In the last topic. UW did say they wanted a Re-match in a couple of weeks. Seems that is comeing faster then expected. U guys wanted to wait longer???

Hope to see better fights. Then last week and then reset. Been pretty boring. Either blobs outmanning us 3vs1 or they drop like flies. been fun getting No loot.

Do u UW and FR have the same probleming killing 40 people and get 1-2 loot bags???

I have read couple threads about broken loot in WvW after the last patch.

Oh and what comes to UW wanting re-match. I would personally wanted to wait atleast another week or two. The PvE patch is still only couple days ago and we still lack men, but we will see how we do this week. Good luck to everyone

I didn’t mean it like that, but UW is a PvE server after all. So most of our people will do PvE stuff when it comes out, like 80% of it.

I’m not saying you didn’t see any decline in your regular WvW presence or anything. I was just pointing out that these PvE events really hit UW hard, like really hard. We have lost good solid lead because of them, we have lost a good even match up because of them, etc.

And I hope this is gonna be a little bit more even week

Who was the UW Commander (Engineer class) who managed to get his small group of 8 people wiped by 3 of us while attempting to siege Bluelake?
I enjoyed the 2v8 at Greenbriar too, but when all those we downed got back from the spawn it was a bit overwhelming

Anyhow, good job @ all servers during reset! FR and UW surely took the upper hand on EB. Please, keep it up!

To both UW and FR:

Yesterday evening and today morning give me hope this is going to be one of the great matchups for roamers :D. I mean, we killed, we died, we met many roaming parties (of size below 10, most often about 4-7), we got enemy northern camp, we died trying to get that camp… in short, lots of difficult battles with close outcomes and casualties on both sides.

To Underworld:

[GuM], I wish all servers I fight against had a guild like you. High skill level, you are in every camp we tried to take and you perfectly cooperate (Shadow Refuge res, tactical Supervisor res)…
I hope we meet again in this matchup, you are very hard opponents for our team of 2-5 (and you seem to never operate in too large numbers, so even when we die we can smile and say ‘good fight’)

To Fort Ranik:

[RDT], I rarely see such determination and tenacity as when I did fighting you. Fighting you – no matter the outcome – was always a pleasure. You charge and fight, no matter if you can win or lose, to delay that capping for a tick (with success) or to have a chance to kill your opponents (and you fight like devils)…

waaaaaa. U have to be kidding me, ÄÄ attacking a FR keep on primetime, we get report TEO is inside. We see 20 TEO. Then we atk inner gate and its not FR that starts outnumbering. Its GH. 25 Lion rushing in, then HT comes. I think with me being honest, I’d say we got the keep stolen by 60+/- GH vs 30 of us. Its primetime, this hurts soo much being left out of options vs numbers like this.

Big Salute to RAGE today for the epic Guild fights we had. You guys really stood your ground and was really hard to kill ya. My guildies and me really loved fighting you guys and looking forward to do it again, but then we will win:P <3 from ÄÄ to all of you!

Well those weeks against higher tier german servers and the horror to have to face 80 people zerg at 06:00 GMT taught us something:)
I do not agree though that we do not try anything else. During the day and at prime time we explore all the different options.

What was the Gunnar’s Hold [NNF] Guild doing yesterday at around 9pm CEST at Anzalias Post?
[WAR] breached the gates while you guys were stacking on the bridge, and only started rushing in when the gate was already down. Such a shame we choked you for long enough to give the rest of the zerg enough time to cap the Tower. Only the NNF Guild (about 30 of them) and a few randoms managed to get in on time, while the randoms (10-20) were locked outside. Good job breaking our man-made wall on time, though what were you doing then? You ran up the wall, stacked up, and…..did nothing at all.
I saw the randoms building a ram or two at the gate to get it down once more, while the NNF Guild was standing still on top of the wall, still stacked up.
My WAR group (about 20-25 in total, counting the randoms as well) managed to wipe you easily, even though you had the better numbers. You just didn’t fight back. What were you thinking? You could have retaken the Tower, but you just stood idle on top of the wall, being living loot bags for my group.
After wiping you, I stacked in front of the gate at the inside, buffed the zerg and pushed out to kill the randoms and clear the siege.
Epic battle, though I had hoped for a little more resistance from NNF…

You didn’t even show up anymore when we were taking Mendons right after that battle.
I’m guessing there was something wrong within the NNF zerg at the time?
Maybe the Commander DC’ing or something sortlike?
If anyone knows what happened, please tell me.

@Fort Ranik your obsession since last matchup with our hills is insane.

But yea, last night was pretty intense
Trying to hold our own border as long as possible. I think we killed quite many golems that night. After you finally got the Hills from us, you all went poof. Not that I mind, it made the recap a lot easier for us 6 in the border.

It’s the same select few complaining about golem rushes though, I’m going to be a good forum user this week and not say anything :P

On the other hand, it’s not nice to say we only camp in hills sitting at our cannons. We actually engage enemies whenever we can, and I think MM can confirm this for example. We may have it sieged up quite well, but this is because Hills is our home and prefer to keep enemies out! Though with our morning ‘coverage’ it’s likely we lose it at that time of the day, any day of the week, so we should be prepared for that.

Although without wanting to feed the fire.. when we golem rushed FR last night it was not just mindless lolgolems for the sake of it.. we did actually send over half our group to attack Garison and then had the golems sneak take bay in the meantime. It worked perfectly and only 4-5 defenders got to bay before it fell. Maybe if they’d scouted better they wouldnt have fallen so perfectly for it.

And then after that when we took garison we cleared at least 15 AC, 5 trebs, half a dozen balistas and some catapults from the walls, and the garison still had full supply. Why exactly would we want to fight for the better part of 3 hours to wear down a T3 keep thats been seiged to all hell when we could just take it in 10 mins?

I can understand its frustrating to lose a keep like that, we’ve all been there, but it doesnt change the fact that if you had more roamers and scouts you’d see it coming and could bring people to defend, especially since GH have a reputation to golem rushing every night… why do you still not see it coming?!

Because if someone is rushing with 10-15 Golems where half of them are Omegas it is impossible to defend something, no matter how much you scout or how well prepared you are. Those are the kinds of Golem rushes people have a problem with, since they are impossible to defend against.

On the other hand the cute little 5 golem rush GH tried against UWs Hills yesterday was quite fun both since we managed to respond and kill you and both because they were few enough to actually have a chance defending against.

We all use golems.

We all siege up our keeps and try to keep enemies out with AC fire.
Or at least we should try to.

Or at least should, when it makes sense.

Can we all please drop the siege whine wars?
The first big whine was pug vs guild teams issue, then these forums saw the whine about blobbing, and now it seems it’s siege whine time. Can we do our best not to feed the whine beast, please?

We’re all trying to do our best given the resources we have, be it guild groups, roamers, golems, ACs, trebs or t3 sieged up keeps. Nothing to whine, worry or cry about. This goes to my server-mates as well.
