Let’s get this done anet. Last format MOS basically told us next weeks matchups. So its not like its anything new.

I think we should know before the matchups reset to be able to gameplan for the reset. Currently there is no effective way to gameplan because you don’t know who you are facing.

Bottom line is this greatly favors zerg servers since tactical over performing servers generally need the info to position their troops effectively

Nah i quite like the current system, theirs something about sitting in a massive 100+ man teamspeak party with your server mates and all speculating on who you’re vsing once reset kicks in everybodies like ERMAGARD who are we vsing. Once you notice it’s Tarnished Coast and Fort Aspenwood everybody goes dead silent for like 1 minute. Then theirs the one guy who starts cracking up laughing and everybody follows suit and just starts laughing hysterically like “we’re screwed”. I like that =)

How HoD does reset… ~Crosses fingers~ GoM and NSP, GoM and NSP, We will take DR, ET, FC, hell SF again will work… Annnnndddd Boris Pass!! Who are they? T5…. well kitten. And that sums up our TS. But we have fun I like coming back from work not knowing who we are going to be matched up against. Last week someone did the math for us we had like a 5% chance to get SF or something? So im assuming BP was like a -1% chance. Its entertaining and in no way turning off the lower servers at least not HoD.

the chances of HoD+BP+DR getting matched up were something like one half of one percent. congratulations.

We know we will be rolled, but we just didn’t know how badly haha!

In another note – Should we designate a particular person to do the early match reporting?

Try being the server that TC and FA smoked the week before last and going against JQ and BG this week….

Can’t you just do the rolls 1 hour before reset and then posted them immediately? That way at least people can organise themselves a bit better. Because the matchups are so very random right now, that last hour of play won’t be able to make a big enough dent in the rating to change a possible matchup.

Please Anet, 1 hour for opponents AND colours. That’s not a lot to ask for.

This may sound ignorant, but how does knowing which server you face beforehand help you organise? Is it because some servers/guilds do the same thing every reset and so you want to counter that? Honest question, I’m not part of anything organised for WvW myself so I’m curious. :>

Mainly borderlands allocation, usually you play to your enemies strengths weaknesses etc

For example my server is low NA, heavy oceanic, decent SEA and average EU

Server A is heavy NA but next to nothing off hours

Server B is decent NA and Decent off hours

we would allocate more guilds to server B during NA time and more guilds to server A during oceanic time to maximise ppt gain.

Okay, that makes sense. But that could be done after the week starts no? Appreciate the answer! Always interesting seeing how things are done elsewhere. :>

It is also important becaus you want to know what BL you are going to. Playing your own BL is not the same as being on the attacking side. Even playing for your own Bay or your own Hills is different.

At least all of our teamspeaks sound the same….

We loaded into Red “oh cool it’s home BL!” hits B.. “oh crap we are in home BL..”
