Well, can only comment on conditions/healing since that is all I’ve done. Some of us were curious after watching Logi’s video. We went to the Mists and found that we could pretty much just facetank the forest NPCs without ever having played the class or build before. My build is a bit more offensive in nature than Logi’s but it’s the same basic concept.
IMO, the passive healing in this build is perhaps too good (read OP). That’s pretty clear when fighting power damage classes 1v1 or 1v2. It seems more balanced in a group fight since 3+ people focusing on you can outdamage the passive healing, but it’s still pretty kitten good.
Honestly, some of the people in the movie aren’t really bad. It’s just that their build can’t beat mine (no matter how good they play or how bad I play). On the flipside a good condition necro could post a movie destroying me.
Most importantly though, is that it is fun to play. It’s nice having a strong melee and a strong ranged option.
I enjoyed the clip of the norn warrior in red from CORE dying. He was on when I was roaming this morning, and it was pretty ridiculous how sad he was. He’d bolt away from me and run to a ballista in the nearby camp and just sit there until the zerg showed up. And it did, every time. It was really impressive that they’d be able to bring 10-15 people within 30 seconds just for one roamer over and over. I wish I’d been able to get him in open field like that.

How many players does IoJ need to take a paper tower? Evidently more than this. My favorite part is in the first screenshot. Orange swords on a single poor dude when you still have another 15-20 building siege on the gate.

I understand the use of siege comes from lower tier tactics but when you already outnumber us in fights 2:1 at least have the honor to fight it out instead of building siege.
I think it was TEST guild? Last night they had about 6-10 in our SW camp and they built about 5 ballistas and two arrow carts. Great sieging positions but honestly we were quite confused. You were holding a camp against a whole four DR, and remained there for an hour. How is that fun? We didn’t even have anyone on the map and you still refused to come fight without siege, and you didn’t take anything worth actual points.
You guys realize there is a respawn button? If you get out there and fight you will get better and won’t get embarrassingly crushed open field without siege. Just a tip. Siege only carries you so far. If you want to get better you’ve got to practice without it, and in a higher tier matchup like this you should take advantage of your superior numbers and do it now.
You know, I don’t know why I would expect anything else from you guys.
In all fairness, regardless of what anyone here say’s, every server at some point does one of the following:
1: Hide’s behind towers/siege/etc
2: Bring’s 2-3x the number’s (im looking at you DH lol) to a small fight
3: Does crappy emote’s in a show of glorious victory after 5v1’n someone
4: Abuse’s some type of situation (Guild claimer,LOS,Distraction’s etc)
the list goes on and on, it’s due to the random nature of the encounter’s in WvW. That said i know for instance my guild has a no emote for dumb kitten rule, and we constantly yell on vent not to chase that 1 ranger who happen’s to be in the wrong spot while we are 20 ppl deep. Now this is when we run as a guild, but obviously when ppl are in smaller groups or by themselve’s u never know what will happen. Anyway’s let’s all take a step back and try to enjoy the combat no matter how whack it is when u get it, or how great it is. That said the video posted against IOJ is funny as hell, and everyone in there deserved everything they got and more imho.
P.S. My norn now has dread’s to go with the Nornstache, so im pretty sure i got boost +10 to classy or healing power.

They had obviously great communication, they were just a bit slow to react and it seemed like their leader was confused about how to approach certain situations. Pretty good job though in organizing that. Those groups are going to be very lethal if they keep it up

personally I never use open field siege because I think it becomes an easy target, but it seems to work for other commanders so w/e. Also by superior tactics I’m referring to the fact that IoJ has been playing to its strengths, as in the PvD you guys cry so much about lol. Also DR actually has pretty good coverage as they’re one of the few lower tier servers with really good EU coverage, DH also happens to have a really strong western-coast crew. Both are things IoJ is lacking but I’ve yet to see DH or DR make use of it.

Something IoJ can’t even do? It’s the most simple tactic yet you guys still get choked and wiped. Never have I ever seen an IoJ commander pull to a chokepoint. With the amount of siege you drop you’d think you would have a set retreat point with hidden siege, preferably in a choke, and then use that point in a fight where they’re going to lose. Your commanders lack creativity.
Personally, I play for kills not play to win. I could care less about the PPT or winning, and a lot of DR feels the same way. The amount of guilds based around roaming on our server greatly outnumber the guilds that care about winning. I’d say 10 or so roaming guilds, and 3 that care about winning. The three that care about winning are also heavy PvE guilds. We recently lost a guild that fielded 20 or so daily and that was a lot of our EU coverage.
I think we are simply trying to point out that IoJ needs to learn to fight instead of playing Siege Simulator 2.0. Tactics to nullify siege are taking over, we’re only starting to learn and adapt to become better players. What are you getting better at?

I play to win because winning is fun. Coming across random fun duels is just the bonus of playing WvW.
Also it sounds like you’ve been fighting one many upscaled zergs. You should try facing one of our actual guild groups before forming opinions about the rest of our server.
EDIT: to be honest if your looking for good fights I highly recommend going to a high tier server where you are a lot more likely to run into GvG battles, I can’t forget the intensity of those high tier matches when IoJ was t2-t1 where tactics were everything albeit the score was decided by coverage but the fights were still amazing. At the low rankings we’re at your not really going to find the challenging battles your looking for nearly as often as you’d like.
Well had a great time in Dr bl tonight with my 5 man group so much no stop action. It was very enjoyable taking on groups 2-3x our size and winning . Thank you for all the loot bags dr. Oh and the 3way at Greenlake tower was intense. Watch out for the FT tag this week Dr there will be a few of us roaming around in your bl for the remainder of the week
