So JQ is out of the picture, I guess that’s why Anet gave JQ easier schedule so that they cancompete against BG and SoR.

JQ has the easier road, even with a 3rd place finish today. Time will tell. And, don’t be hurt if you think you’re realm alone can’t compete with JQ. Other realms feel the same way.

This ^ And not only that- we were within 1k points what yesterday? Maybe the day before- it’s only in the last day or so that we’ve slipped (mainly because we knew we were coming into third)

Nor am I the one saying only BG or SoR can win the season at this point. I did say, that it appears on paper that the following 6 weeks are easier for JQ, but obviously, no guarantees.

I’m not sure why there is so much hate for JQ. We bust our butts everyday. Some commanders stay pinned up for 14 to 18 hours. That’s called dedication, not an easy schedule.

I would argue, the benefit of coming into the season as the #1 server gave us the better schedule, which is generally the benefit of being a #1 seed in any Tournament. Usually #2 v #3 is in the cards before one of them meets the #1 seed in any kind of finally, upsets aside.

Edit: Thing is, we don’t know how the season will pan out, and Butter is just being boastful in his feelings that SoR or BG will come out on top.

Boastful isn’t what BG or SoR should be on the forums. However much diplomacy comes into warfare, they will always be known as the servers that couldn’t beat round one without sleeping with the enemy.

JQ has no right to cry about being double teamed when you joined BG and double teaming SOR hard out of the running for first, we lost 8-9kish points iin one night. SOR will deal with BG for the next 3 weeks so we’ll spite you this week for for holding hands with BG and for the bs easy schedule of yours.

I have no problems with your sentiment, and actually have little issues with being dbl teamed hard by SoR and BG from the get go of season 1, just don’t deny that it happened. When SoR and BG traded Garrison every 15 min without fighting each other the first night, it was pretty clear what was going to happen. It is a 3 realm battle, stuff like this has always happened, will always happen, it is inherent in the game.

Edit: And the reason I play this instead of something else, it reminds me of my old DaoC days. Great stuff.

2v1 situations don’t happen because they are some fiendish plot. They happen because a weakened server creates a target of opportunity. If a zerg is caught between 2 enemy zergs, the zerg in the middle is going to be smashed because it is VULNERABLE. Anyone who thinks their server is being targeted in wvw is flattering themselves.

so all in all the match was balanced, and the 2v1’s were more about strategy anyways.

LOL ok your either trolling or clueless. JQ started falling not because of a 2v1, but because a good chunk of there NA playerbase left for a different server. That left JQ with a huge timezone gap and fell to third.

JQ instead of falling out of t1 rallied up and played kingmaker for the next 10+ months, using the rivalry of BG/SOR and creating 2v1s against whoever they wanted. The whole time this was happening noone really focused JQ, they were just there and the hate with BG and SOR allowed that.

SO again srry you gotta deal witha 2v1 for the first time in a year or so. It kinda happens when you become competitive

if you can’t deal with a 2v1 w/o qq’ing you might not really deserve to be in the top bracket just saying, they 2v1 your server ? ok, let’s rethink strategy and let’s deal with them instead of qq’ing about it and making it into an excuse as to why you lost or whatever.

And how did JQ get to #1? Oh, right, anets matchmaking system put SoR into a matchup that they were essentially forced to lose rank from right before gold league.

If the #1 seed is meant to have the easier schedule, then the #1 seed position should be gained through effort. Not because the previous #1 server hemorrhages 10 rank points even though they dominated their matchup.

If the gold league matchups were determined by server ranking, then the final matchup before gold league should have definitely been based on current server rankings (with #1 facing #2 and #3, not #8 and #5)

You can argue that the #1 server should have an easier week because that’s how other tournies work. But it’s still an unfair system, because that placement, wasn’t determined by overall server strength.

Im from jq, and im ok with 3rd place. simply because 2nd is and will always be the 1st place loser. :p haha

so all in all the match was balanced, and the 2v1’s were more about strategy anyways.

I remember at one night this week when we, SoR, lost our entire BL.

I guess people don’t like how JQ paid people to transfer over for WvW.

I’m on Blackgate and I’ve never seen anything like this past week before. The Scumbag plays that are happening in t1 NA are unbelievable. We and Sanctum of Rall are actively refusing to fight each other and we are both covering each others keeps, towers, supply camps etc.

Last night people were so mad that JQ came within a couple thousand points of 2nd that players from both our servers used voice comms to better communicate our push against an extremely smaller force of JQ even compared to 1 of our servers not let alone both. I heard about the abuse of voice comms earlier in the week but last night was the 1st time I actually heard it for myself. We even responded to defend SoR’s keep while they were across the map and another time we didn’t attack them while they capped a keep.

I haven’t seen this level of try hard since the idiots of old that super stacked servers like Sea of Sorrows and Henge of Denravi months ago making t1 WvW a complete joke.

WvW this past week has been extremely boring in T1 we run 40 man guardian zerg blobs(sometimes they are even bigger) that slow down the server so much with the constant boon spam and cleanses that the only thing you can do is spam your 1 attack and then it becomes a battle of who has more guardians spamming they’re 1 attack Wave of Wrath better.

There is literally no tactics or strategy in T1 WvW atm. Well I should correct myself the strategy of the players on my server at least are to make WvW unplayable by blobbing everywhere we go and I mean everywhere, so we can win some stupid finisher that will represent a very terrible system that the bad developers at Arenanet shoveled into our mouths and our server bought into hook line and sinker.

Its pretty simple and doesnt take a genius to figure out. JQ got the easier schedule and both BG and SOR wanted to have a shot at the win, so they did what they had to.

So lemme get this straight, SoR has been 2v1’d by JQ and BG for the last 10months, but SoR and BG haven’t been in the same tier as JQ for 10 months….

If JQ wins out the rest of the season then the best SoR can do is tie with them and BG can beat them by 1 point, but then BG would have to beat SoR three weeks in a row. The entire reason for forcing JQ into a third place finish is to ensure that it is possible for someone else to have a chance at a first place finish.

If you’re trying to make BG and SoR look bad, you’re doing a terrible job. That sounds like the most impressive thing I’ve ever heard come out of WvW. If it’s true, kudos to all of you. At least something productive came out of this League mess.

It’s hardly impressive. You see this is what you do sit at the top of the wall watch a mass of SoR cap the ring with no chance of being killed but if there was .0000001% chance we are there to clean up their mess like good lil boys and girls and then once they cap we leave the keep without ever fighting.
