Hello Everyone! First time posting to the forums and I’m glad to share my thoughts with everyone. Ill get right down to it.

I have played Guild Wars 2 since the launch and I have always loved it. From the wonderful environments, to the intense combat in WvW, PvP there is always something to do in Guild Wars. Yet, one thing always stuck to my mind as many of us asked the same question over and over again. “Where are guild halls?” Well we have been told there will be Guild Halls just in a later date but, the reason i post here is an idea for the Guild Halls.

The Guild Halls have always been a symbol to guild wars since the moment i stepped foot in one back in Guild Wars 1. Guild Vs. Guild (GvG) were always popular and even now are still popular. My suggestion though is not for GvG but something else entirely. I wish to offer a brand new Guild Mission, The Guild Defense.
One thing I have always enjoyed of Guild Wars 2 is how World Vs.World (WvW) merged the thrill of PlayerVs.Player (PvP) and the essence of roaming of Player Vs. Enviroment(PvE). While GvG is more for the hardcore PvP players. Guild Defense is for those who are inclined towards PVE.

How it works: The point of Guild Defense is the guild and its members must protect their Guild lord from waves of enemies, with each wave getting more and more intense and bumping up in Difficulty. We have no idea what kind of new ways our epic Developers will innovate the Guild Halls for GW2. Yet to my eyes, I can see gates, towers, and of course siege weapons. In Guild Defense, the guild has a fixed number of supply that they must spend wisely, either on siege weapons to fend off certain waves of Enemies, or repair the gates that become damaged from Enemies. As they get closer and closer to the Guild Lord the number of gates will get smaller with one last big gate that leads to the Guid Lord, now in some cases some would say “Oh ok let them just come in and we can kill them when their grouped up” yet, in Guild Defense I feel a sense a touch of realism would make it all the better. As the Enemies get closer and closer to the Guild Lord their Morale becomes higher and of course they get their own buffs. So this will strike out the potential exploit that would make the mission too easy.

From my experience in Guild Wars 2. I have seen that not everyone enjoys the combat of PvP since they feel it takes a lot of work and skill which i find understandable. Others have felt that in WvW its about the zergs which they feel kinda hinders their play style. What I love about this game is it has so many options and many play styles, and lets face it..Some of us just love PVE! I feel that Guild Mission: Guild Defense will be a fun, intense, and overall a fun experience for the PvE and PvP alike.

Now I understand that Guild Defense may sound like a numbers game, and of course the more numbers you have the better, but one thing I would like to look towards with new Guild Missions Suggestion is that we not only think about the big guilds, but the small guilds as well. So I would Suggest we do them In Tiers like the other Missions. I won’t go into rewards as that would be up to our wonderful Developers to decide.

Guild Defense will allow all guild members to join the fun and not hinder them with the World completion for many of the other Guild Missions. It pains me as a leader when I find a bounty that my other members can’t be part of since they don’t have the right level or Map Area. A guild and its member should fight together and have fun together. This to me is the core of a Guild and of course Guild Defense. So thats my suggestion, please feel free to express new ideas and Suggestions.

Other Ideas:
1. When wave has entered Lords Room, Lord will use “Fight to the last breath”buff that increases everyone damage and attack speed, (but take more damage and cannot Waypoint when killed)

2. For deeper depth and challenge, higher tiers will allow NPC to use their own siege weapons against players, in which case they may push out to destroy them or build counter siege to destroy targets.)

3. Allow all players to be scaled to 80 when entering Guild Defense, however gear remains the same (same as in WvW)

4. If Alliances are introduced, Allow for multiple Guilds to enter the Guild Defense (in which case NPC wIll be scaled properly to give the right challenge to the players)
