To whom it may concern,

Hi, I am from Yaks Bend, and this is my first forum post; please take it with a grain of salt, like all others. The intent of this posting is to bring up an idea of altering destiny in order to create more “winners” than are currently slated to exist. As it stands, we are securing a tie between Ehmry Bay and Borlis Pass, to end with 21 points each, which would bring them into 4th place; if things go the way they are currently playing out in your matchup. No matter the case Fort Aspenwood is 1st; congrats btw, you guys played awesome. The only reward that I could recommend for them in order to create an atmosphere of contemporary benefit would be to take a week off… As far as Stombluff Isle is concerned, I personally hope all of your hackers and cheats rot in misery for the absolute horror of play that you have brought to the Silver League; that being said, perhaps giving way to Dragonbrand would make up for your lack of sportsmanship.

I am sure by now that those who have continued to read are beginning to understand where I am going with this; those who pay attention to more than the weekly process and the overall ranking point total can go a step further and prove for me if what I am stating would be true. If FA was to be last, SBI second, and DB first; it would bring 6 servers into the trophy level of achievements for the reward chest at the end of the tourney. No matter how you play this week, other than what I recommend; nothing will change in the end game for this first tournament. The alternate end game is: FA and YB tied for 1st, SBI in 2nd (poop), and Dragonbrand, Ehmry Bay, and Borlis Pass 3rd. I guess the only real question is: Do your servers have the capability of curtailing your forces in order to change the fate of other servers?

No. Nobody gives a flying kitten about the achievements. We play WvW the way we play WvW. Red is dead. The last thing we’re going to do is try to fix it so that a bunch of carebears get some pointless reward. I’ll mail whatever I get to someone on EBay for all i care and I wouldn’t doubt there are a lot on FA that feel the same way.

Lmao, good luck trying to explain this viewpoint to someone on YB or EB.

I am having a hard time understanding the hatred people have for other servers. Over the last few months, a bunch of people transferred to my server and a few of them were jerks. It appears the jerks are getting banned as they are being reported. I don’t see that it needs to go further than that.

I believe that throwing a match is against GW2’s user agreement, anyway.

Well, they wouldn’t be throwing anything; if I recall, there is nothing lost by FA; only stuff to be gained by everyone else. None of this up to this point was “coordinated”, and I doubt you could get FA, or SBI to actually stop themselves in order to accomplish any goal. I also can’t find where not playing for a week in WvW is against the EULA. Consider this an act of social engineering in an MMO; can we really be nice and share while still carrying through with the spirit of competition?

I really feel for you when you are ganged up on over and over now that Pandora’s box has been breached. We use to hold the red your dead mentality when we had double pop over the other forces on Percivul… After month 4 we never won again; 2 against 1 sucks. I would get in the spirit of the season, give thanks for what you have, and be charitable to others in need. Not caring for others is a sign of what?

Apologies, I could have worded things more clearly. “Throwing” a match/game is a term used in sports to mean intentionally losing, usually because someone is paying you a lot of money so that he can place massive bets on the other team with 100% confidence.

So I used the term to mean “intentionally losing,” which I believe is what you’re suggesting. Intentionally dying in sPvP in skyhammer (a map that allowed people to gain glory ranks very quickly by suiciding over and over) was frowned upon heavily. I can’t remember if people got banned for it or not, but I seem to recall devs saying that intentionally losing/dying was against the agreement. I…am afraid I don’t really want to look it up…

It would be cool if things ended with extra winners, but it would need to happen naturally.

teaming up in a match just sick in my stomach.. but i know its just make truly what the war it is all about.. “coalition and alliance” in a game..

I think this is a really cool insight into the points. It would be pretty funny if more than three servers were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. But….. SBI IS GOING DOWN!!!

Oh and just so you know, no servers approve of hackers or griefers. There were ppl on YB doing the same thing to us, on top of the perma 2v1ing

So, wait, SBI is full of hackers? Really? I’ve gotten over 100 battle ranks in this league and I haven’t seen it once. The only actual hacker I’ve seen was a Mesmer from… I can’t even recall now….. an up-level exploiting over walls in bay over and over.

I mean, I know YB has a huge hate-kitten for us, but do try not to get so into your own rhetoric and post some proof.
