Also A LOT of their roaming population left for lower tiers. So they aren’t what they used to be.

Its always fun to watch a bunch that are always so preachy about being cheerful to their opponents when they are winning, and to expose them for what they really are when you mercilessly annihilate them….

Throwing in DB,TC, or FA might spice things up for the weekend but anything below t2 is likely to be a yawn fest for SoR. The difference in coverage and participation is just too large. Even low rank servers with strong NA are not gonna come out all week if they are looking at a solid wall of t3 fortifications.

SoR will be better of staying with JQ and BG. Interestingly, if SoR, BG, and JQ fight for a few more weeks the gap between T1 and T2 may just get larger as T2 bleeds points to lower tiers.

Assuming this comment wasn’t sarcastic (edit: just noticed who I quoted; was definitely a sarcastic comment. Oh well, will leave my response below):

I used to be on BG (Sept-Jan), so I know how strong SoR’s NA is. Mag doesn’t come anywhere close SoR’s NA in terms of sheer numbers. At most Mag queues one zone during weekday nights. Once a week you might see EB + 1 BL queued. Even on reset night you get 2 non-queued BLs.

Last time I fought SoR they were, by their own admission, queueing 3-4 zones on an average weekday night. And from what I understand, it’s only gotten worse with their upward movement and transfers (30-60 min queues in NA primetime? Please correct me if this is wrong).

Mag does have a fantastic roamer population to the contrary of what Jinks.2057 posted. I don’t think any servers who have fought us in the past few months would disagree with that.

1. JQ – curios to see how they fight
2. DB – they need to take more ranking off us

1. Ehmry Bay, definitely. Spent half our time in t4 hoping they’d make it in, only to be shuffled randomly the week they actually managed it.

2. Probably Maguuma. Though depending on how this week plays out, Fort Aspenwood could be fun as well.

Why? Well, we’ve fought T2 and we’re not that far behind, but we’re not that strong. So it’d be nice to go up against the world that led T3 to see just how we stack up against the T3 worlds. Oh and EBay? I just want to see how good they really are for myself.

Kitten, being on a T8 server I guess it doesn’t much matter who we get. I’m sure ET and FC have similar feelings. Hell put us up vs T1 for all I care anymore. I just pretend we are the last dieing humans fighting off skynet.

Yes T1 (and T2) EU also had same matchups this week. My guess is the top two servers (at least) are most likely to be facing off most of the time as the ratings are so high at the moment. But then SoS played up 4 positions this week so it is really up to the RNG.

Both of those servers had great solo roamers represented by each class. It was really fun to pvp you guys.

My impressions since Blacktide fights against Dzagonur are: zergs, zergs, zergs and more zergs.
Apart from zergs i only met thieves. Thieves solo. Thives in duos. Thives in threesomes. Thieves in groups.

Eradon Terrace and Ferguson’s Crossing.

I don’t actually want to participate in that slaughter, but I wouldn’t mind watching it happen.

In seriousness, my favourite opponents are far too low in the tiers for a matchup to happen, and it wouldn’t be fun even if it did.

Ideally I’d like to face Dzag and RoF – both very friendly servers with a good playstyle and similar levels of coverage and strength.

Would be interesting to play Far Shiverpeaks too… we had a great rivalry back in the day, and this week has shown that the server really unites in the face of a strong enemy.

TBH, i know that Mag’s doesn’t stand a chance to win in terms of points… but that would leave the entire week for GvG’s!

The NA queue during primetime ranges from 5min-30 min id say, depending on when you queue up of course.

I just don’t want to see TC again. Too many months in a row of seeing the same tactics and guilds.

I think we’re pretty well matched up with CD and we’ve never played EB. Hopefully EB is mostly NA as well.

As for why? Well we’ve never played y’all before. You’re climbing the ranks and look interesting.

As a CD vet I would like to see Ebay again. To answer why to the post above…… You have a select few that like to talk about how you guys would thrash us. I would welcome the rematch as I surely don’t remember Ebay destroying us in any coverage zone before they dropped back down a tier.

Is it bizarre that I’m totally loving the match-up I have now? Crystal Desert is paired with Kaineng and Yak’s Bend. It’s a challenging matchup for us, and we’re finding a lot of reasons to keep pushing ourselves.

Of course, there has been a learning curve for a number of reasons. One of them is hearing things like “Yak is almost into Hills!” over TeamSpeak. At first I panicked thinking, “Kitten! There aren’t even swords up. Must be a YB golem rush.” In reality, someone was referencing a dolyak bringing in supplies.

We historically have a poor track record against these opponents and the matchup probably would not favor us, but I think we’ve improved a fair bit and it would still mean for some interesting fights (provided SoS has a bit more balance between NA/Oceanic since dropping down the tiers).
