I don’t think GW2 is a game where 1 build rule over all others… I’ve seen many diferent builds from the ones you listed work nicely, so I’d say GW2 is more like Rock/Paper/Scissors… One build is effective against a certain kind of oponent, but it problably will be weak against another.

I’ve beaten many of the Infamous Backstab/Heartseeker thieves and Zerker Greatsword Warrior with my engineer (which isn’t condition based, as she only have 210 CD). The ones I usually don’t kill are the ones that can run away easily, or the condition mesmers/necros which are the weakness for my engineer.

It’s more a “L2P issue” than a “OP Class issue”. But I agree that people that make builds designed to face foes on 1v1 and flee when things get rough deserve to die in shame… If you can’t win a fair fight, at least die with honor! Remember, you can always respawn at your base

This is why I love the outmanned buff. No fear of death. If you’re going to solo roam, you must have the outmanned buff.

Couldn’t agree more. I can churn out every condi cleanse I have while laying into a necro/engi zerker style and still get killed by conditions. It’s just the rate at which they are applied and how easy it is to spam them that makes it difficult to beat with anything but more conditions. But that is the state of the game so…yeah..

Yep. I don’t tend to run from 1v1s when I’m losing, but I have no issue doing it to fotm condi builds. Cheese like that doesn’t deserve to be rewarded with kills.

I had some fun fights between Klovan and Golanta… Trying to open the tower by myself was quite challenging. Special thanks to the Norn Guardian for RegA (the one sitting on the screenshot), I got 3 rares from the loot bags you provided me before bringing your friends and making me retreat to Golanta.

Well… My guardian have no issue fighting against condition based adversaries (except for mesmers) as it is built around receiving the conditions from my allies by “Save Yourselves” and cleanse’em passively or via skill. However, since it lack toughness, i’m somewhat Thief Food.

Like I said, I still think there is a balance between classes and builds and there is nothing that indicate I’m wrong.

I can’t believe DR is losing here. Looks like we have a lot of points to catch up. That weekend or w/e that night got us bad when FC took all the bases at EB. I’ll see you all at the field

In our 5v5’s we won a lot more than they did. If you were there you would have seen.

They were great fights and took a while, was a ton of fun. Yarr has some good players and I have friends in the guild, nothing against them, but when you come to the forums saying “hahaha so and so ran into level 82 guards and are bad” it makes you sound like a kitten.

So far your server has placed a cataptult on 3 seperate occasions on the northwest tower vista in the last matchup and the current one in order to counter a catapult placed by Bags to take down the wall. All catapults were extremely out of range of our own. One was placed by a player with the [GWTD] tag. THAT was dumb.

Not that I care about this argument, but using the map to make other people kill themselves is superior. Getting yourself killed by guards is kinda dumb.

Two guard, ele, mesmer and X is our main group, you guys just had so much condi X happened to be another guardian.

no offense but reminds me of how PAXA thought they were so awesome because they brought 2-3 guards for 5 mans. and yeah Yarr is guilty of it too at times.
