And also what TheGreatA and Dranul said, most people have given up on the point game as you are just wasting the money you gain in the game. Dont think AG got 1 single guild that fuel more then 10 people daily that play’s the point game anymore :P

AG has very high population, so does Underworld, neither are exactly top tier servers.

Only WvW population matters, and the points as we have learned are nothing but a reflection on who has the most coverage 24/7 in World vs World.

If AG suddenly comes back and wins this match, it would only mean that they were able to put out more players on the field than the other servers for the remaining week. That’s about it. It would not mean that we are the best ever, it would only mean that we happened to zerg more than the other team did for a more sustained period of time.

Anybody who played against Vizunah will know what it would be like if we were able to rally all of our PvE champ farmers into WvW to fight for “the realm”.

I understand what you are trying to say guys and by no means i am boasting about ppt, that is something i want to make clear.

I think most of our guilds are more in favor of open field battles and that is what makes this a very good and funny week despite the score.

As far as i know INC are on a vacation trip to GH but i could be wrong.

Last, Gunnars was never a bandwagon server and most of the people you’ve seen at the battlefield are together for a very very long time.

I perfectly agree with you mate, it is just a matter of coverage and the effort a server puts to win a matchup that is all.

I didn’t mean that the guilds you have now are bandwagon Genotix, I ment in the past years. When u lost like 4-7 guilds to Blacktide^^ And we lost the same amount to SFR almost :P
And I didnt know INC was only on a vacation, just assumed so as there hadn’t been any vacation post on the forum^^ not that they have to tell everyone that though :P

Nice to see we have some PPT trolls on matchup threads as always. AG guilds have been involved in GvGs, AG recently lost a guild and AG population is heavy PVE (dragons). So for a server that’s got how many new guilds? To sit there and comment on “performing badly?” in what sense do you mean. 100-150 ppt in primetime, dude a lot of people stopped playing PPT back in 2012.

Had an epic time tonight thanks to all the guilds and zergs we banged heads against.

I meant both what Geno said (there is a HUGE skill gap between Kodash roamers and AG roamers, no offense), and that you are performing poorly in terms of points, yes.
I am not really fond of points – I am not the kind of guy who “fights” for them, as I mostly roam and the only help I provide to my server, aside from what roamers usually do (camps, sentries, dollys), is a good deal of scouting.
I can’t remember how many times I rushed to teamspeak tonight, or whispered to the main commander, just to say “we need help in defending Veloka!”. I am really proud to say that I have yet to see either AG or Kodash take an objective we are “really” trying to defend.

I don’t care about defending a paper objective, but I do try my best to defend a t3 tower/keep.
So, while I don’t play for points, I think that points are a good indicator of how a server is performing (overall).
If a server’s guilds only GvG, even if they win all their matches, if they not contribute to their server PPT, I would still say that said server is “performing poorly”.
Keep in mind that I am saying this only because we are currently ranked above you: if things were to change, I wouldn’t say this at all

Let’s just say that, at first, I thought we would have lost this matchup really badly, scoring something about 150k points if we were lucky. That’s why, IMHO, and to me alone, you are performing badly

Anyway, if it makes you feel better, let’s just say that you are performing “below my expectations”. I think that should be fair enough

P.S.: I am, by no means, a troll.

I do believe this is one of the most balanced matchups i have played. It is extremely rare for all the 3 servers to be so close, so i don’t think anyone is doing “good” or “bad”.

I also see a lot of gvg going on so all the people should be content at least

Even though i like to defend it is good to see both our opponent servers not turtling inside keeps with 40 acs.
We have many sad experiences lately, where the moment you approach a keep you get welcomed by trillions of arrows.
Overall even though we are exactly in the middle of the week i can safely say that this is a good matchup with good attitude by both our opponents.

Well atm, all servers in rank 10-15/16 in the EU are pretty much equal, not much difference during primetime for them, it all comes down to off-team presence. Who got the bigges night crew and morning crew. Atm AG don’t have ny of them, Kodash seem to have the biggest morning and day crew, while GH and the biggest night crew.

Not sure if it even is the biggest or just most effective, I myself havn’t been able to log into game yet, and can’t get back into WvW before wednesday due to vacation :P

Your night crew is decent as i play during nights and mornings.
What you and us seem to lack is morning crew while Kodash have a strong one. Not as devastating as Millers but quite strong

Yes it seems like we on kodash have a decent morning crew at least compared to GH and Ag. (We had a huge morning raid with 30 to 40 people before alot of guilds left us)
Usually our weakest time is from noon to 5 or 6 pm. Since i play WvW, this didn’t change so i think it is sort of #justagermanthing.
Fights are really great i can’t tell when i had that much fun in a matchup ever before.
Especially our new guilds that joined us have a huge potential to ignite the flame in alot of kodashis that felt that WvW became boring within the last 3 to 4 months.
Really enjoyed the community raids with the leaders from [BAN] and the welcome raid yesterday from DSV.
As the only oppurtunity to raid with DSV was only half an hour yesterday i can’t say much but [BAN] commanders even managed to tame the beast that is called kodash public zerg. Couldn’t believe that we had a chance in fights against guild raids of the same size. They have a totally different lead style to what we normally have on kodash. And even if it seems that this style doesn’t fit kodash it is more likely that alot of people missed that kind of playstyle. (We probabaly didn’t knew that we missed it until now ) Very aggressiv, fast and always till the last person dies no matter how many opponents. Even a whipe brings a smile on my face because it felt so great that all people really work together instead of forming formation spray sausage and run around like headless chicken.
Hell, they even managed to bring the joy of smallscale fights to a skillbob like i am one.

So i am really happy about the matchup and have alot of fun and want to say welcome and thank you to all the guilds that joined us.

Thanks for kind words for my server and as i said before this is a good and fun week with close scores and lots of gvg so everybody should be happy.
Aurora and Kodash are more than worthy opponents and that is what makes this week good.

I must say I am greatly disappointed by the lack of drama and forum-eviscerates this week. I’ve only been ganked by a 5man Team super-group once and had my fair share of cross server roleplay and solo + guild funzies.
Hoping for an opponent with lower average IQ representation on forums to keep me entertained while I can’t play.

Haha! And you still haven’t met the new Dire Stat LB Warriors! Met one yesterday, my backstabs critted him for 3.5k, couldn’t believe it. I just had to leave, nothing for me to do there despite being quite durable against condition myself he still hit like a truck.

Think I did – but they were never alone but ran with other condition heavy specs (condi necro, another LB warrior, scepter condi eles, troll staff mesmers, …).

I think the fact that there are so many ways to remove conditions (personal combined with group..everyone has at least one way to remove them) makes this a moot point. Those necro’s who’ve built a decent stack of cond’s ready to use epidemic just to see them disappear will agree with me

I will agree that 1v1 cond necro’s are very strong as there are very few classes that can remove multiple conds multiple times, but we can’t reset a fight or run away. (spec dependant ofc) You could always build more vitality into gear too, helps a bit

Had a brilliant night roaming tonight, lots of great fights.. including a few downers. Like an even fight with a good sized group.. then a zerg from there guild join in and ruin the fight.

This guy did it before he died though, and I had got him down to 50% after 5sec… gotta say I’m dissapointed in people who actually do ALT-F4, as I see it as a minor cheat.
And to do ALT-F4 just to stop someone from gaining 1-3 points, that’s just very low from that individual. And then I’m speaking about generally

Anyone with a bad case of ALT+F4 should go to SFR for a week, I’m sure you’ll lose that habbit quickly.

I done it once, didn’t even mean to.. was just a reflex because I got kitten ed at the way I died (can’t remember but I’m pretty sure it was a horrible way to die o.o) and it took me a HOUR to get back into WvW. ;D

So if you got an extra 60G somewhere and want to cure your habbit >>>>

Well, I don’t know why the devs didn’t see it coming that people would just alt+F4 to deny points from stomping. Logging out should just instantly award the player downing that person with the points for its server.

Anyway, the matchup has been great, fun fights to be found everywhere, small or large scale. Looking forward to our GvG tonight as well
