I wasn’t certainly expecting this random roll. We did our best to drop down in rating to avoid this kind of totally one-sided match up. And even if had tried our best we would have not gotten so high rating this roll gave us.

Oh, well. I have been fighting outmanned almost all my WvWvW career and used to 2 vs 1 setting (both our opposing servers picking on Desolation). I guess being double teamed by two French servers isn’t that bad, at least they have some beautiful girls there.

My prediction is that VS wins, JS #2 and Deso #3, but Deso rating will actually go up, due Arenanet’s faulty system. Sadly the WvWvW population and coverage differences still don’t show up the scoring or match up process.

Haha this matchup Of all the possible variations! Well it doesn’t matter if we get blobbed by t1 or t2 servers, let’s keep on rolling as we always do! We will eventually face our own leveled servers. I dare to push our bad luck, we will be facing t1/t3 like servers for the next three weeks at least!

Deso have always been one of the best in prime-time, but come night and morning Viz and JS will reset all of Deso’s t3 stuff :P.

The score will be totally different by Tuesday morning. In fact right now Deso holds only 18% of the entire 4 maps and VS is ticking almost triple points. Deso has no night capping force or coverage to speak of. Deso has always been the strongest during reset weekend and then losing ground during week when many of our players actually need to work. Our prime time is good, but outside prime time we are sometimes so badly outmanned, it requires a lot of dark sense of humor to pull through this.

I am quite sure Jade and Visunah will sooner or later also double team us, as soon us we get outmanned tags on.

Good job Arenanet developers! You should maybe add a special 2x attacking power plus health bonus for that side, who is doing night capping plus a new boon “together we are more”, which gives +100% boon duration and +1000 to all ability scores when you have at least 40 guys in 1200 radius area. Oh and multiply the WXP points and server points by number of active players. More is better!

I recommend Arenanet also to consult leading Visunah players how to make the WvWvW experience better for all of us. Winning every week is so much fun and those who lose are just bad players and whiners.

It would be nice if they add the “daily/weekly amount of WvW-ers” on each servers and then match the servers. Old ratings with now added “randomness” are still bad, it will take months to re-balance servers and make the ones that got their “WvW population” low, like Deso, drop down enough to let the ppl on these servers enjoy the game witouth being overwhelmed by enemy servers. Every week when you get stuck with servers like this is pain and takes ppl away from WvW, especially the new ones – how can you rebuild you server WvW population in this state? Now we will just gain ratings up again and what – gaining ratings will increase our chance to be matched against those big “WvW population” servers.
Simple “win – up, loose – down” system would solve all this problem; everyone has new enemies every week (except 1st two and last two servers). If not this, Anet could have at least reseted the ladder when implementing this “random” factor, then we would see servers going up/down to where they belong much quicker.

And for now we can enjoy the not very useful outmanned buff and blob (screenshot) festival. Already feeling sorry for ppl who play during nights (we have few) ^^

I don’t mind playing vs Vizunah until the end of GW2…but Vizunah and Jade Sea at the same time is a rather terrible combination…

Let’s try to at least do our best when we can instead of complaining on and on about blobs especially since it’s a meta in most other wvw tiers. I had a awesome reset night on EB roaming and then commanding yes i’m a thief commander and not useless in wvw even in zergs, I’d rather not blob but it’s unavoidable with pugs most of the time and they don’t always follow a tag they just want kills, many end up listening in the end though.
We complained about Kodash and SFR when we dropped and then the random matchups which we were all looking forward to hasn’t been in our favour as I expected but Deso never gives up easily. We deserve better from Anet it’s not just messed up for us though but all we can do is try our best for now, work together as a server and set a good example towards those willing to learn till we get a more favorable matchup.

thats a bad joke… dont get me wrong i like the lootbags from viz (from viz i got my most rare items) but i dont wanna play 80% of the week outmanned on BL.

@crimson: ye we dont give up, but we loose more and more pugs/randoms because we only get opponents with higher WvW-population. And u know – we need this ppl!

@anet: The new matchup is also senseless like the old. Anet needs to count for WvW population and not the complete server (deso for example is pve) – and then u can generate fair matchups. With “fair” dont mean that we just win. I mean that all people have fun to play wvw and not just kicking in our kitten because the others are running over us. The outmanned buff is nice but we haven’t a chance to use it.

Cheer up deso guys! When there are at least 2 french server on a same match up it’s always a proper 1v1v1. It could be worse, you could go against Elona + random german server.
And to put it bluntly, on Jade, we are no more then you, always outmanned during week. And this week there are final exam for french, it will be even worse for us.

@Deniara : your vid remind me of my first day against viz… Trying to solo a supply camp and then i saw 30 viz jumping on me coming from nowhere and camping spawn until I switch map. But outmanned buff is great, no repair fee.

Maybe this is just cheap marketing from Anet, they know we all want to fight some lower tier servers but instead they give us the blobby ones ( no offence ) well maybe a little offence to Viz haha

I could have taken the exact same screen 3 hour later with Jade under pressure. That’s why it’s a proper 1v1v1. But, sadly I was on Jade Homeland where I’ve seen only 3 guys from desolation the whole afternoon. But the afternoon wasn’t boring at all, there where vizunah everywhere and we barely protect our garrison. All in all, that was a lot of fun today.

I would say good fights in EB, but it wasn’t. VS and JS are just walking lootbags lmao

And as for it being a 1vs1vs1 it’s bullkitten, we attack JS, VS come for us, we attack VS, JS come for us. If VS attack JS we attack JS and VS fallback to attack us. You guys seriously need to grow some balls lol

I counted only 1 attack from JS on Viz – Klovan and only 1 attack from Viz on JS – QL, rest was on Deso side and sm from time to time. Most funny moment was when Viz comes out of dredge and JS passed bridge near anza – when they see each other they just turn around and run in opposite directions
Yep we don’t have ppl anywhere besides EB and Deso bl, that’s why ppl want to fight in lower “tiers” and not with servers like yours… Can’t help it though…

And you haven’t seen the perfect 2 vs 1 they just pulled off on Deso BL… held the map all the afternoon, kept Vizunah under pressure nailed to their zone, then as soon as Jade Sea had the numbers, they started completely ignoring Vizunah and went all out attacking us and only us, and of course Vizunah was all too happy to do the same.
We repelled them three times, then we were being trebbed by both of them simultaneously, attacked on inner gates simultaneously, usual mega lag when all 3 zergs are at the same point and we couldn’t hold it anymore.
Legitimate, of course, but really ridiculously lame when the 2 servers who already have more presence need an hard all-out alliance just to take us down on the 2 maps we can bring their same number of players.

Arenanet should just forbid 2 national servers of the same country going against a third one, it’s just too easy to setup this sort of crap.

If you looked closely you surely had seen that we where pressuring VS on their Homeland the whole afternoon. Never assume that all the pressure have to be on EB.
BTW on Jade we learnt to play outside EB because even if you gain a lot of point from this map, this is not where all the point are. If we never dropped from T2 when we were against Elona and Kodash (Never again please! never!), It’s because we played a lot on the BL.

Oh! you want to play against people of lower tier? Last week we were against Piken and Augury Rock (9th and 10th at that time). Nothing different from us except they’ve got a little less coverage and bigger zergs (maybe even bigger than some elona zerg and they were going a us at their heart content because that was the best way to go up. They gave us a hell of a hard time).

I’m not sur you’d enjoy this so called “lower tiers”.

It’s not normal when you keep the pressure on Vizunah for hours and Jade Sea does absolutely NOTHING against them, and then all of a sudden JS starts attacking Garrison 8 times in a row during prime time while still completely ignoring them. It’s even more absurd once you take into account that logically Vizunah ought to be the priority target for JS since it’s painfully obvious that Deso cannot compete in final score, even after just one day.

Bleh, whatever. I just hope Arenanet manages to fix this crap because honestly it’s getting pretty old.

It’s not the first time and won’t be the last that servers avoid each other to farm desolation players for easy points.

However the need for desolation to fight lower tier servers is a legitimate one roughly desolation belongs in a tier 4 matchup in it’s current state. the argument that we would not enjoy lower tiers is false compared to the fact desolation has been facing tier 1-2 servers for months in this situation. I personally know what Piken Square is capable of as i and my guild where part of not so long ago it chose around that time to cap the max evolution of the server despite it’s performance to tier 3 and no higher to avoid it’s weakness in coverage some didn’t agree with capping the exposure to potentially skilled guilds in higher tiers for GvG and left for the likes of SFR and we moved to desolation to fight our former allies as our current opponents too offered no real challenge for us as a guild at the time.

Even if desolation faced Piken Square it will still be a far cry from the status quo despite their strength in prime time, night capping which tbh is the biggest of our concerns will be minimal and this in itself is heart breaking on logging in to find almost everything tier 3 and in your opponents colour.

This is why people leave WvW as to take this stuff back during daytime defended by an opponent with better coverage takes zergs we simply don’t have at these times unlike our opponents. objectives need to be flipped regularly enough to avoid each other dominating and maxing out upgrades and so giving the bulk of coverage in prime time a more even slate to work off, many want to fight other players not spend the first 4hrs of an evening face rubbing tier 3 keeps and towers goading your opponent to come out and fight from behind their reinforced walls and doors and when they eventually do they roll out their entire map force onto your kitten alongside a hail of AC fire.
