Some great fights this week, for one reason or another Mag’s is pushing back hard and in spite of our fortune over the weekend, the winner is not yet decided.

I am enjoying the mix of open field fights and good siege battles this week. I hope all are enjoying the week and keep turning out to WvW.

Anyway, I’m genuinely curious as to whether or not you’ve tried to recruit a stronger Oceanic/SEA presence. If so, what do you think went wrong? If not, maybe try to fix a perceived problem before complaining about it?

YB has had recruiting drives sure, and has an excellent reputation as far as attitude and friendliness. But this issue has been covered in past threads, where people from certain regions just say , “We all want to play together.” And reality there is not near enough Oceanic or SE Asian players to fill all the servers close to the level of Dragonbrand or SoS. Nor is this game really attracting a lot of new players at this point.

Basically people have to want to split for the sake of better competition, just like the HoD Alliance did after they won a couple straight months in T1. I have no idea how it can be challenging to roll a map every day with 100 people against 10 or 20 over and over and over. Until or unless you get bumped to T1 or T2, when then you just lose badly because your NA can’t hold up.

JQ SEA is more populated than ours or SOS. If it is JQ SOS and Db that time frame would be great but the rest of them would suck.

The JQ bloodhounds smelled a possible server transfer in a totally underelated thread and just had to pop in and peddle their goods.

This morning the Magumma train visited SoS BL on schedule. We screamed for help but ran into communication issues. I advised citizens to have some fun. Mags do you remember your fascination with randomly placed flame rams? What happens when aggressive baddies come together? Here are some screenshots to show you we are not always serious:

For myself I have rarely seen a queue. If so, it usually pops in less than 5. SOS does have a community ts that we regularly try to get the server to use.

So much lolz. Fair play to you guys, I was tagged up at the time and got calls of varying large numbers of [DERP] outside SM then spent a good minute or two laughing (with you, not at you) as we stood trying to count how many actual players you had there.

Don’t let a variety of guild tags have you believe that our group was pure pug, but most of all epic troll was epic. Well played guys, see you again before reset I’m sure.

I don’t know how else to explain that we didn’t raid at all last night. Maybe 10 dorp were just casually running together, and the rest probably just roaming and following other groups. I think you are a lil’ paranoid if you think you saw 40 dorps around a corner.

lol we had like 7 mm necros, a ele, a thief and some radom others, at the peak had 15 guys, far from a 40 man. wernt even a serious thing just wanted to show all the bad necros i see running about with minions how to do it properly. Was good fun, shame minions are still so bad.

I’m a bit curious about Maguma’s stratagy. You guys seem to push us(SOS) hard starting at around 8AM every morning normaly hiting hard and fast just fliping our keeps then moving on and doing the same in YB. However I’ve noticed you seem to drain EB to do this as you tend loose nearly everything you own there till you finish with our borderlands. Just seems a strange choice as I dont see many servers that sacrifice EB to hit the enemy BL’s, heck I dont think we could drag all the pugs out of EB to try that if we wanted to.
It almost looks like you just have one massive, serverwide karma train going on as right after I posted this initialy the mass that was in the BL’s swarmed into EB and is currently trying to push SOS off the map lol.

EB isn’t worth the manpower. We drain all of EB and get two full BL’s in return. We regularly don’t understand why SoS puts 100% in EB and gives us completely free keeps on SoS BL, so to each their own.

Also, EB just sucks in general to fight in. It’s a maze of carts, trebs, and hiding in towers, so guild groups don’t often go there. When someone wants something on a borderland, they’re forced to put themselves out there which means a fight.

You mean these 7 minion master necros with an ele dancing inside the ogre camp building waiting for you to come out? It wasn’t 40, I mean, the point was to make ~5 necros look like a zerg and it obviously worked.

We actualy throw our WvW guilds at the borderlands, or the ocasional specific push at EB, but most of our guild groups actualy have to go to work during the week.

I think the issue is in EB the pugs can always find something to do. One of the other servers will always fight back there. As valuable as holding our BL is or asualting another servers BL if you go 5 minutes without either a fight or moving onto a fresh objective the goldfish attention span of the avrage pug looses intrest and they go off to EB agian. They dont even try the enemy borderlands because chances of finding a zerg to follow are slim while theres always a zerg in EB.
More or less I was just kinda surprised you can heard the cats outa EB to go on that karma train to the other BLs as I’ve not seen much sucess at doing that in the past.

We have super saiyan commander, who can get all our pugs together and make them do something useful. There are some tradeoffs because of that, but it works perfectly against SoS, so nobody cares.

Well our karma train commander has built a huge rep on the server. So pretty much when he announces his karma trains he will for the most part have a queue of people that will follow.
