Yay! A pair of mostly NA servers! Finally! That being said, can we all agree to take a bit of a break and keep the nightcap PvD to a minimum? A tower here and there, some camp trains, maybe some Hills and EBG shenanigans once in a while to spice things up? Would be awesome to have at least one week I’m not coming home and logging in at 7am and finding us at +35 and holding back a massive zerghoard.

A little more, “ohai! I’m camping ur Garri, come at me enemy bros! =3” and a little less, “ohai! I’m camping ur entire BL at 4am… and their BL… and most of EBG…”

In all seriousness though. One of the best warriors I’ve seen in a long time. Which says a lot I think, seeing how I eat most of the common leg specialist casual warriors I meet in the field for breakfast with a side of buttered toast. Folks of his caliber might just bring the profession back around.

I also had lots of fun in BP BL this eve. So many fun attempts on garri. I wish skill lag didn’t do us so rotten. Also if it matters EB outnumbered us too. The red horde even stole our borrowed Bay right before the WP was done. For shame.

Too bad you didn’t upgrade walls and doors, maybe you could have appreciated that waypoint for more than a couple of minutes.

Hello everyone, this looks like it could be an interesting match up!

[EV] is looking for 2v2’s and 3v3’s to help improve our game, and hopefully yours too. Maybe later during the week we can go big and even do 4v4’s (likely) and 5v5’s (not so likely).

welcome to an EB vs. BP matchup, SBI! while you’ve played each of us before, this will be the first time many of you get to see us together. you’re in for a treat.

please keep in mind that EB+BP matchup threads are expected to run to 15+ pages of trash talking and trolling (we got tired of getting threads locked so we just make one big thread now) but since a lot of our most frequent posters have gotten banned from the forums we may need some extra help to reach that goal.

note that we do not use GIF / meme spam to artificially lengthen our threads. that is too easy, and the kind of thing you would find in a tier 1 matchup thread.

Does this mean that “it’s not me, it’s you…” truly applies? BP must truly be an unlikable bunch.

Really have grown found of EB, very good server, very balanced for us. CD was overpowering for us, but aside from that they were a class act. BP, however, I personally did not miss at all. Time after time of running to siege and running away from engagements. I know, you play for points and siege. Still makes for a boring match. Will be interesting to see who falls where after the weekend, I know we have just recently lost another guild and quite a few players, how about BP? Still same population pretty much?

Yup here goes a week where Borlis relies on numbers to get things done but gets smashed with anywhere near similar numbers. Ohai WFD, was it fun only managing to capture our southern towers with that ~60 man group? Those Omegas were quite yummy as well.

I agree with you that it is much funner to fight. What I’m trying to say is we need to make them come out and fight. Instead of only attacking Ebay and wiping Ebay off the map.

Opening night I was seeing EB all blue and red… so I’m not convinced this is a lasting thing. Particularly since nothing gets BP raging like playing for second.

Lot of good that did ebay, we like our upgrades, and wiping 3 omega golems.

Its not that BP does not engage SBI’s karma train, we do when we got the numbers. Its just so much simpler to lob arrow carts. SBI very rarely commits to protracted sieges of Keeps and Towers, so after the initial push is repulsed they go look for any easier target. This is especially true of their eternal crew by the way. We don’t have to be the best defended. We just got to be better defended then Ehmry Bay and SBI will go hit that corner.

These kind of posts always make me smile. Heaven forbid we do something that is effective in helping us to win or defeat our opponents! Yes, we should change our strategy now that you have enlightened us to the ways of WvW.

So if I understand all the criticism correctly, BP should never defend anything, only stay out in the open field in small groups, and never utilize one of the key elements of WvW – siege.

And oh yea, we shouldn’t worry about the silly little things like camps, towers and keeps! Why how ignorant of us to think they are somehow important since they clearly are not important to you. Yes, yes! That’s it. Ok, now we that we know we can change how we play so that when we come to the forums you sing the praises of how glorious and honorable BP is on the battlefield!

As an SBI’er, I feel you’re giving us too much credit. That implies we have a plan. The Eternal BG zerg of ours is like a dog chasing cars. Even if it caught one, it wouldn’t know what to do with it.

BP likes to play for watching numbers increase, and SBI tends to treat the numbers like Who’s Line Is It Anyway show motto: the points don’t matter.

Personally I am much more of a solo / <4 man roamer, so I judge a server’s worth based on their players skill, which BP doesn’t have a whole lot of.

Personally I am much more of a solo / <4 man roamer, so I judge a server’s worth based on their players skill, which BP doesn’t have a whole lot of.

In some instances you may be right, but in others you are making a false judgment of someone’s skill. I know because my ability to fight 1v1 or in small groups is terrible when I’m playing my Guardian, but excellent when playing my Necromancer. That doesn’t have anything to do with my skill, it has everything to do with how I built my characters.

My Guardian weapons, runes, traits, and utility skills are designed to buff me and my allies, and this only really shines when I’m in mid-large size groups. So if you catch me off on my own for whatever reason, and I can’t convince you that I’m not worth the time (because it is going to take a while to down me) you will eventually spike me because I don’t do enough burst damage to 1v1 most people – especially people who run small groups and solo.

So what you see as a lack of skill may just be from your perception of what skill means, which is solo/small roaming groups, and mine might be the ability for my mid-large size team to consistently beat their opponent.
