It is no biggie, eventually every server figures out that SF goes to work and they can literally PVDoor everything during the day.

There have been times when I have gotten off early from work, and while we are losing this stuff there were 2-5 people total in EB.

Bottom line is that SF is a NA server that is comprised of mostly NA,Canadian,South American (all in the same basic time zones) players. The only way anything will change is us getting some type of Euro/oceanic transfer, or more PVE day players that moonlight in WvW will have to step it up and come babysit while the rest of us work.

My point is that DR has also faced servers with extremely high night coverage. I wouldn’t say we are super at it but we have adapted and somewhat learned how to counter PvD. I’m sure SF will also do so in time.

True. But our coverage gaps are a tale as old as time. We were experiencing this very same coverage gap problem back then as well as many other issues, which combined lead to our demise into T8. While some of those issues have been resolved and we’ve strengthened as a server, we’re still struggling with the coverage problem.

Is there anyone decent in this matchup, 4 months gone and LARP comes back 4 deep to faceroll wave after wave of bads with red names. I may have to start playing with one hand taped behind my back, or petition to remove confusion nerf so some groups can cheeseball us behind a shattercat mesmer again, anything to help up the level of competition.

P.S. Leaving the safety of a wall is the only way to l2play, spamming 1 as a cannon master 4 will teach you nothing.

I would but sometimes I just need my fix of 100 vs 100 combat. (with people who play melees, and arent afraid to charge things, that doesnt really happen here as far as I know, except those DDLG guys if theres a bunch of them on)

I gave up on this wvw matchup after what happened yesterday i mean really…GoM and SF are just taking advantage of DR at night. sucks we don’t have a night crew

SF seems to have no night crew, and DR has just barely enough to defend out own BL. And by defend I mean man the siege, then split up and solo camps back. GOM has superior numbers and take all of EB, their BL, and SF BL. Can’t argue when your points go up by 8K overnight.

Not complaining, im still loving the matchup. Great fights on all sides, keep it up!!

Yeah, don’t get too bent out of shape about that. We knew it was a steamroll, and one member decided to cry over your corpse.
We then used the opportunity use said corpse to show proper trolling techniques, such as dancing, laughing, and the latest and greatest thing “teh barf”.
Overall an enlightening experience of all the different little troll things Anet has put in the game. Honestly, with all the wonderful subtleties available you think both of our noble opponents could manage better that the traditional hop/laugh as you zerg our humble group in an vigorous show of zerginess.

At the end, I believe we did bow. Which most definitely could be seen as a rather odd compliment.

Perhaps the second week, but the definitely not the first one. That’s to be expected when a server realize they can’t win though.

Easy guys, this is starting to flirt with the line between casual trolling/poking and genuine QQing.

I’ll say this much… I refuse to take anyone from SF (my server) seriously if they complain about GoM night capping. DH and IoJ kitten SLAPPED us when it came to night coverage. GoM you have a good night crew no doubt, but there’s a reason our ascent of tiers came to a screeching halt: night coverage. With school out it’s slightly different, but basically it means we went from, liberally, maybe 30 spread out, to 60. SF is an NA time zone server. DR knows what it’s like (kitten YOU IOJ).

One the same note, DR maintains a well upgraded territory. We, SF, have a tendency to lose well upgraded keeps rather frequently. This just makes it all the more harder for those brave souls that choose to WvW instead of farming CoF during NA off hours.

We’ve lost a good amount of players to recent PVE content as far as WvW goes. At the same time there’s been more server coordination and zergball tactics outside of the guilds that really represented it (KING and PVP come to mind mainly). At this time this match up serves as a great arena to practice this sort of approach. All servers involved are, imo, at a similar level of execution when it comes to large numbers (30+ basically) tactics. Most active, decent sized, WvW guilds can field an in guild 20 man group. 30+ is when it gets to a more “server/pug” characteristic of zergs. In that sense us as a server recently have improved greatly. I hope that facing our groups has inspired and promoted your own learning and growth.

There’s very little outside of “buying” an oceanic guild that we can do about coverage. Most oceanic orientated guilds in NA are established in higher tier servers. I’m sure this is a pain felt by many of the lower tier servers. No point QQing. Just gotta work with what you have. As such what we have is a close, competitive match up thats been very enjoyable. Lets see what the randomness has in store for us next week. We may be looking back at this match up very fondly after reset.

To the [DDLG] group who tried twice to kill our trebs north Hills last night in GoM BL and wiped -hard- each time

You had enough to wipe all the GoM pugs there, yet you focused the trebs so intently you let a DPS oriented ele get a churning earth off right in the middle of you. I had a pretty good laugh seeing how many people I downed.

To all the people bickering about who is better, WvW is all about who has the bigger zerg and the better coverage.
