Why are you guys making it hard to move up a tier?

Wait….You transferred to the Green high population server in a pairing with a 150+ people?

If this were 5 months ago when we were #1 in Tier 1, your logic would make a shred of sense.
However, we are the number 10 server now and will soon move up to Tier 3 (even sooner now with the generous assistance of our welcome transfers). As the matchup stands right now, CD and SBI will never beat SoS with our numerical superiority in Oceanic players.
If nothing else you should be hoping that we get many more transfers so that we move on and don’t drop back down when we do go.

If nothing else, you should REALLY be encouraging people (from other servers you are not likely to be facing) to transfer to us because with next week’s change to the rating system. You’ll be facing us every other week, with a more dynamic system like they are promising, unless we are able to fight at parity with YB and Mag.

In return, we’ll work hard to make sure YB goes down here, and you can face a pure NA server, and find a whole new set of excuses to lose; or pick yourselves up and beat them.

Its how you win in Recruiting Wars 2 Xsorus. Overwhelm them with numbers and SoS have been recruiting pretty hard for some NA guilds. What was getting dreadful in tier 5 btw? I am seriously curious. BP is a steady 2nd place in that tier and SBI might be heading there soon.

Furthermore, why would you transfer 150+ players with the May 28th update coming? We don’t know what changes are incoming and moving that many people with a potentially big shift in scoring and weekly match ups seems pretty reckless.

I don’t think you quite understand the World vs World system, whoever you knock down is going to be as equally overpopulated as SoS was in this Tier, Nothing will be changing for the other 2 servers in this Tier if you get more players, The only thing that will be changing is who is sitting in green’s shoes…

So you’re actually not doing this tier any favors what so ever other then making it more unbalanced by having more servers with a certain population level when only 3 can fit in that grouping.

For instance, Lets say you have 6 Servers, 2 servers with 250 people each, 1 with 450 each, and 3 with 600 each.

Having the 1 with 450 get an extra 150 people and become 600 people doesn’t help the issue at all, It only makes the issue worse, So now we have 4 Servers trying for a spot of 3 openings.

It would of been better off transferring to CD or SBI and increasing the competition.

Hopefully the new ranking system though fixes this issue…Though I doubt it, But don’t pretend you did anything remotely useful for this tier, other then making yourself look sad.

None of this bickering over server transfers will matter next week.

Oh, so we should help y’all recruit? I’m sure Stormbluff Isle and Crystal Desert will get right on that, especially with the sentiment of your last sentence.

I’m speaking just for myself here – I want Sea of Sorrows out of the tier more than most, but I’m definitely not interested in actively participating in recruiting more guilds for your server. I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone on another server willing to dedicate time and / or resources to helping you recruit when past tier 4 match up threads have been plagued with Azure Prower’s troll-rific screenshots of Oceanic domination, even if the guilds requested are for North American time coverage.

If the options are to spend time helping recruit guilds for another server, not play at all, or continue playing as normal, the latter two are definitely better options from my point of view.

Biggest complain SBI/CD have is our oceanic coverage. Yaks/Mag don’t have the oceanix we do imo so it will be better competition because matchup won’t be decided by coverage but fights during NA. SoS needs the NA to move up and be somewhat competitive in T3. So if we swap places with Yaks it will be better. KN will be same as SoS because they will just roll you with their SEA/Oceanic, unless EB comes up because they might offset KN oceanix and give the 3rd server in T4 a more balanced matchup. All of this doesn’t matter because we don’t know how the new matchups will be decided so bleh.

Looks like Cd isn’t the only one to get a guild transfer yesterday. ORL from BP has began the process of transferring members to SoS just last night, although we don’t have the 300+ that KWBH has, we should be looking at 150+ coming in the next few days. We look forward to fighting KWBH and the other servers during NA primetime. Once again thanks to the SoS community for being so welcoming, we also enjoy the 3 servers unique play styles! You all have definitely brought our interest back into WvW as it was getting dreadful in tier 5. Best wishes to all servers involved in this tier gl and have fun!

You realize how pathetic that makes you look as a guild right?

The main reason for them moving was that they liked the community that much. They’re aware that we’re quite likely moving up to T3 though, where we sure as heck aren’t going to have an easy time.

Oh, not to mention they’re an NA guild, where we don’t have an easy time as it is.

1) If SoS goes up, EBay is also likely to replace SBI in T4 (given the current ratings gaps).

2) Yeah, would be nice to have some fresh faces at fight night tonight.

I personally think that CD and/or SBI would welcome the idea of YB dropping down.

Don’t get me wrong, it would be far from PvDoor; but their beleaguered OCX/SEA population would finally get a breather; and your victories would be much more meaningful because you are fighting them at their strongest when (most of) you are on.

I’m sure EB, CD/SBI, and YB would mean that they would be in the middle of a NA pain sandwich; but at least you won’t be losing simply because you require sleep.

The worst that can happen is that EB is stronger than either of you and we are stronger than KN and YB, resulting in one of you always being green and red, and one of you permastuck as Blue in T5 for no fault of your own.

Please no more complaining about transfers to SoS. They moved because they wanted to, it is none of the rest of our’s business… the complaining just looks sad

Ugh. Yes… so many people getting skill points and moaning about map completion on CD too.

Currently a number of WvWvWers are either raising alts, doing southsun or a combination of the two. All three servers likely experience the “team” doing some odd things rather than following commanders instructions. At least they turned up.

PvPers adapt, it is who we are and for many of us, unexpected human behaviour trumps facing predictable AI.

Been distracted with southsun among other things. Try to get in wvw when I can. Been seeing some strong resistance on all sides depending on the time of day except oceanic time when SoS rolls every one over.

yes. CD and SoS are SOO good that we avoid each other and pick on poor old SBI. every time we wipe SBI we both go have a party near the dredge/hyleks depending on what CD. Someone get this guy the memo please.

That was an example of one possible outcome, the new system incorporates a random variable into the ranking calculation so you cannot predict who you will be fighting next week.

CD and SBI, you continue to impress and surprise. It’s pretty much a forgone conclusion at this point that today will be the start of our last matchup for at least a little while. The new system leaves some confusion as to how things will proceed, but it’s a fair bet that we will go up and the loser of this match will go down.

The keys to CD’s success always lie in it’s participation. When they are on, they are a force to be reckoned with.

SBI, it’s been great to face you guys again; though both our servers look a lot different from when we were both the best in NA WvW. I hope that your fortunes improve and that you are able to forge a new WvW core that will grow and become the backbone of a renewed server.

Thank you both for continuing to bring a good fight, in spite of a lopsided score due to coverage differences.
I hope that SBI takes T5 to the woodshed, and that CD seizes the opportunity to take T4 (YB needs to be taken down a notch).

Anyone know the names of [RES] guild leaders? It’s an SoS guild. Need to let them know there’s a cheater in their guild that I hope they can deal with.

I thought the main core of [RES]Resonance is in BG. What are they doing on our server?

I think “The Mist Explorer” is one commander in RES, you can try him. I don’t know who the guild leaders are though.

Edit: They aren’t BG… they’re ours. They have 400 odd members mostly in PvE.
