Yes plenty of enjoyable fights including some nice 3 way fights over keeps etc. Its mostly about the bigger groups tho.

A bit annoying as solo roamer maybe seeing how both gandara and FSP dont have soloroamers really. If they had a few it would be perfect

Strange,cause I roamed all of the bl’s and didnt see any single AG roamer except 3-4 gulidies and to be frank I only saw 2 “roamers” AG thieves waiting for roamers at sentry which I killed very fast…. a part from that you can ask deso or am ppl about gandara roamers and they will gladly tell you.

And there is this other thing…..YOU DOING IT WRONG if you didnt see any single roamer while Gandara have bloodlust almost all the time.

I had some 1v1s this matchup. I had at least 2 yesterday when I encountered people while running supply.

Thanks for calling us out like that FIRE. Looking through your video it’s easy to see there’s 0 AoEs going to the ground from our side. As stated earlier it was nothing but lagfest for us. We were 25 Kalevala if that’s blob for you then ok.

no need to apologize for them, I’m sure they did the best they could and the numbers kept stuff interesting enough for us. we also had a moderate ammount of stealth, might have made it hard for them to focus.

and I couldn’t put all the fights in the vid, I forgot to record some and was running out of ideas for songs for the ones I did record :p

For the entirety of the time the guilds were on, we held exactly one camp, one tower. Then after the small pug group spent the time knocking down the gates we finally waved carrots at the guild raids who condescended to grace us with their presence to fight inside bay and take it (as there were defenders to kill).

I’m sure the guild fights were great fun, but they contributed almost nothing to the score for the whole evening, and in a match up that is this close that could really have hurt the server. Watching one ‘melee train’ fight another ‘melee train’ was about the most tedious thing I have seen in wvw, Stop, Buff. Charge. Hammers. Press 1, press 1, press1. Stop. Buff. Keep in a ball. Water fields. Blast. Wells. Yawn. Why people still stand and wave at it from the front I have no idea- they are quite easy to beat on an open field with a bit of co ordination as the balling up is also their downfall, as is the reliance on the the eles and necros who tend to be on the wings, and the ball tends to focus all it’s damage to the front.

As soon as the guild raids were over a comm tagged up and we were able to have some nice fights and actually hold on to some points as well.

To be fair, guilds have the right to decide if they tag up or not. You could always ask the reasons why to them directly, but having a bit of a vent in a public forum also ‘hurts the server’. I understand it can be frustrating but you have to accept that people will have different aims and goals from wvw, otherwise you’ll end up a ball of rage lol!

It’s a shame you weren’t on AG borders, we had 3 guild ‘raids’ all tagged up and held 75% of the map all evening.

Shout out to the bronze raider ele from VcY, think you got a really solid build and understand your class! Could not get you down with the three of us and were a pain in the kitten for running and coming back again xD

Yeah hes clearly vacating on the wrong server if stuff like that upsets him so much.
When i joined gandara in the summer, there was nothing but guild raids, ignoring towers and looking for fights.
And once in a while you saw a lonely commander with his 5-zerglings-entourage.

You know what? Tag up, spend 100G and regroup on the pugs do your PPT game as you know, if guild don’t want to tag up it’s there deals, those guild really play for your server for pretty much forever, bring points, during primetime so many times, without those guild carrying in primetime, Gandara would be an other Pugs server, and a soon stuff became hard, pugs leave and rage quit, instead Guild stay even during massive blob, to keep fighting.

So Tag up, take resposability, or just shut up.

Same thing works for any other server.

I come on Gandara from Piken Square few weeks ago (started on Gandara then moved to FSP and Blacktide, Piken and back to Gandara). What i notice at start is that pugs do not upgrade towers and keeps. It’s not a problem if you have a guild raid on the border (not if they are not complete idiots) that will keep enemy raids busy and give you time to take/secure/upgrade your points. The biggest problem with Gandara is that pugs spread around to much, most of the randoms do not follow blue burrito on the map, they do not upgrade towers that we just got, they don’t defend Yaks and camps.

Guild groups are there to kill and demoralize enemy groups and to assist when needed and i c no problem in them as i said but in random players that are running around like clueless chickens doing nothing but kittening around the map chat.

We have to many useless people on the map without any clear idea what they WANNA do and what they SHOULD do.

First you can do when join WvW with 3 or 4 friends is to secure the camps, escort yaks and upgrade tower with siege units and walls/doors. If you don’t like that then you can join the blue burrito on the map and follow him pressing no 1 and giving your contribution to Gandara server in WvW.

The worst thing people are doing is afk-ing on the starting location, please if you do that after all then go to closest tower we have, place your champion somewhere on the walls so enemy players can c you (scarecrow) and where you can pretend you are scouting the area.

Which guilds are you refering to? because last night TAC comm tagged up and we took both keeps(bay and hills) and lower towers and even managed to upgrade bay to t1 while dealing with FS combined guild groups and AG guilds zergs.
And before that there was pugs comm with ONS and SoD groups movjng about without tag.

I don’t know if you’re talking about our borderland or enemy borderland, our own borderland is improving when it comes to upgrading and defending stuff, helpin out with building things in em. It sure helps when someone, preferably the “tagged” one, tells em to bring supps n build defence siege. Even so it looks way better then what it used to be like. I’ve spent many many hours running around escorting dollies, repairing walls n doors and tagged siege all over, all that plus keeping an eye out for enemies on the map and calling out when a camp, tower or a keep is being attacked or just even tagged. And I know for a fact that it’s a few of us who really put some serious effort into our defence, Fluffy, Sorv and myself included (Pekpinne), I know I’ve missed a bunch of names but I’ve got a bad memory, am an old fart see :P.

Still I don’t see it as bad, as long as people actually listen to those who cares about our frontier. We’ll do our best to defend what we have and the more, the merrier.

I’d rather play for fights than PPT any day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do both at the same time, I’m sorry but if the enemy is running 30-40 man groups and we have guilds running in 10-15 man groups getting wiped all over the place and not communicating with each other, or grouping up to actually take them on, then that’s really disappointing.

I’m so sorry that your irritation level was actually higher than your skill. I’m so sorry that you bled out even after stealing and using a Healing Seed from my Ranger. I’m so sorry that the Thieves’ Guild threw you out prematurely.

If you would like a rematch, I’ll be that female Norn with the oversized Zephyr backpack, longbow and snow leopard pet waiting on the logs. Not quite a “bearbow” Ranger, I admit, but pretty average. Let’s see if you do even worse this time.

I was running with CNTK last night, i only joined later on that night with them and within that time we defended bay from a rather large guild group knocking on the NE gate, we were the only defenders there at the time,

Without CNTK being there DEFENDING bay. it would of been lost for sure.

This was just one scenario from that night where CNTK contributed greatly that night.

I am not to sure why you are so sour in regards to guild groups, but you really need to give guild groups credit, as the people they are fighting would be zerging you if those groups were not in place to counter them.

I can f-all for Points but I do love this match-up. Wantedtoplay several Guilds here now for months and Iam getting Everything I wanted. Running in to old Allies like VII,TuP and HoB is a delight. Only issue is VII Thieves have me pegged out so feel the need to swap into a “coward-suite” but thats alright. Tnx for yesterday btw.
