from what i see is that Yaks show the least resistance so BP keep hitting them to gain points while DH just focus on their borderland and eb…since DH borderland is harder to take it seem like they’ve been ignored like no one really try to take em…while Yaks borderland being flip by BP over and over

No, we’re focusing Yaks because we find them the bigger threat. From the start of the matchup this is what we had in mind. If we break the bigger server, then the win will be easy.

The golem rush on Garrison last night was 8 Alphas and 1 Omega.

There were multiple golem rushes on all three of our keeps, by multiple guilds from both BP and YB.

So far the strategy has led to DH in 1st place, not looking that easy.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Yaks finish safely in 3rd with the release of the Bazaar.

We are working on Darkhaven now. Their numbers are honestly not what we thought they would be. DH is clearly running on a High right now. But to be fair, BP defeated Ehmry Bay the first time we clashed for a similar reason. Remains to be seen if this is Darkhavens usual grind or if they are just more dedicated this week because of them getting 2 tough servers.

And by dark haven esper means the bazaar of four winds, were raiding that place dry of new skins and stuff! Ya!
Esper they can’t know our super secret ultimate strategy!

Between BP and DH the distance is less than 1000….thus the plot thickens!

Hey, just wanted to say that I think this has been the best matchup so far for us. Epic battles all the time and the scores have been really close. There was quite a few OMG moments.

Not to make excuses because BP and DH have played really well this week.. BUT, we here at Yaks Bend did lose our biggest WvW guild and there was no PvE content released.. Meaning we don’t have RAM and we don’t have the casual players because they are busy with the new content/items in the game — We are still here though and we will likely face one of these 2 servers again next week.. Hopefully we will be back to normal playing times as a server next week..

Holy crap – just looked at Mos Mill and we are only ticking 60PPT. I’m kitten ed I gotta work all day now.

Good fights this week BP and DH! I’ve very much enjoyed every outing into a BL this week.

kitten Darkhaven and Borlis, really bringing your a games this week! Impressed, maybe this means we will see BP again soon >:)

It seems every content patch we forget about wvw, well at least with our BL anyways.

last night in EB.

YB attacking paper gate while giant hole is in the wall for a good 10 mins lol.

what you cant see is the rest of yb to the right (off of my ss) near the water with catapults lol.

once they figured out there was a hole in teh wall, about 20 trickled in.

id like to thank the first 15 YB for the bags of loot while my engi friend and i defended it against you lol.

3pm est DH BL, redvale workshop. nice fight there BP. while we couldnt initially cap the camp 20 vs 40+ insta respawns from border WP AND bay WP… we had a fun time farming your bags for a good 5 mins in an open field battle.

BP had been focusing on Yaks Bend for much of this match up. However, DH became the bigger point threat, so we had to switch gears and abandon our vacation home at Shadaran Hills to send our forces at DH. You reach for the stars and get burned. :P

My goodness, i’m finally back and can join the fight!
When i saw this matchup while i was away, i couldn’t wait to get back and have a crack at DH and YB

It is easier when a server doesn’t really care about EB and leaves its defense to many of the newer WvW players. Many of our larger guilds ignore EB much of the time and value our BL above all other maps. Many do get a bit cranky when the main EB keep comes under fire though.

I know I stopped going to EB out of frustration since many of the players are learning the ropes there and I have limited patience for losing defensible positions (such as a fully upgraded and sieged Mendons).

The Imperial Borlisean 1st Armored Cavalry Regiment is holding in DH’s Bay.

I killed Yaks Bend after splintering their WvW community.

To that DH commander that was not cool. Calling in a zeg on a duel is just a waste. I have no problem losing, but to lose like that, come on. I had you. I get that it’s wvw, but you even returned the bow.

edit: As some guys on BP pointed out it probably wasn’t your fault. You had on a tag so it was only a matter of time till a zerg came along. Maybe next time we can finish though.

BTW guys if you see a big charr not attacking you and /bow. It’s o.k. to /bow back and accept, or just walk away. If you aren’t after an objective I don’t care. Just looking for some good fights while in wvw.

I think us as a server needs to learn and understand a loss of everything in EB is only a loss of 75 ppt while a loss of everything in our bl is 145 if my math is correct.

I’m honestly surprised it got to the point of 2 waypoints in DH’s borderlands. As you guys discovered when you flipped our Hills just now, the moment we lose something important in our BL its all hands on deck, que the map.

Yes me and my guildies were there just now and you guys brought everyone for sure I think it is something that we need to work on. Its something that we did very well on monday great match up either way still very proud of my server and what we have managed to do this week.

I’m really displeased with Anet adding “World vs Kite” causing Yak’s Bend invaders to be @-h0|es in the EB Jumping Puzzle cages area right now.

Krew had a blast tonight. From being called back to bp bls to help stop the DH zerg to that epic 3 way battle in DH garri. Loving this matchup so far. Keep up the good fights.

BP loves getting vacation homes in the enemy borderlands. Our favorite is the hotel with the mountain vistas and breathtaking views. But we love the lakeside one too. Its got a pool in it.

The fight was epic in our DH BL last night (10/07PM-11/07AM). Garrison was occuped by YB and BP break down the walls and zerg into Lord’s Room. DH leads by [SE] run into the fight and we stand for about 10 minutes in a tought fight. Sadly we wont cap our garrison back.

Wow this thread is umm…dead but great fights and fun so far this match for the little I’ve been on

Had a blast on Yak’s BL last night. We initially didn’t want to take the SW tower and our plan was to kill all of your siege inside and bait you out with uplevels. That worked for a while till you brought a zerg and stomped our good time. Then is got serious, well not really. I almost cried from laughing so hard when we had at least 12 build sites down in front of the tower. I don’t even think you guys knew where the real catapult was ;P b/c you left the catapult on the rock alone and eventually knocked the door down. All we wanted was for you to come out and play….but zerging us was just plain rude Yak’s Bend.

I’m at work right now but I’ll try to post the screenshot of all the build sites later. It was too much fun…even the commander that was there gave up on trying to keep us in order. He was overcome with laughter as well.

Good times had by PD all evening!!!! Hope I get a chance to play tonight. Hat’s off to BP for putting us (DH) in our place yesterday. Waypoints in both keeps…kitten you BP, kitten you!

I’m glad the zergy people are having fun this matchup. From a roamer POV this has been the worse matchup I’ve ever seen. People are either running away, moving in groups of 10, or not being around completely.
