This is the fort/barrel defense. Anyone have any good tips? We tried this with 20 people and got absolutely rocked halfway through.

This is a rough one with a small guild. The stalkers (archers) can kill your barrels from far away and basically make you fail this puzzle very fast.

Basically have players on the lookout for stalkers, they start spawning around 8 minutes. Priority is killing them asap. We found the mortar to be pretty useless and focused all of our resources on the turrets.

Hey there dulfy, use your website all the time. Your hard work is appreciated.

I had one group guard north and two south. Which left one group to take the stalkers, but there were just too many.

20 people is barely enough. More will be better.

Glad to hear it was just a numbers problem.

Its possible to do with 20. Even 15 in a pinch and cutting it excessively close with 1 barrel remaining is doable from personal experience.

1) Upgrade ONLY the turrets, have them manned, and blowing up the Stalkers, Igniters, Veterans, and such. This is the best benefit I’ve found for using the Upgrades, though Caltrops Shot is not worth the time to upgrade. Focus completely on the Napalm and Ammo Capacity while taking turns with the other turrets on upgrading.
Turrets tend to be the fastest way to kill most Charr, having an ally out there to make them stay still for a shot works WONDERS.
2) Have people out at the spawn points, intercepting and engaging the Charr. Further, Stuns, Roots, and such as useful as well to grab their attention. Pulls and Pushes are simply perfection for trying to group them up. Guards and Mesmers are great for this, to block/reflect projectiles from Stalkers.
NOTE!: Have the person at the Charr Spawn points be teamed up with an ally manning the Turret. This way, they can call a Target that the ally on the Turret can see and send their firepower towards. Especially on the stalkers.
3) Any left, watches the camp for any Charr that are missed by the ones outside and supports the same allies who call for help if they are overburdened or has one/few that escape their grasp.

Lastly, consumables help.
Seed Turrets, Ogre Pet Whistles, Frost Guns, Rocks, Nets, etc. Anything that brings an extra body/target or is a great CC is always a wonder to have on hand.
