Is this really fun for them? They’re not even getting any world XP for most of the time. If some of them moved to lower tiers they’d have more fun and interesting fights, less lag, shorter queues… but I guess that all pales in the face of the pride of being on a T1 server.

Well they don’t choose to stay on this map. Just queue for everything and see what pops first, unfortunately now we get in “all green” borders without queues so a lot of people stay there recapping camps while being queued for EB etc.
Being on a border escorting dolyaks and getting sentrys is more fun than standing in LA waiting for EB.

I think we got 3-4 Omegas and a few Alphas killed in that attack, thanks to people standing their ground and fighting nicely on the stairs against a much larger enemy force (oh, and two Sup ACs, of course).

hey.. i was one of the 4 trees placing siege! My guildies and i where looking for some fair fights, and was impossible! (not your fault Elona).. so we drink a little a start placing the siege for fun! Nice you join the party!

Eugh. This matchup is going to do nothing for the Gandara WvW community which is very much on the decline. Elona can expect a very much empty Gandara borderland, with a karma/Wxp train recapping Gandara structures on EBG. Other than that, you won’t find good fights outside of organised GvG.

An empty Gbl with a karma train recapping stuff on ebg sounds like every week for us anyway.

Strange reply. You seem to “pfft” in derision but then go on to agree with me. Probably a little harsh to say there will be no good fights for Elona outside of GvG, but Gandara as a server feels a little fragmented at present, and its becoming harder and harder to rally people for active defence. I’m sure it will pick up at some point, but it’s all a bit messy at present.

We put up a good defense of WH on GBL. sieged it to the teeth but then we got sidetracked on a [lion] hunt in Quarry camp -whatever its called – ( many siege were offered as sacrifice to the ram god) then we noticed Elona came in to zerg WH :/

It depends where your sitting on gandara i guess.
As a part of a guild group im quite happy with the situation really. Were in a good spot as far as a rating and our guild sizes go. Go much higher and we’d just be fighting much bigger guilds, go much lower and we’d have nothing to fight. Most guilds seem to share a similar opinion and are quite happy really.
I’m aware that other parts of the wvw community are dysfunctional and basically broken but … its not my problem to fix and i wouldn’t know how to if it was.

Two if the three waypoints in your screenshots have been build up in the night by only me (in a “battle” with a server mate who was doing the same on Gandara BLs).
So while our Elona zerg was busy somek*tten else I had some nice 1v1s and battles for supply camps and dolyaks. Met some good players of both of you servers!

Sry for the waypoints tho – I´m too, since they have cost me a lot of gold and you allready have destroyed them.

Have fun and be sure the real elona player base never wanted something like this!
However some of us are trying to make fun out of this rediculous matchup.

4 omegas and 30-40 at our inner, at 4-5 in the morning. It’s weekend so we are awake, but don’t worry you can pvd freely during the week at your night shifts. Thanks for bags.

My Dear WvW-Players on Gandara, You really need the higher save Position at your Spawn on Gandara BL? I mean i gladly fight you 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 if you like better, no problem for me. But to stand obove me an shoot me with a bow while to brave gandaran try to fight me is just noob play….lol.
At this point congrats to YAK you always a though fight an give me hardtimes.
Also very funny scene to meet with a Gandara at Golanta on EB, we wave at each other and go our own way…

Kudos Elona Reach…you are the best server we’ve ever fought. Don’t listen to the moans, you’re playing the game the way it has to be played. W3 is flawed. Not your fault. Anyway, I’ve found many of you to be pretty feisty, unlike Jade Sea last week, the worst server we’ve ever fought. Sure they won. But they were souless and crappy.

We don’t have any queues. The robots who follow the zerg about capping kitten who think their rank makes them l33t have found other things to do. The guilds who just care about their own fun are crying in their crisps.

Are you seriously whining about FSP blobbing? On a matchup in which both Gandara and FSP are getting kitten d. I spent most if the afternoon at EB spawn being camped by Elona with every objective sieged to the hilt while being outmanned. Strangely I would take AM over Elona any day. Atleast they didn’t spawn camp with shifloads of siege.

Still looking forward to meet a German guild with some “cojones”.

Hehe, it is true that fsv, punk and kale were in the same border. FSV did run alone for the most part tho. We met up with the others at some point when they needed supply and on another occasion we just happened to run to the same place when we were going for supply. FSV took hills from Elona while punk and kale were fighting elona in bay.

But we were there to try to take stuff from Elona, punish them a bit So i’m sorry if you thought it was blobby, but sometimes people actually want to take stuff from the enemies. But again, FSV was roaming alone for 90 % of the time and looking for fights / taking towers alone.

I see our brothers in war, Gandara and FSP have been blessed with beastly opposition. ER as memory serves correct the first server I encountered that had mega blobs. Ah fond memories. Hows the action?

For the most part both german servers we have the pleasure of being against, get their PPT and then cease being aggressive, not a great matchup for roaming guilds. In prime time however AG sticks it to em both, when in reality we should be getting crushed.

What I would give for servers with the mentality of Augury Rock, Underworld. They fight tooth and nail for everything. I feel almost dirty fighting karma farmers.

I also miss my prince.

The Matchup is because in the last matchup Elona got to less point against SFR and Piken so it seemed they went down that much.

If they win with such a high score they will be soon back in the higher matchup a bit strange i think.

To XxX, once we were noobs, guild from Gandara. Your group is good, nobody is denying that. FSP was running a co-guild event on ER BL. PunK, Kale and FSV not blobbing but mainly hitting the same BL. Kalevala was 20 strong FSV and PunK were both near 15. There’s no fair fights ever in WvWvW field. That’s what GvG is for.

Please make sure you notice the difference between WvWvW and GvG. At least Irie guild from ER, props to them aswell, can take the death like men. They would crush Kale 1v1 as it stands now anyways. I have no interest whatsoever to force the GvG rules over the whole playing field of WvWvW. If you get flanked by other guild while hitting one of us in the back it’s only playing WvWvW as it should be played.

TLDR; WvWvW is not GvG

We do not GvG, there is WvWvW for that. It is only a pitty that every server picked up the current blob-meta and forgot about an even open-field fights. You do GvG couple times a week in same place on the map and after that just blob – i cant sense any fun in this, but well its your choice. For myself there is no better fun then good fights vs same or A FEW more ppl in OPEN FIELD. I dont mind being flanked or rear-charged by another group but if its constantly 50+ ppl group chasing 15 … well u can say by yourself if u have any fun with wiping 15

Yes there are fair fights in www field and would be even more if those so called GvG guilds run in open field with 20-25 instead of doing that .. GvG or just blobing

blobbing the whole day and do even combat ONLY 1 time at week is your choice we play 98% of our playtime like that,u can roam as guild always and take what the matchup offer to u,wipe by blob,wipe a blob,even fight,fight other guild,run from other etc etc,elona is only a number and u all showed us that(but wich national german server are not only a number?:/)

we killed gd 1 time and they started blobbing,we killed irae 1 time and they started blobbing we tryed zerg guild but they have more number than us but we gived them a hard and good fight,and nothing more only a mass play who can easly be farmed in a keep(like garrison 3 time in 10 min the whole blob wiped so easily)but is so boring like that.

I can understand pug zerg,but really zerg by guild is the most kittenty thing the game can offer,elona can win this matchup easy without blob because more than half of population of gandara really dont care about point/rating.

But u all prefer only play with 50/70/90 and more number all sticked to the same brain,and run behind 10/15/20 ppl yeah is wvw,the wrong way to play it.

ps: the only good thing of this matchup is,all pver’s of gandara not joining wvw and we can jump on every border without queue:D

Yeah, we are sry. Every day we do guildraids with our 20~man and we fight YaK, PunK, Kaile, FsV and sry if i miss a guild. And after our guildraid yesterday, we switched to the eternal battlegrounds with our left 10 man. But hey, u wiped our 10 man with ur 20-30 man rly good, bigest respect. After that we followed our Main-Raid because we werent enough anymore, i know we should shame ourself. But hey, u can ask any other guild, we run with our guildraid into any blob and into any guild we see and we come back every time. ^^

But i love guilds, who wipe an enemy with 20 man more and then open their mouth. Big respect to u and ur guild.

Anyways to the other guilds, thanks for the fights from [irae]. Srsly every night u have so many guildsraids and we have so much fun to fight you.

With an ER guild, while under AC and cannon fire.
Yet you guys found it a good idea to hammer us while we where regrouping.

Thanks to all who were on gandara borderlands tonight, we had a lot of fun

Elona ran with a lot of small groups that were a blast to fight! FSP was running with separate guild groups, although AoA was a bit too big for us, still had some good fun. Was quite a bit of blobbing going on from gandara side at certain points, so sorry for any inconvenience from that ^^

I bet we had the most uncoordinated golem zerg ever…. in true gandara style. We managed to kill em off by attacking lake, which I’m pretty sure also isn’t too common :P Was almost bed time, so might as well use them in open field combat.

Thanks to the [city] warriors and guardian for the fights in EB tonight, your little melee ball hurts!
