Although it’s another trash matchup as a whole, the reset fights on the PS borderlands were quite entertaining, thanks for some hours of good WvW action.

Yeah what happens atm at Piken BL is a massacre no less. But somehow I don’t feel sorry. After Drak’s initial all-map Garri push at reset we were like “Mmkay so that’s how you want it to go down. Well, you have no idea what you’ve just started…”

Guilds? No, two public raids. But yeah, you’re the greatest, no doubt about that… or you would be if you wouldn’t be that proud of being able to beat a server with a way smaller player base that you have to brag about it.

Yup we wiped a couple of times. First being your Garri push. Since we do not usually blob, from the start 3-4 groups guild raids went to different objectives on the map. Couple of them then wiped at Garri.

As of our failed first Bay attack, there’s no pride in wiping “guild zerg” in close quarters with your map blob backed up by piles of acs/ballistas.

If by “we” you mean “our skyscraper made of acs”, then yes, you did hurt our feelings. Well, my for sure. Congrats. If that makes you somehow feel better, then knock yourself out, I’ll gladly give you that.

Btw when we ran back to Bay, started another attack and got to inner, we didn’t think we could make it. But when RuNL pushed on the right to lord room, your AC squad failed by shifting the focus to them opening left side for GH to push. And then it was over pretty quick.

We can get to this later when you actually have less numbers than we on WvW. What does “smaller player base” have to do with anything right now when you had map choke full of players?

You are still making things up that make you feel comfortable. First, complete domination is boring. I for one love challenge, when you go “kitten they are good! Great fights!”. Second, drop these cheap bites already, nobody’s bragging here.

Just for info Piken has a night/morning crew the same size as T7 servers so don’t go all coverage issue on us. We just make up for what we’re weakest on.

It is really only saying that there is way more people in Piken Square and serves really purpose to show how unequal the match-up is. I don’t think anyone is that naive to think that it is because “how good we are”.

Yeah, that’s a shame, but does anybody even care about points => rankings nowadays? With new matchup system ladder lost any relevance for me. Not that it had much before though.

The only thing that left is a weekly Friday prayer to RND gods. Which doesn’t apparently help so we are getting such unbalanced matchups that are of little fun for all parties involved.

Hell yeah. New Matchupssystem sucks…
1st week Riverside/Aurora – hard but okay, something new
2nd week Piken/FSP – hard again, but okay, still something “new” but hoping for a lower ranked server
3rd week Riverside/Ranik – yay -_- RS again
4th week Piken/Ranik – yay -_- Piken and Ranik again

4 weeks, 4 different opponents… same variation, but no chance of having as much fun as before. It’s too frustrating to play the whole day and at night you look against a wall of enemys with the 4 or 5 allys at your side.

so maybe next week it will be Riverside and FSP
and after that Piken and Aurora

It’s going to be a slow week and probably not fun for any parties involved, till next week.

Perhaps the two servers at a time, unites against one? Or Picken is to weaken the defense for a while? Other way I do not see.

It’s a lopsided match-up and none of the 3 servers wants that. Have fun, keep things light and order a pizza.

Only seen Fort Ranik once before, and that was in the tail end of 2012. I can’t even work out where you got those match-ups from.

I will say at the time that screenie was taken we only had 12 players in WvW in total across all maps, i agree it shouldn’t really be posted on here. It was a challenge me and another commander have sometimes, to see if we can get all keep’s with wp and then hold them for as long as we can.
I understand how you guys must feel to have this matchup, but it’s not the most fun for us either.

There would be a way, not to change the matchup outcome, but to maximize the fun for every parties involved:
To avoid making blobs. Simple, if you see that a group has already more than 20 people then instead of joining it just make your own group making a call on the map chat.
No zerg = more skill and strategies involved = more fun for everyone.
On Piken there are still zergs, it’s true, but the trend goes towards guild/small group play style and we saw that when the three servers have about the same coverage and play style wvw takes a whole new dimension.
So I make a call to everyone (Piken included):
Avoid the kitten brainless zergs. Remember, we play for fun not for kittening WXP.

Any guild up for a GvG 20vs20, whisper me or write me an email in-game

Unfortunetly you cant change the zerg. If you go into combat with 5 peeps, 10 come and kill you. If you bring 15 the next time, 25 come and kill you instead. If you bring 30, you start roflstomping 15 peeps. Which only mean those 25 and 15 combine to 40 and start rolling you. Etc and so on. We can try to to small groups… But it will inevitably fail.

Anyway, it was decent fun on Drakkar border this evening, except that most groups Piken met got rolled easily because they hesitated and their lines broke quickly. I think both Drakkar and Ranik seriously underestimate their own strength. Or are running with way too many berserkers, I dont know. There where so many why didnt they just attack and crush us? moments. Come on, dont be shy, smash into the enemy lines! It wont hurt. Much.

As some DL players may have noticed just now, there appears to be a bug with at least the watergate in Overlook in EB as quite a few of us suddenly got through the gate while it still being closed. This was unintentional and quite a few of us reported it.
How great an advantage it gave us I do not know.

it seems piken has to use bugusing doors to get our keep in EB. we got the screenshot. i didn’t know u had to use this dirty tactics, since ur so good on the field, but was too low. u lost my respect for these people u had to use this. even the commander was in the keep.

Well it just happened, and my belief that anyone else would jump back out and continue to manmode an upgraded gate because we could not place any siege, is about as high as my belief that we will have a matchup with no accusations of blobbing.

I was facerubbing that door then went to grab a cup of coffee. When I got back, my character was in afk by the door but from the inside. Wut?.. Jumped right out.

It is unfortunate however that those bugs with doors still exist. They are huge hate generator and lead to unnecessary out of game confrontations between opponents. Remember Sunny gate? Same story.

Just a heads up. The gate bug appears to be on all keeps on eb. It was reported earlier in the week, and has been happening since last update/patch.

Most people are good about jumping out when they glitch in … But it’s not just red keep.

Couple that with the case of the missing dolyaks into SM bug and you have a great week on EB, lol.

Best to stay out of EB then :/

At least ANET could have had the decency to bring back the siege bug instead so we could have had a week of fun, rather than making a new annoying bug that will probably end up in thousands of reports.
