Seeing as everyone else has a thread, I thought we should have one!

Who do you think is going to win bronze league? who do you think are the biggest contenders for the top 3 spot? will be interesting to see RoS new strength with their recent transfers, maybe they have enough to even win it?

once all the PVE heroes come out of their caves and strengthen servers numbers to get their sweet achieves, its going to be a tough call.

I hope for RoF but I know it will be Drakkars who will win. Seems like they were tanking matchups and now they are more active than in previous 3 weeks.

They are probably only just recovering from the loss of most of their WvW guilds. or have been hiding their real strength to roflstomp everyone in the leagues :P

I thought Underworld were trying to tank there way into our league I think there is only about 20k between them at the moment.

RoS will win, another few big WvW guilds just moved there judging by the tags I’ve seen tonight.

RoS will definately will the bronze league, think they got 6 new WvW guilds, which atleast 1 of them almost brings a 24/7 coverage of 10-50 players.

24/7 coverage of 10-50 people? That is crazy for bronze league and if it true it will all come down to if Surmia can hold the german onslaught at prime time and early morning.
I do believe Drakkar Lake will win though even if i am rooting for RoF

Where is this aversion for german servers coming from? (FYI there are not only germans on this servers…)

OT: Drakkar previously lost a lot of WvW oriented guilds to other servers and is recuperating. Therefore the accusation of tanking is a bit harsh.
And for the german onslaught during primetime, this isn’t really a choice we have, we all play during 1 timezone while most of us have similar work or school schedules. Even we have to win our points during our playtime.

Can anyone list all the servers in the bronze league? And to coin a phrase ‘lets not count our chickens before they hatch’. Hopefully ros has a chance of winning. If you win the bronze league do you head up to silver? (have not read up on this) as it looks like certain silver league servers are having trouble too with gap’s in numbers so many of their matches could be one sided.

I didn’t say anything bad about Drakkar mate.
I just i believe you have a very strong prime time, and a morning crew (breakfast zerg) that i do not think any of the bronze league servers can match

The German servers are always good to battle against in my experience.

Ops i forgot Dzagonur.
So i change my previous statement and i am rooting for both Dzago and RoF as i have strong memories from those RoF-Dzago-Gunnars epic matches some months ago:)

i try my best to be civil and make trenchant statements (with the extensive help from a dictionary … ) and GH would be my server of choice to play, if i would switch back to an international server, lots of fighting, good spirit

Dzago is the great unkown, it’s been a while since we played them, and when 2 german servers clash, everyone there is extra motivated

Yes, 2 biggest unknown variables right now are Dzagonur (they didn’t face neither RoF nor DL in a while, it seems that they offended RNG god even more then we did ), so it’s hard to estimate their current strength, and RoS v.3.0, which seems to have attracted a lot of incoming transfers again.

Another factor that might affect outcome are very high populations of PvErs hungry for achievement points, but this can hardly be called a reliable force

Dont be so sure Anya, PvErs and their blob is almost dangerous as guild groups. They dont have skill but they have numbers. See even if you have shotgun, zombies will finally eat you.

I never said that they can’t be dangerous. Trust me, I wiped to numerous PUG blob more than once I just pointed out, that they can’t be reliable, aka they tend to come when we are already winning/leave when things get tough. I would definitely like to see PUG numbers that we had in matchup vs RoS and Arborstone during matchups vs. Dzag, DL or new RoS in the league.

BTW, what guilds exactly moved to RoS? I know about DEX that moved back and VM from UW, heard that NP moved there too, what are the others?

When did all the guilds moved to RoS? Last week they lost against BT and if there are not 4-5 big new guilds with huge coverage over 24h i don’t think that this would be enough to win the bronze league or even to be one of the top 3.

The fight against Dzagonur i can’t wait for. Haven’t played against them yet. Both german Servers with nearly same coverage at night. Could be interesting.

I hope that we will win but there are to many unknowns by now.

I would feel saver if it was the second one but poorly it is the first. 3 guilds left with around 100 ppl. So we had to find some new guys from PvE to fill this part. Takes a while to explain the hole wvw thing to them but i think we are on a god way.

Also a guild called WAR or something from BT transferred over there, all of the guilds transferred this week.

IMO DL is missing atm an awe-inspiring Guild like TaG on RoF with zergbusting abilities. we have dedicated players and small guilds who know their business, but we have to depend to much on our numbers

Therefore we may be a contender, but settlement is at the end, so we will see.

The ones I’ve seen popup in this past week:

[KISS] – Moved from NA
[FoF] – Moved from Kodash
[NP] – Moved from Aurora Glade
[WvW] – (Bt War) Moved from Blacktide
[RoT] – Moved from FoW
[VM] – Moved from Underworld (think theyve been there a bit longer though?)
[DEX] – Moved from Underworld (but were originally on Surmia so it’s not really bandwagoning)

I’m sure there’s at least one more I’m forgetting, I know [WAR] moved from Whiteside but I think that was quite a while ago. Once more though we have big raid guilds moving to a place where there generally aren’t raid guilds to fight, 20man hammertrains running around veiling and stacking might vs Vabbi’s pug force of less players. Building superior trebs for every objective regardless of defenders.

Seems like RoS are having more and more incommings every day. Somehow it is good, because it will be fun to fight them, but if they got too strong and stomp everybody that will be bad for other servers.

I’m not in game atm, can anyone tell me who has who in the first matchup of the league?? Mos millennium is not updated yet…. The suspense is killing me!! :p

I think there are many PvE players in WvW now… all 4 Maps with queue instantly. And many guys i see normally in WvW infront of the gates

mos millenium has changed for League now

Hope everyone in the league has had a good reset night ….. Bring the Drama EU Bronze league!
I love the fact that every group is being followed by PvE achievement hunting rally bots but on a series note I wish we could keep at least some of our PvE population in WvW as it makes for some fun fights!

Well that makes me sad, especially since their recruitment campaign for a while was “Don’t give up on Blacktide wvw, join us!”

What is it about Ros that always attracts these bandwagons?
This is like the 4th time they get a bunch of guilds joining hoping to prey on servers with allot less numbers and they have failed every single time…
It is like the ultimate testimate of being bad WvW guilds if you mass join the most underpopulated league just to win something.

Oh it’ll be the usual claims, “looking for good fights” “a true test of skill” “we aren’t afraid of fighting 40 people with our 20”

Yet moving the day before leagues to garauntee they will be fighting vs servers who barely have guilds fielding 10 people. After easy wins and rewards basically, why else would some of them be moving from top of silver (or NA gold) to bronze.

As for why they chose RoS, because the only free alternative was Vabbi, and RoS already had the security of several other guilds joining.

At the moment RoS didn’t seem to be that strong as predicted.
Drakkar has the harder Matchup vs Dzagonur and Ring of Fire and has nearly same points. But we will see in the future.
Next week they have to face Dzagonur, than a week later Ring of Fire and after that finally Drakkar has to fight them.
at least after the 4th week we will see who will win this league

Remember that the 1st weeks matchups are repeated at week 7, so it is highly likely if you win week 1 you win that one too, which will help your chances overall.

It also depends where the strength comes, as they are currently predicted a strong night force which isn’t too common at this end of the ladder.

I remember that. But at the end Drakkar and RoS will have to fight against each other in week 4 and 5. If both win first matchup, they will perhaps win the last one too, thats true. but than the league is probably already at a point the other server can not win even when the other server loses his last Matchup because one of them has perhaps won the 2 Matchups in week 4 and 5 against the other.

On the other side. If RoS loses against RoF or Dzagonur the league will perhaps already be over at that point.

Oh absolutely, the league isn’t decided yet, but there are certain advantages they have going for them

Yeah it’s going to be fun, night coverage is always an issue, and unfortunately one we can do nothing about however know that when we are on we will make sure that you have to pay in loot bags for every inch of ground you try and take :p

Don’t get our Guild [WAR] mixed up with the BT [WAR]
Theres 2 big guilds sporting the WAR tag
we was on RoS before BT WAR transfered

Bt War have the [WvW] tag anyway don’t they?

Yeah, BT War are [WvW]…

If there is a second [WAR] tag on RoS, then it’s not a big guild.

That said, it’s the [SnuG] tag people should look out for :P
