When you learn to not look at the scoreboard, or care about it or PPT, you start to have much more fun. Things don’t frustrate you as much overall, and you really just realize that you are simply outgunned/outmanned and it "is what it is.

Funny thing is the less you look/worry with the score, usually the better you do.

Even when leagues start, the score will actually matter then, but the outcomes are already pretty much decided. And the few upsets that will occur will most likely be attributed more to server stacking/destacking that is currently occurring which is going to skew the rankings, rather than true underdogs defeating a favored server.

We learned to play for second and to not really care about it…and then, we do well! Though, I’m sure every guild’s gonna stay away from SF. I heard BG came to our server to take on Teq, and they rage-quitted due to some of our players. PvE players, not WvW players.

Ive seen so many people give up on our server after Teq came out(Me included after wasting many hours coordinating that fight.) . Not looking good for SF’s future at all.

Devon has said ANet is making changes to the WvW season 1, and the might change it to 4 leagues which would help us out a lot. If not i see many more players abandoning ship in the future than they are right now.

Yep, he said they hope to announce said changes on Thursday, assuming they can get translations etc in place by then.

Hopefully, like Clint said, it will be 4 leagues in lieu of 2. As the last 2 weeks have illustrated 2 leagues would be non-competitive and essentially catastrophic to morale for the lower end of BOTH leagues.

Had tons of fun playing in HoD borderland, the battle for the tower by SF spawn was awesome, until you guys pulled off because yaks was attacking your garrison. It was pretty funny running into you guys again inside your garrison, I tried to get my people to hide but you sniffed us out like WXP bloodhounds. :P

I understand that this must be a very frustrating matchup for you guys, YB’s WvW population has been there. For what it’s worth, I haven’t even heard of any of the named and shamed YB guilds mentioned, and they are not representative of YB WvW.

Blowouts like this tends to bring out a lot of new bloods that tend to do their own thing, for better or worse. Please don’t tar our whole community with the same brush.

I love GW2. I love WvW. Going out with my guildies and having coordinated group fights is some of the most fun I’ve ever had in an MMO, but I spend most of my time out of WvW. I consider myself a die hard for the WuvWuvs, yet most of my time I’m online puttering around in living world content farming gold/mats for new legendaries or ascended weapons just waiting for that brief hour or two when we have our group on. So you go on and look at your statistics of who plays what how long, just know you’re leaving a giant community out to dry.

No one wins in this match up. Just a few sprinkled fights.

I really wish things were more evenly matched here. It really sucks for SF and HoD. Its a shame because from what I’ve seen from both of these servers, they both have a lot of really good roamers. And that’s something we never find when we face some of the higher tiered servers that are usually steamrolling us. This matchup seems to have brought out a lot of the jerks on YB too. A lot of guilds and players I’ve never seen before who keep ganking small groups and uplevels then laughing at them.

I’ve had a lot of decent fights so far atleast. Just now I had I really good fight with this sylvari ele at the hylek camp. Too bad other people on my side kept trying to jump in. I really wanted to fight you alone. When I realized they weren’t going to listen to me and kept attacking anyway I just bowed to you and left. That’s why I didn’t even bother trying to save that guardian who you killed and stomped. Hopefully i’ll run into you again. You didn’t even have a guild tag but i’ll probably recognize you if I see you again. I was the human ele with the DAOC tag.

I just corpse jump them later when I catch them trying to run back to the herd. And all is then well.

But again, we appreciate the kind words from you guys. SF has been there, we know that when we outnumber servers all of the sudden there is 3-4 tags in EB and loads of passengers ready for that karma train. It is pretty sad really, but it is a fact of the game.

Fairweathers gonna be fairweathers, and no I do not subscribe to the theory of: well maybe some of them will come for the karma and stay for the WvW in the long run. I also don’t believe in fairy tales.

SF has had similar things happen in the past and while I understand it, something struck a nerve last night and I just had to tell people what actually happened. Between the golems hitting the keep, whoever was hitting Bravost and the sixty at QL, we had nowhere near that amount of manpower at 2 am. I thought I’d set the record straight. If it weren’t for SM, I’m sure we could have held on much longer, but everyone needed to get to bed at some point that night.

I really wonder where all those people on YB come from all of a sudden – i remember weeks where a handful of people, me among them, tried to defend our BL against constant Zergs, and no one came to help. This system really messes things up, the leagues will do so even more so. This match-up is not fun for all of us either…i know it won’t make you feel any better.

That’s what I was saying before. We NEVER have this many people. Where were they last week when we needed them? How much you wanna bet that if we face DB or SBI again all these new people will be nowhere to be found? This would have actually been a really fun matchup for all of us if we hadn’t had the sudden influx of all these new people, because normally we have about the same coverage that SF and HoD have. They kinda screwed things up for everyone.

We did get chased into Durios once, but had the supply to get some acs up and make the Yaks invaders regret their push into the tower.

Yeah, we’ve said the same thing when fighting larger population servers like Mag, FA or DB. Unfortunately population is one of the biggest failures of Anet’s WvWvW.

I am writing this as a favor to you in order to inform you that you do not need quite so many people to take a non upgraded supply camp. It is doable with less and in truth one person can capture a supply camp and have it done before the swords appear.

If you wish I can train your people how to do it solo and can accomplish that training with a Guardian, Mesmer, warrior or any class that suits you. The cost for that training will be 5 gold per person but wait, there is more! If you sign up before the end of the month I will cut the cost to only 4 gold per lesson!

I suppose however there is that fear factor involved from being alone for the first time. Sadly I cannot teach you courage, that is something you must do by yourself.

I am writing this as a favor to you in order to inform you that you do not need quite so many people to take a non upgraded supply camp. It is doable with less and in truth one person can capture a supply camp and have it done before the swords appear.

If you wish I can train your people how to do it solo and can accomplish that training with a Guardian, Mesmer, warrior or any class that suits you. The cost for that training will be 5 gold per person but wait, there is more! If you sign up before the end of the month I will cut the cost to only 4 gold per lesson!

I suppose however there is that fear factor involved from being alone for the first time. Sadly I cannot teach you courage, that is something you must do by yourself.

Yeah, it would be nice to have people on our server that can do small group capping or solo capping, but the amount of people in your screenshot is our WXP Train.

The karma train for SF has been strangely absent since we stopped fighting AR and ET for the fifteenth million time.

I have to say I’ve been a little disappointed with some of the turn out on Yaks. Do you (some, not all) really need to /dance or /laugh after a group of 8-10 of you kills 1 person?

Kind of been feeling like this guy all week.
