If you say the other part didn’t win, you imply you did by not letting him kill you, when in fact, retiring from a match is losing. ever heard of tactical retreat? i often run away from enemy (also known as kiting) to w8 for my cds or to make them run behind me only to make them inattentive to just turn arround in an instant and kill them easier, because they dont expect somehting like this. its called tactical gameplay.. make the enemy waste cd only to reengage in my favour and its noobish to fight a “deaths match” if you know you gonna die or to die when you know you can run away… well there are different ways to run away.. to run away to not fight or to run away for my reasons.. when you say running away is lose hell how often i have won against thiefs which use shadow refuges (which kinda is running away).. but i dont consider it as lose or win

I understand you may want to have the last word, but as you well know, and choose to deviate from, is that I’m not talking about a ‘tactical retreat’ ( and please don’t be so god kitten patronising) but a run with the tail between your legs cause you ’can’t win’ as you mentioned in your post. That’s like losing, specially since you have a such high opinion of your skills. (Which I don’t deny, but the ‘look at me, I’m better than you’ always has tons of issues as you scratch the skin of it).

My last word wasting paragraph on the matter, I’ll take my reads to my own matchup thread.

Because respawning and paying 3s is such a hardship???

By building in easy runaway mechanisms into your set up/build surely you never intend to fully commit to a fight that is 50/50. So your strategy is to run away from most fights. Kind of defeats the object of getting into a fight in the first place.

I wish there was some equalisation of movement skills and especially stability in the game then people would have to learn how to play outside of their 3 button iwin combo.

yes because most fights are like 1 vs 5 i rarely run from 1v1 or 1v2… so you say warrior is op? rofl made my day and what do you mean with 50/50? i rarely have 50/50% chance of winning its most timr something like 100%

Wow, you must be a thrill at parties… So if you see you cannot win a duel, you use a “tactical retreat”? So when you run away like a sissy, you consider it a win? A draw? I am truely intrigued by your logic. Please share your views on this.

Also, calling builds that your overwhelming skill level can’t beat cheesy? Should we all just /w you and ask what builds you can beat, so we can stop being cheesy?

What can i say about this matchup……. Really impressed with how organised the AM blob is, i hear that a massive amount of it is on a public Voip which is very impressive as we can barely get 10 pugs in a borderland channel lol.
Sadly as DZ are a much weaker server than us both AM are going to focus the kitten out of us this week and there is little we can do about it without a 3rd server that can fight back as well.
I think a previous comment is correct though, with your numbers you should be much higher in rank, but the Blob mentality you guys have really lowers your skill level, when we blobbed you guys back last night with TEO and PRXM it was incredibly easy to wipe you even though you guys still had the edge on numbers.
Offpeak we can do nothing against the mono blob other than swap towers and keeps with you. AM is my least favourite server to fight against, i think a lot of GH forgot what you were like as its been a while since we last met but i remember the blobs lol. Really takes the fun out of WvW for me unless its primetime, but im sure you guys are proud that you have that effect on players.

i actually got my only duel loss (against warrior) against a gs / hammer zerker without poison, because hard cc is much more effective vs my build then poison as it shuts down the healing signet which poison only does 33% and is quite instantly removed by me, or even converted into regeneration. why you cant beat me? because your build is a 1 trick pony to kill upscaleds and squishis and you lack the understanding of your own class to know how to counter me even though you had the right tools equipped. dodging asura skull cracks is another story, but you see: even without dodging your combo i won every encounter and you ran to your towers teleport (i dont call that a tactical retreat, a tactical retreat is when you mean to return). so just some friendly advice: try some real dueling in spvp (or against good players in wvw), dont just say “i cant do this with my build” (and if thats really the case, change it) when your 1 trick doesnt work out, and learn about all weakness and strength of your class against all enemies, because you wont get that kind of training from killing baddies in wvw, its nothing special, 95% of the people in wvw are a free kill for a player with some understanding of their class, proper gear and a bit of duel practice, aswell a proper build with a variety of tools and no gaping weaknesses (which is condi removal an sustain in your build for example).

because its so skillfull to facetank my dmg with ease steelo yeah .. you dont know what build i run you dont know what build he run so get over it that you cant play. we only fought 2 times in like 5 minutes. was first time i encountered condi warrior.. well should i take next time my regen condi ranger and facetank your dmg with easy and kill you with one hand? would you say thats skillfull? and as i said i had a hammer /gs build i hadnt my gs mace/shield build even i tried it one time with mace shield. with my standard build dmg would be 15% higher and does enough dmg to killl tanky signet warriors
but its ok wouldnt be good to beat everyone of you and demoralize dzago and gunnar to much even they probably are

and my build isnt a duel build. if you fought a warrior who had a duel build pre arranged thats a whole different story then fighting my build.. my build is about kill them fast and gtfo fast because killing ppl fast in wvw is important. if you cant kill them ok happens. but you can see if somebody is good or not even if he wins or lose. the kind he plays how he uses dodges how he uses the abilities he has etc

and i dont do duells normaly i dont fight this long and just go away because it was ultra boring.. and i dotn duel because regen ranger is boring to play

and now think about it if its a good thing when it takes you 10+ minutes to kill a warrior who is running full zerker gear

and i always jump when the time is boring had nothing to do with you.. if i wanted to insult you in wvw i would have lied down next to you or using /dance on you

I’m not a fan of large blobby fights but the ones against AM have been pretty enjoyable. Their numbers are crazy and fighting them outside of prime-time can be frustrating. However i can’t help but respect the discipline and coordination it takes to get such a large group working together as one. Anyway, here’s some RAGE footage from reset night for those interested.

We’re still looking for a GvG or two. Ranked or unranked is fine, we’ve not had one in a while and it would be nice to shake off the cobwebs and get some practice in.

the zerg you had at ~11pm on GH was frightening. Finally a commander that figured out that you only need autowalk, autoattack and autoloot. God help us all!

then let me give you a small hint there, you can solo with AM from 8-18h during weekdays, then the larger guilds are popping up. Biggest number our gild runs is 10 ppl at once twice a week, so we’re still small scale, i cannot speak for other players on our sever.

then you still run over soloers or small man groups with close to 30 people…so seriously, with all due respect, go play in a blender please…

well, what i did today for example was defending my spawntower (to the east) solo first, then as a two man ele/thief setup. after losing spawn and enjoying gunnars dancing on my dead twig body, we finally ended up zerging around for fun and trolling 5vs15 in front of our own spawntower, (edit: to clarify things: we were 5, gunnars were ~10-15 and they were sitting ducks inside our own tower) while getting shot by at least 3 arrow carts. still got a nice load of kills, though there was one warrior from LEV (i think) who was pretty good. props to this one! except for dancing on my body, that wasn’t nice.

the rest of the time, i tried soloing with gunnars, they usually ran and came back with 3 more to beat the crap outta me. well played.

i rest my case with this statement, since i’m not responsible for what the rest of my server is doing. thanks for the attention.

I think the main issue is that solo roamers / small groups don’t play on their own borderland. I’m a solo/small group roamer but im always on one of the enemy borderlands where I can flip camps and occasionally ninja a tower.

It’s more effective to run in a big group as a defender to cap things back fast as possible and I see this on your borderland too so it’s not a Gunnar’s issue only.

TLDR; You roam on our bl and our roamers run around on yours or dzags borderland.

and to make it fun right back at you i see the same tendensy at your server so if some from gunners does that not my problem as i normally run in a small groupe or alone(small groupe is up to 10)

i will certainly answer those questions, but i guess not to your liking:

ad1: yes, there are two gunnars on the screen but only one is/was dancing on my body

ad2: we were 2 defending, the thief and me, as elementalist. the third, the necromancer was trying to get to us from spawn and just arrived after the tower fell.

the picture itself shows the warrior who was about the only one fighting inside and in front of the tower as well.

AM, I mean seriously, no wonder you got your nickname. Just been running about solo and fortunately found about 3 separate AM players running round on our borderland solo, each time I ran after them to engage them and they just run away.

One of them even met up with two others and then all 3 of them proceeded to run away from me. I mean seriously!!!!

Another ran straight into a group of 4 more of our players coming out of a supply camp.

It’s been like this all match up, you start a fight with an AM player who disappears running off over the horizon and two seconds later he reappears with about 20 other players.

You do realise you have more skills than just ‘1’ and if you didn’t run in a blob you can use some of them, I mean you could live on the edge and try pressing ‘2’ now and again!!
