Look at the score. SoR did an amazing job of closing the gap today…. actually upon looking at the score it seems not much ground was covered, but still, ticking higher than JQ for basically all day long isnt anything to sneeze at.

JQ and TC and somewhat BG all have a problem of people showing up on PvE patch days. SoR doesn’t because they’re all baby eating wvw only people.

Lost a kittenload of respect for JQ today, namely [SG]. STUN and RET actually ended up having to abandon the new GvG arena because we had a bunch of SG guildies jumping into every round, and harrasing our stacks before it had even started.

I guess we have to stick with the windmill because people can’t grow the kitten up.

Ok, personally, I would never interrupt a GvG myself, but does it really seem like such a good idea to immediately go GvG in the absolutely brand new arena, open to the public? Even if it wasn’t SG, you know you would likely have random PuGs running in and messing with the match simply because it’s new content.

Why not wait a little for it to cool down, wait for people to get bored of the new zone, and then schedule your GvGs? Not meant to be trolling at all, just a bit of friendly advice.

Edit: Just as an aside, I’m not defending SG here, I don’t agree with what they did at all.

We did it just to test it out and see how it worked. The arena itself was good. The area to move around was wonderful. The adds not so much but we expected that abit. One can always hope.

Great fights with STUN tonight though. RET is hard at work already looking to improve and work out kinks and builds and get back into the flow of things since it’s been so long. Thanks for the scrimmage tonight and hope to fight you again.

We all enjoyed it very much even the ones we lost. I realized some stuff I need to work on myself.

It was our first GvG, so we were also mainly looking to improve. Turned out to be a kitten good match-up. I’m sure we’ll see you in the field again, and hopefully we get a chance to properly use the GvG arena some time.

Also a big shout-out to [ONE]. Really strong guild, I have a lot of respect for you guys.

Thanks for sticking around after fighting RET. Yeah…. , we remember our first GvG too. It was against EP and we got spanked lol. Keep on improving and hope to see you on battlefield soon. Was a good fight!

Actually TC was +330 – +350 at one point.

My first time commanding in EB on the side of TC came after chu went to attack borderlands. I asked if I could tag up but for some reason our server VoIP didnt register me on EB, so I commanded through all the in-game chats.

Took SM with 20 – 25 people with +5 supply buff and 5 RAMs very quickly after wall went down, then I chose to not take QL, because I knew it was attached closer to JQ territory and they really needed that tower. Instead we kept on taking Bravost with the occasional JQ/TC spat at durios. I let JQ take supply at umber without retaking the camp too soon because i knew they wanted to assault a T3 keep. We took the camp to resupply to run our assault against SoRs keep to weaken and set up blockades.

To SoR: Good defense work at your keep for the last few hours. Would have been super boring if you were phased out of the map.

To JQ: I knew you were attacking a T3 keep which is why I passed you by without engaging you. I wanted you to have your shot at it with everyone with you. Should show as a gesture since you had prepared for it before, and we were taking turns.

I apologize and I promise that I won’t do it again. (yes, it was I that ran in there a few times and knocked people down like bowling pins; You guys did kill me good though afterwards, so I call it even)

P.S. it wasn’t a bunch but only 2 or 3 of us, the rest where clones and other Mesmer stuff; there is a way you can tell that but I ain’t telling.

The folks who decided to duel outside of Hills on JQBL around 5-6pm server time on Tuesday: that the kitten were you thinking? I tried to get the zerglings to swing wide around you, but come on… half the time I’m lucky to have 50% of the people in TS or listening to map chat. You had to know that some random chucklehead would break up your party.

All I’m saying is, next time, pick a better gorram place. I might not be so forgiving, in the future.

Thanks to the SoR guilds who kept coming out and fighting us in TCBL. We had some massive open field fights for a long while until SoR left. We then decided to paint JQBL green and had some more massive fights, until we broke WP. HIRE finally put us to bed at SoR inner Garri and thus ended our Tuesday rampage. Thanks to MERC for backup on final bay push.

To the JQ solo roamer at S Camp JQBL about an hour ago that got killed in a 2v1 (sorry, forgot your name already) – I accepted your party invitation to tell you that was some awesome kiting on your part, took us forever to kill you. I even /salute’d after. Not entirely sure why you had to start with the name calling and being mad – I mean, we 2v1’ed you, the logical outcome happened, and you got sent back to spawn. Nothing to be mad about – you played well.

To be blantently honest. ^^ This is what I was thinking.

I mean if half the people read anything about what was going on in all the other servers, they wouldn’t have scheduled the gvg in the new shiny. Every server who tried to have a GvG had to call it off .. because of farmers, duelers, and gankers.

When I logged in and heard about what was going on with my guilds GvG, I had a chuckle knowing it would likely be the case. While the arena looks like it should be death match GvG, it’s a new place for chumps who don’t have much else left to do to go be a jerk. Maybe time will change it, I can’t see guilds actually going in there to farm… if they kind enough to leave the mill alone, why would they waste time in a ppt less scene?

Probably one of the best rangers I’ve ever fought. I was spec’d slightly off for small mans or 1 on 1 but the first fight I had snow lep and Judges. The second fight must of been 10 min or more.

SoR has gained 2000 points against TC in the last 36 hours. At this current rate they’d need at least an extra day to catch up.

This is certainly a lot interesting to watch than my match (12 people take something, 40 BG retake…repeat)

He was very skilled. I’m glad I had that 10min fight with him or such on my ghost tonic guard. I almost had him several times.

2. The focus is ALWAYS 1st on winning the fights, the 2nd priority is winning the ppt. PPT is important but it’s 2nd priority. We will want to win but looking at how EU has evolved, we recognize that some guilds want to focus on winning the fights 1st vs watching objectives/ppt for other time zones and we want to grow that type of community. So yes, we are still looking for guilds to field our time zones that we cannot cover because we want to win but not at the expense of working overtime.

3. I did some checks, the reason why we are gaining PPT is because quite a few of the guys and girls are back from ESO, nothing more.

Fannwong, there are many players playing overtime as well – we see them nightly. Not to discredit your response, your always polite in undermining others and painting a picture.

#3. ESO ended well prior to the ppt change. The difference was not ESO, as ESO beta took away from all 3 servers. So mathematically that would mean each coverage time would influx based on there return, from all 3 servers. Nullifying your ESO statement.

#2. Hard time believing this the way SoR map movement and strikes show. I see more JQ fighting us while SoR back capping then other way. No bad idea, smart… but often see ppt play every day. Nothing to be shameful for, in fact TC trying to improve ours while we grow our server knowledge, so any tips is appreciated.

#1. No server likes to work over time. We appreciate the effort everyone has been putting in including enemy, and I see many guilds on pulling hours this week from all servers. The battles are good, there is no excuse, and all servers are playing long hours. Whether admitting it or not, that is your choice. What we see in game tells other story.

You are always polite, TC looking to grow in our weaker time zones too, while improving overall WvW. We have been trying to learn from T1 servers, and information share for long time, but we never want to lose who we are … the fun server, you all respect. As we to you.

Be careful about confirmation bias. FW is a pretty reliable person for a neutral standpoint.

I’m sure BG and JQ have guilds that are “all about the fights”, but chances are one server or the other will tend to have commanders that focus more on “taking easy objectives” for PPT than others. SoR just happens to have a few less of those guys than server x or y at certain times of day, just like pretty much any other server.

Exactly, dont you know, they’re going to pull more 15+ hour shifts to catch up, then brag about beating a T2 server at the end of the week like they’ve been known to do in the past…. or maybe SoR’s a changed server, which would be awfully nice, and appreciates how actually close this matchup has been.

Are you sure? SoR is (generally speaking) not known to pull off crazy hours. The server known to pull off crazy hours is BG because their primary goal is to win. SoR has always been more about fights, rather than winning.

This old line again? Look, I respect SoR as a server, I really do. You guys rose up from a lower tier and have been excellent competition over the past 6 months of coverage wars and other BS between the big 3.

However, SoR is like any other T1 server in that you really want to win, if you didn’t want to win, you wouldn’t be in T1. That’s not a bad thing by any means, but stop trying to pull the moral superiority card every time your server is having issues.

If what you say is true (which it isn’t), then what happened to your server since the league began would not have happened. This includes the in-fighting prior to the leagues.
