

Well LX + pugs with Cicc commanding has decided to defend SBI BL today and AR has lots of numbers but not seeing much outta AR. Any open field engagements you are losing pretty badly with more numbers. Not sure what was going on in our BL yesterday but a different story over the past 3 hours. Hope you are having fun AR.

It worked last week, and almost worked the last two weeks we were against DH…but SF wanted to chase our keeps and towers instead of DH’s. I guess they didn’t “get it”. IoJ was picked on long enough to know the feeling of being “that server” so we’d rather go for the bigger of the challenges most of the time. No matter who we’re against.

Having two mid sized servers hitting the biggest of the three servers makes for a kitten good matchup, for all servers. Everyone benefits in one way or another.

Talk about an intense fight in the inner sanctum of stonemist! I was the crazy elementalist that went tornado and rushed towards the golems! Very nice work with the trebuchets providing constant pressure on our walls!

You should see us dude. [TRBO] always roam on SBI and EB and in our borderlands but I haven’t tried visiting AR this week as I want an alliance with them.

The only other proper small-man and guild groups that I know of that provide those sorts of numbers are REC and INF; and I’ve also seen JQ far out in enemy territory; but only in duo-trio groups.

I fought an excellent SBI HGH engineer using double pistols south of SM today. Had to do a few clutch heals in order to try and stay alive; but eventually he bested me. Awesome job; hope to see you in the field again. I think the guild tag was [sT] or something?

SBI has a small number of solo roamers but no guilds that specialise in the role that I know of. There may be havoc squads out there but I haven’t seen any this week.

Noted and agree. Last week SBI also doubled teamed with Mag against a green DB. I believe that should be the way WvW is to be played. Attacking the biggest threat instead of picking on the weakest for points.

Which is why we focus on AR because they are the stronger of the two.

Champs [SBI] is about the only WvW guild left on SBI and we do not have numbers. Our focus is organized WvW. Our commanders get on and organize the multitude of pugs we have into an organized fighting force.

We welcome any WvW focused guilds to our server to join our effort for organized WvW.

Excellent yourself! Gave me a run for my money. I rarely see other Solo Engi’s about, more often than not they are in a zerg/3-5 havoc group.

Until oceanic time during the weekdays. Let’s see how it plays out. It’s been over 6 months since we’ve left, but my money’s still on a lighter oceanic presence than us.

BTW the AR/IOJ double team on sbi’s map was fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. IoJ has a knack for responding very quickly to threats on our map, often to the detriment of losing an assault elsewhere to save our own map. But SBI’s map is pretty vulnerable, which led to a fun 3-way! Usually you only see that much action on friday nights.

I won’t deny it. Our defence is weak. Only a handful of people know how to set up defensive siege properly.

Keep hitting us until we learn.

They are a Karma train (almost always). I think [Crit] properly welcomed you guys to the Tier a few times this weekend though.

Gotta chime in here and say that after 13 weeks….13 WEEKS…..with Ebay, you guys (IoJ and SBI) are a breath of fresh air in so many ways. Most of all, you’re good sports, which is something Ebay will never be (and I’m really enjoying watching them get steamrolled this week….payback is a kitten). Thanks to all for a fun reset and great weekend.

Love fighting SBJ and IOJ, SBJ is intense in numbers, these 1v3’s are rough so my hat is off to you in that regard. Also I loved how you played battleship with us in Bay.
IOJ is sneaking up on every one it seems this week however.

Good to see IoJ holding thier own with the higher tiers!! Although this means you’ve passed us in rating……uncool man……uncool.

IOJ is holding their own with the help of big brother. I have not seen much of anything from them in EB or elsewhere. SBI was busy getting double teamed all day Sunday, with 40+ AR on our map all day. We even had the outmanned buff flicking on and off for a period time. This allows IOJ to not have to worry at all about their BL’s. I personally love it. AR needs a double team to keep up with us and we have comparable WvW populations.

BTW points battle, not that it really matters, IS already decided. If it continues to go as it is this afternoon, for the rest of the week, SBI will stay close to 300 for majority of the day and hold our own against the double team all night in our BL. Loving our SEA peeps!!

I don’t think I see very many groups out, I see some occasional solo roamers like me… but most of the people are running generally at the zerg.

I try and play on the maps our zerg currently isn’t at so when I get zerged (which will happen) I don’t have to pay armor repair costs.

Plus the only thing I hate more then getting zerged, is my team interrupting my fights an zerging the people i’m on.

While IoJ’s made their own recovery, AR’s a lot further along in their own recovery, having started a lot further back (late last year) and we started a few months ago. I’m pretty kitten impressed how far AR has rebounded, and how well they’re holding up against SBI and us put together (but mainly SBI).

I think IoJ is having a bit of a flop day…I sure as hell am. blegh. edit we get sucker punched like any other human beings but I think we react better than most servers do on defense of our BL. We can at least keep our final two EB towers, the keep, and typically our waypoints on our “homeland” alive long enough to rebound <3

Need to go get caffine for offense…blegh.

I’m at work so I don’t know if he’s succeeded, but I hope he took it, otherwise he might be dead soon.

Anvil Rock has come out hungry for blood this week. No Ebay or BP on the map so a fresh new fight to sink our teeth into.

Point of reference for me, over the past 2 weeks there were times when I would be the only commander on all 4 maps. Not the case this week, lots of guilds and commanders are on each map keeping things fun for everyone.

AR had a 2nd exodus of wvw players not so long ago Nomnom but I think we are fairing quite fine.

@Gravy, I sure haven’t seen any IoJ guys when we sweep your keeps. Since reset I have spent 90% of my WvW time in SBI BL. I have never, at one point thought, “man we need IoJ to help put pressure on SBI.” We don’t need a double team to keep up with you. FYI AR’s wvw community isn’t a bunch of “weekend” warriors. We are very consistent and typically don’t fair well on weekends but we are suckers for new pve content so let’s see what happens after Tuesday.

IoJ, if SBI is no longer red it means it’s wooden and the recap zerg usually leaves about 20 minutes after they recap their BL and go to EB.
