EDIT: Got my kitten handed to me quite a few times few hours into matchup.. this might prove more interesting then i thought :P I guess you guys know how to small scale fight – being generally small scale :P Ha excuse the bad joke. Hope we can have a nice week.

Had some nice small scale skirmishes so far tonight, to the WBC thief and warrior that was some great team play around north bay! would love some 1v1’s with you guys.

Nice to see WSR again , one of the servers that made good impression to me both in and out of the game (aka forums) last time we fought them.

Blacktide is my old server, I don’t know other European server that has lived through such glory days (back when we were shining in tier 1) followed by such a long and painful fall ( those mornings when we had no more than 2 camps :/ ). It’s nice to see that the server has slowly improved again from when I last was there. Keep it up!

I know GH has more WvW focused players, better coverage etc, but I honestly hope we all enjoy this matchup as much as we can. Good luck to both of you

Tough night at the office, Gunners strong at the reset as always, and Bt and ourselves seem pretty even on overall numbers. looking forward to this, GH are always a fun time server to fight, good luck all.

Was hoping for GH again, they seem to be the least blobby of all servers in the lower tiers ( the highest we faced being Fort Ranik ). Me and WBC hope for some great fights this week ! See you on the battlefield after some sleep :p

We’re always rather strong at the reset plus we won our last match, so yeah, we had quite a lot of people in wvw tonight. I don’t know if it will stay this way all week though

Just reset. Our numbers fluctuate massively but yeh resets are usually pretty strong

Poor Blacktide are being -creamed- at the moment. I feel bad.

Edit: Well they’re being less creamed now that people are waking up, but this shows that we were ticking 595 while we were taking down Sunnyhill at 6am (and with a gate that refused to die after being beaten down by 5 golems, a ram and 3 mesmers with Time Warp). So, hopefully GH can keep up this strong pace!

Had some nice fights last night, didn’t bump into WSR too much, but had some epic too and fro action with Blacktide’s Garrison. Blue, red, blue, red, blue, red. BT came out really strong when they all grouped up at spawn and defended Garri, but by attacking other targets we slowly prised it from them :P

Looking forward to the fights across the week gg all!

Amazing fun on Eternal Battlegrounds last night. Strong resistance from both teams. On a more kitteny note, Hai i am Nazgar the Norn commander from MM, on EB i shall do my very best to be the bane of WSR and BT’s existance this week. I can see a fair few more 24 hour shifts this week. Pulled 2 last week. One last thing, SM belongs to GH. If you trespass you will be shot. If you survive, you will be shot again <3

As for the current scores, GH has a really strong reset but do not worry, won’t have the same numbers during the week. We do have a strong prime time though.

Really fun night in WSR BL, your defence of garrison was really well done. My opinion of WBC was a little soured though when you started laughing at us in sunny. Did you really expect us to come fight 3 times our number who had seige and were balling up?

IMHO transfers should be disabled once and for all.

Gotta admit, both WSR and BT gave us some pretty hard fights yesterday. Couldn’t snatch WSR keep, no matter what and BT’s neverending attacks on Stonemist had me really worried.
Love this matchup so far, keep it up!

Last night’s Garrison / Sunnyhill fight was very good fun. +1 to everyone in GH and WSR who was there.

Special thanks to the guys from WvW and SS on BT (they know who they are) for the duels last night! And no love to the WsR zerg who thought it would be great fun to stomp us in the middle of dueling for the lulz.

Bit of overkill to go 15 golems with your coverage. Even worse to come gloat about it. Anyway, if your 15 golems make it to the keep unharmed, then it’s expected that you won’t face any resistance.

Gj on the cap, mega golem rush is always fun for the moment :p

I really think both BT and WSR are doing great, being fair and being more challenging in open field skirmishes than some high tier server we faced recently who hide behind tons of siege machines

Lots of fun fights so far this week, though I must admit being so outmanned so often can be frustrating. It makes it harder for small groups, and our zerg is a baby compared to your… five… zergs… Now I know how Vabbi feel every week!

Honestly, if in that matchup instead of , for example RoF, you had BT, I doubt the maps would be much different than what they are now, considering RoS’ power and numbers. It’s a 3way match, since GH can fuel WvW with more players and have more WvW focused guilds than both the rest two servers, it’s expected that the groups roaming will be bigger (without blobbing being a specific tactic we follow, actually many groups are just guild groups with a couple of pugs following) and the acs built will seem more.

But every server puts acs, I ve been wiped quite a few times by WSR and BT acs, and thats ok, however I do think your comparison with what Grevender says is unfair. We are talking about so much siege built by servers with so many people roaming as a mass, that – considering their numbers and WvW experience – they shouldn’t even need half of them against us. But that’s how they roll and with a bit of reading in other matchup threads , you ll see even higher tier than both of you and us servers complaining about same people. Comparing us to them is kind of untimely.

dude, I really mean it, you are doing well. WWW, being a “war simulation”, must include various elements (army, scouts, special squads ecc) and it happens that both siege machines and large amount of troops are part of it.
What I meant with “hiding behind AC” is referred to scenarios in which our forces, let’s say a 40ppl zerg, meet in open field an 80 ppl zerg and they still land at least 40 ACs (no kidding, someone on GH should still have the pics…).
We fought WSR forces near bay two hours ago and we didn’t land a single siege, other than being inferior in numbers: we simply accepted the open field skirmish. An higher tier server would’ve never done so, it would’ve called whole zerg upon you, landed uncountable amounts of sieges and roflstomped you in a breeze, maybe without even really noticing you being too busy capping stuff here and there.

And this is my upscaled nab mesmer soloing a sentry a few minutes ago.
Don’t be fooled by appearances, not all zergs are made by compulsive-blobbers.

The numbers seemed very lopsided last night, I dont remember GH fielding that many last time we met up, heres hoping a few drop off a bit during the week to give some more even balanced open fights.
Kudos goers to the GH guardian in the bay fight mentioned above, fighting under the walls with about 10 WSR twatting him and leading them all a merry dance, I was laying dead watching and chuckling away at how many were after you + + +

Really nice to see WSR swarming together in a pretty large zerg last night, made a great challenge trying to defend Sunnyhill from you as long as possible Was a nice back and forth fight for a while too.

Please don’t paint GH with the brush of blobbing intentionally. I know I was running around in an organised group of around 15 max looking for zergs/large numbers to fight. We co-operate on GH and work together. We don’t necessarily think “right guys let’s blob all over this map” It may happen we meet up for objectives. Most servers do this because it’s called working together

Tbh blobbing is not an issue. If your server has more players then it’s natural that you should have more in WvW. The real issue here is the distribution of players on maps. From my experience and this week in particular servers tend to loose due to badly positioned players. E.g.: yesterday on EB I tried to do solo roaming. Got me bored after the 5th fight being ran over by a group of 20 that kept chasing me through the map. I think it’s quite obvious that you can’t catch me. Why try so hard when you’re wasting my time and yours while being useless for your team. If you see a solo 1v1 fight or a group fight where your server already outmans the opposing group but is not over any objective just move on and be useful for your server. Props to the WBC warrior that fought me on EB before I got ran over by the rest of WSR (20ish people) and gratz to them for staying there and dancing on my corpse and laughing. Hope I dropped sth nice
p.s.: same WBC warrior – I proceeded to save your butt after you were chased by a guardian and mesmer. I killed the mesmer and let you 2 finish the fight 1v1.

I always love being in a matchup with you guys. You fight tooth and nail to defend your territory and never give up. Great job defending Bay last night that portal up to the wall where we were grouped up at South Gate kinda caught us off guard. XD
