this matchup sucks being overrun and stomped by arborstone everytime all over again only makes us want to move to another server.
many have already left including 5 commanders that i know of…
maybe put a queue on our borderland at least so we can DEFEND it?
so many attackers and so few defenders cant do us any good.

The number of commanders and players that have gone from Fissure is worrying. We (and Vabbi) could really do with an injection of fresh players to help balance up our matches against whichever 3rd opponent we face: whether thats RoF, Arborstone, Blacktide or anyone else. Our numbers need to grow (or maybe there is a need to shut down a few servers and transfer everyone out – I feel bad, and sad, for even mentioning that though ).

BTW: I’ve been meaning to ask about server-wide FoW WvW TS3/Vent/Mumble, etc: if there’s a current one my guild should be using can you PM me in game pls? thanks! (I might have missed a memo due to being based Down Under…)

You could all just buy gems and transfer like everyone else did. I know it’s hard to leave a server you’ve been on for months, but it’s either that or sit, wait and get crushed week after week until Anet does something about it. Which, apparently, isn’t gonna be anytime soon.

This is not even fun for us…

Oh yes, I’m having fun as a FoW player. Hunting down Arborstone who are trying to keep up with their zerg You know that they are annoyed by it because they start dancing and lauging on top of your body after you got zerged. But yeah, other then roaming a bit and taking camps/sentry points we are always busy in our bl spawn area getting nowhere Im not sure but it looks like this matchup is better then against RoF. At least I saw some good FoW zerg play and some stacking for the first time. Thats pretty advanced for an unorganised zerg i think!

Eventualy I will move on because the somewhat dedicated wvw player wants to see what real wvw play is about and since I started on FoW im very curious to see. Not sure when I move because im still having fun and im learning alot though….

Awww, it’s a shame to hear you’re considering moving. Because I really like your attitude! There has been times when I’ve wondered what it’s like playing on a server that’s organised and in a tight match etc. I’d only ever considered moving if all my WvW friends moved to the same server though.

I heard there was a server wide voice set up ages ago, but no one used it. Hmm. I think it was set up by [PvP]? Ahhh, how I remember [PvP]….. So I don’t think there is one, but it would probably help. Though I’m far too shy to even listen in. :<

Thanks Hamham, I try to be positive and most of the time I am. When im not, I log off and do something else Problem is that most of my gw2 buddies have moved and I’m pretty alone on the battlefield. My guild [BKT] is just a placeholder, waiting for a fellow guildmember to come online. I’ve been gone for a while also, but im back playing again.

So, what to do on FoW, join a wvw orientated (organised) guild? Like if there is one? Maybe I’m not aware… I dont want to waste the gems on a server transfer, just hoping things change for FoW and Vabbi.

Surprisingly Fissure of Woe’s WvW population seems to be on the increase, despite the dozen or so people leaving. On the Saturday night against Ring of Fire the other week we had our first queue pop in a long time, then this Friday and Saturday we had it happen again.

I have a feeling this might be down to a few individuals jumping into Lions Arch and rallying up some troops, which I think we are all very grateful for. That said, I do know of quite a few transfers into Fissure of Woe recently, so who knows.

As for server wide VoIP, its probably not going to happen any time soon. We had a run in with a couple of Guilds giving out our location to the enemy recently and I’m currently being very wary of who I work with.

Sorry to be another FoW player complaining about these match-ups but wvw is basically unplayable at the moment. Or at least unenjoyable.
I find myself logging in to try and help the server build some kind of presence in wvw only to be stomped over again and again by overwhelming numbers.
1-1, 2-1 are generally really good duels (even though I play a necro!) and I win as many as I lose but trying to find opportunities for these kind of fights when every moving thing seems to be a mini zerg are increasingly hard to come by.
The loss of several commanders, as Mor mentioned, has really hurt any attempts at organisation (although I truly applaud the efforts of those commanders we still have – thanks guys, you know who you are :-) )
I’m not sure what the answer to this is but at least on the old system we sometimes had control of areas outside our own spawn point.

Please can someone from ANet take a look at what is happening to the lower servers and send us some hope?

Oh, and I’ve included a screenshot of a typical map atm. This was against RoF but it looks almost identical tonight!

like in your map you can see they have waypoints in keeps of border not their own
and because of their numbers and mobility you dont even stand a chance at getting it. ever.

This is pretty sad both for vabbi and FoW but also for Ring of Fire and Arborstone the last weeks. They couldn’t do anything about that matchup and they’re probably as bored as you guys are.

I hope something will change with these servers, it probably wont take long anymore before WSR has to pay a visit vs these 2 servers also..

Well, it doesn’t seem there’s anything being done about our matter (FoW and Vabbi). Other than changing the match-up, which will help us nothing. In these last couple of months. There was no chance to even be able to “win”. Only ,once , we (FoW) were ahead in the WvW match-up for a couple of days, but was then annihilated (not even exaggerating) just before the week ended.

Like others said – this really isn’t fun. Others might enjoy their small fights (ya it can be fun at times), but losing non-stop just discourages most of the players doing WvW on FoW and Vabbi.

Nowadays, I only do WvW for the dailies then I’m done. No point in even trying if we’re being outnumbered. Even though we might’ve had a queue recently it doesn’t mean all the other borders does as well. And that’s also where some of the problems are at.

It probably won’t even matter who we go against, seeing as we’re the least populated servers. I’ll still be staying on the server (at this moment) to help out where possible.

I’ve only seen FoW with Stonemist Castle 3 times since the refresh, And vabbi has had it over 7 times, lol.

Wouldn’t really class it as repeatedly, just pot luck.

Speaking of exploitation, Arberstone called us hackers for hiding a mesmer in Stonemist lol. Typical french, excuses hahahaha.

Well one both vabbi and FoW major issues are people lose a few times in WVW and give up. People do not realise they should be coming back so our numbers can build up as many times i see tons of people around just not in wvw. Last night for instance suddenly we had many many players on and actually managed to get to 300+ points before i had to log off. Also a part of the problem is both our playing style. When they are zerging in your bl its better to get a group of a few guys and go EB or Arbor BL and cap some camps/towers(keeps usually once swords are on zerg is incomming). So you can actually maintain a decent amount of points. (around 80/100 sadly is decent for us).

Also we should work alot more together. Sometimes disappoints me when we finally have our garrison and northern towers vabbi thieves come in to cap our camps. This way we will nevr get our stuff upgraded and a WP at keep. (not saying none of FoW never do it).
Anet will probably not make any favorable change so we should just always work together and not cap stuff of eachother.

P.S. I think all FoW agrees at least the mood is alot better in WvW since a certain player finally left.

Blue Perception? lol he’s on Piken at the moment, but I think on a ‘three day holiday’ .. wink wink. And had threatened to leave for another server all week. We’re crossing our fingers.

I’m still stomped why Anet doesn’t just ban him. At least temporarily, it’s more than obvious that he’s ruining the game for a lot of people. He’s been reported so many times already that I’m surprised their server hasn’t crashed yet lol.

That’s his um, “vacation” I believe . . .
