After the busy matchup thread last week a quiet one isn’t so bad 10/10.

Still no other posts here?

Anyway, another night with good fights. TSO fought various enemies in Dz border, the guilds that come to mind being DeX and Wolf. Fair play to the RoS that killed us a few times outside Redbriar but we got our own back soon after
I love that Dz felt the need to send 30 people to take back bay from the 4 of us who took it, but that’s your prerogative.

Hopefully the nice fights (and competitiveness of the matchup for that mater) continue.

It was a fun reset night. We had a lot of people fighting and some new commanders tried it as well. It is always good to see RoS again and Riot and Velocity are cool guilds to fight against. It is nice to see Whiteside Ridge put up a real fight as well. So far I really liked it even if it was zerging most of the time.I know this will be an even matchup witch a lot of small scall fights as well when the working week begins. So good luck to you all and I hope we’ll all have fun

Let us just hope the the amount of placed acs and ballistas will not be this high the whole week, its a bit rediculous when the server with the bigger zerg runs away from a small group to fight them with sup acs on open ground… maybe those who did know what i mean

Dear WSR and DZ, Try Splitting up a little…

It’s nice wiping your server blobs, But it’s not very entertaining.

DZ sure knows how to blob, did not see many big WSR groups but dex does not play on eb and we did not attack you so far. Anyways nice match up so far even though we had a really bad start. ^.^
Btw DZ at bay was that srs just now? xD you outnumbered us 5 to 1 and portaled slowly in and even got up counter acs, not even mentioning that you treb wooden bay against nearly no enemys in the first time, for inner ok but one good push would have had the same effect. I hope you had as much fun as we had .

I can understand why they’re frustrated about blobbing. If you constantly fight groups twice your size you sometimes just want to see some fair even-numbered battles…
I mean how hard is it to just pop 2 tags or run with 1 guild group and 1 pug zerg in a border, rather then just grouping every single player together?

Good thing is that this match at least has some solo roamers, I like it.

I don’t get the point of solo roaming myself, I play sPvP, Why would i want to face people who are probley running group specs or spend god knows how long to find a person who isn’t running in a group.

It’s even more pointless now with the improvements to sPvP.

WvW should be more about organised guilds fighting (Pug Zerg are expected), It’s been nice to see Hot are still about, Only guild i’ve seen atually run by themselves and not run into a tower.

Saying that, This matchup is x10 better than last week, UW were a big disapointent with just server zergs 24/7.

The problem I have with Spvp is that it’s not actually pvp at all.
The point is to stand on a point. If they release different game types I’ll do more spvp but I refuse to play it in it’s current state where knocking people back is more effective then killing them point-wise.
That said I do agree with you for the most part. Zergs and other large organized groups are what decides the outcome of WvW, it’s what WvW was made for.
However for camp capping, dolly hunting, scouting and countering all these activities for the enemy, you are better off with smaller groups or solo play.
Also roaming is like hunting, you can stalk your prey and kill him if you’re good enough. Or sometimes you’re lured into a trap and have to use all kinds of tricks to escape.

You know exactly that we dont complain about 30 man groups but tbh when i command dex i usually have at max 25 people following me, when we have more we try to split forces or people do it on their own. Compared to some of the 70 man blobs we saw, fighting with 25 is “small scale” fighting. Anyways im enjoying this matchup so far, we are not outmanned on 3 of 4 maps all day long.

What on earth got into Dzagonur tonight? I think we wiped more than 20 omega golems in 4 hours on RoS and EB bl, jesus.

I dont know how many omegas were in EB but we killed 15-17 in RoS.

They got tactics from the germans. Dat ac’s and ballistas. I think you overdo it a bit!
And when you attack our tower dont run away the moment you see our people, you had equal numbers at quentin. Anyways had some good fights, i dont think you can complain about our numbers…

I thought I’d never see the day when someone spams up more ACs than arborstone. Great defending at hills, RoS!

Haha, you took out so many AC’s with Dragon’s Tooth, that for a time we stopped building them. After that we only had 1 at a time, our main defence are the Trebs in Hills!
How many pieces of siege have you placed yet to get to inner? :P
We wont make it easy for you!
Also you started with placing acs in our towers (lake and briar) and you overdo it with that, now we do the same in your keep. We can not have a zerg in every borderland at every time so we have to protect with AC’s against you.
I really hope you checked our supplys at every fight and saw that we had more after every push you made.
I wish everyone luck and fun in getting back your hills, we atleast have fun there so far.

I really have to say WSR-guilds get better in fighting! Good job from what i see makes this match up enjoyable for us though you also know how to blob ^.^

To that wsr ranger from fhtb: if I downed u and then let u get up and goin` on my way it means I don`t wanna fight and kill you. Not coming back with 2 more and kill me. Just a bit of common sense after all.

Enjoyable raid tonight with WBC, also a weird SM flip of 2k supped.

I don’t really care if this is intended or not, but it should most certainly not be possible.

Why not? you can use AC’s to shoot outside the walls, why shouldn’t you be able to use the little gap above the door to shoot inside the walls?

Because the current system already heavily favors the attacker while it should be the other way around.

I find that defending is way too easy. Specially in hills.

Totally agree to that, we would still have WSR hills if there would have been more defenders than me, we had the siege to get you at the outer gate.
Problem was, you maybe saw that, that we had a few fails at some time today and all just went away from WvW.

Just to point out why defending is way too easy once more.
Yesterday we hold hills during the whole prime time without
using any hills supplies with 5 people, we only called for a zerg
two times when you broke through outer.
And also i would not complain about the AC’s from the outside,
your server uses them aswell and i think Dragon’s Tooth is about
what you should complain because it hits without Line of Sight.

Sorry @ the 2 DeX on RoS border i fought until now. Need to go to work :/ But i don’t really think you would have ever been able to kill me anyway.

DeX is very grateful for the gvg against [Hot], even though you totally slapped our kitten.
It was the first time we tried to fight in a gvg like this so pls dont judge us too harshly.
I hope you had at least some fun and if not you got some loot from us ;D.
We had some fun and also now have something to improve on.
